This is one of the worst Starbucks around. The staff is incredibly rude, inefficient and don't know how to mix a drink... which I believe is what Starbucks is supposed to be about. I disagree w/ some of the negatives here. Have always had friendly baristas who often remember my drink preferences. At least for the evening crew. Coffee is made as I ordered it- without error. Only complaint is the crowd on the patio that is always smoking. And it's 3 feet from the door- drafting inside. You're spoiling everyone else's relaxation. read more

I was with my aunt, cousin, and sister when this occurred. We were coming from Lake Katherine and were going through the drive thru. We were ordering and I had ordered something I saw online which I thought I should try. The person I was talking to raised there voice and started yelling at me through the microphone. First of all it's a drink I shouldn't be yelled at for that. Second of all, I am spending my money on your restaurant i found it very disrespectful so I would talk to whoever is in charge to fix that! I won't be coming here again that's for sure. It was very disrespectful! It may have been that they were having a bad day or something like that but i personally work in the food industry and i know you should not treat people like that especially if they are spending there money so you get a pay check every week! read more

Been here about 10 times in the last 6 months. I always get a grande dark roast with light cream and light sugar. Twice I've gotten a stomach ache because they put way to much cream and sugar. I would check your drink before driving away from the drive thru. read more

It's Starbucks, you either like it or you don't. This location is near the Cal-Sag trail, so it's convenient for cyclists, runners, and walkers alike. Probably the best staff I've ever experienced at any Starbucks. Always great service, and a correct order. It does get busy, so be patient. Only complaint is lack of bike racks. Like the other patron I to have to give this Starbucks one star, it took ten mins for me to get an orange blossom green tea with where I had to inquire about it three times during that period to see a person that wasn't even casually apologetic about it.. Customer service and attitudes are awful here along with drinks you want to return. Nothing like a rude barista giving my 12 year old a difficult time because she ordered "off menu". Then, an even ruder barista talks over her scolding us. Why did Starbucks send me an email about the Candy Cane frap if it is a trigger word for baristas!?! I personally have had no problems with the service here. Though I do mostly go thru the drive thru. I have had my drinks made as I requested with no problems. When they are out of something they tell me. No problems. My only complaint would be the people who order more than one thing in the drive thru that needs to be cooked they hold the rest of us up go inside. read more

I've visited this Starbucks about three times, and each time I had went I regretted not going to a different one, but my last visit which was yesterday only indicated that there's something wrong with some of the people that work there. I ordered a grandee lemonade, and after ten to twenty minutes passed I began to wonder what was going on since other people were getting their drinks that ordered well after me, so I asked if my drink was ready only to find out that several employees seemed to not want to serve me a drink. The guy I ordered from whispered to a young women with blonde hair about my lemonade, and she started to make my drink begrudgingly. As I took a seat and waited, I noticed some strange looks that were being directed at me from some people behind the counter. The looks I was getting from them seemed to be a mixture of something like fear and anger, so I decided not to drink the lemonade, and go about finishing my homework. About four minutes later I received what I had order with a generic apology. Why they disliked me so much is beyond my imagination. It's not like I was offensive towards anyone there, so my best guess is that they have problems that they can't conceal even for the sake of patronage. I never intend to go back to this Starbucks Coffee in Palos Heights. The drinks are sub-par compared to other Starbucks I've visited, and a handful of people that work there are probably far nastier than any drinks they make that's if they don't add their own personal ingredients to it. I'm only giving one star because SOMETIMES they give me the drink I actually ordered. I really dislike this Starbucks one, because more of the times I've gotten coffee they they have messed up. Two, seeing that their baristas mess up so much I really don't think they know what they are making. The older lady at the front register told me an iced coffee and a latte are the same thing and I ordered that and it was good so the next day I ordered the same thing (vanilla caramel iced latte) and the girl in the drive through asked, which do you want an iced coffee or a latte. One day I ordered a salted caramel white mocha and they gave me a salted caramel hot chocolate, they even forgot the white mocha. Today I ordered a salted caramel white mocha frappuccino, they gave me a white chocolate frappuccino. I should have leavened my lesson by now and try my drink before I leave the window but the only reason I kept my drink was because it was pretty good. And I'll add the only reason I continue to go to this Starbucks is because it's the only Starbucks on my way to work with a drive through. I really think at that particular location they should take the time to teach the workers how to make the drinks they sell and what people ask for also listen to what the customers want read more
