A cozy coffee shop sitting on 95th Street in the business district of Oak Lawn. It was refreshing to see this coffee shop, most of the hospitality businesses here growing up were bars. It's a funky shop, with lots of seating (in and outdoors). A wide selection of coffees and bites. The ambiance feels like a trendy city coffee shop, which is great to have for us suburbanites! This is my favorite coffee in oak lawn! It's so fresh and bold. I like my coffee simple, black with minimal cream. So those who do that well without all the extra stuff. That's a winner in my book. Such a cute little space; nicely decorated and clean. The aroma of fresh coffee is very welcoming. Today was more of a tea day. Met up here with bestie after work. My first choice menu item was not available so I went with a delicious second option. The toast was spread with fresh mashed avocado, crispy bacon, chopped egg and peppery arugula. It hit the spot. Solid hangout and working spot. A variety of seating (bar, tables along the wall, sofa and chairs near their electric fireplace). I visited late afternoon during the weekday to find people working, playing board games, chatting it up with the bartender, or conversing with their company. The only knock I have against here - and it's not a devastating one - is the food. I found it to be just alright, and something I could easily do at home. I do appreciate the variety of items they offer: breakfast and lunch/dinner items, desserts, and a plethora of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. I ordered the spiked peppermint hot chocolate (good,; the liquor sneaks up on you), chicken pozole soup (also good, just a bit salty) and the grilled chicken, bacon and avocado sandwich (fine, but a bit blasé in flavor). The employees were very friendly and welcoming; they're very good at leaving people alone, so you might have to seek them out if you need something in a hurry. Lastly, I liked how there's clearly a diverse clientele that visits. I'd come back and try something else food wise, and would recommend visiting in general. read more

What a hidden gem, everything was very fresh and very clean, it's just a cool atmosphere, ( they also have cute outdoor seating in the back of the building, ) we had an avocado toast,( avocado, fresh bacon, ,egg & arugula on toasted Italian bread, ) .. Came here for the espresso and cortado, both not good. Very sour espresso and the cortado tasted like tomato soup with milk. I also ordered a chocolate croissant it wasn't even fully cooked, soft and gooey, it wasn't flaky at all. Service was poor, being a new costumer to this place it wasn't welcoming and staff not attentive at all. Street parking only. read more

It's a cute place, I liked it. Though when I entered I was asked by someone rather brusquely if I was there for takeout or eating in, and then a few moments later asked the same by another person. I wouldn't have thought it was wait-to-be-seated sort of place so I must confess I was a little confused by this. However, I was just there to get a cup of something warm to drink. Not coffee, since I don't drink that; I had expected to get a chai latte but they had some specials for fall, one of which was an apple cider chai, so I chose that one. It was really quite good and blended two of my favorite coffeehouse drink (chai) with my favorite fall drink (warm apple cider). They have a nice outdoor space, one in the back and one in the front as well. The back space looked like its a bit larger. They also have a video gaming (gambling) area, though I don't know if they are video poker or what. And for some reason I didn't realize that the "cork" in Cork & Bean meant that they're also a wine bar (I was clued in by the sign near the door that mentioned sangria). They have a lot of events going on here (you can find current upcoming events on their Facebook page), and I thought that was pretty cool. If you're into The Bachelor, they're showing The Golden Bachelor every week, and they host trivia and book clubs and the like as well. The one thing that surprised me was the prices--I know prices fluctuate, but it was $7.50 for my drink with tip. I guess maybe I should have asked the price since I don't think it was listed on the fall specials menu. But at least it was good. Currently writing this inside of cork and bean! We got married yesterday and were in need of some delicious coffee and food to kick off our honeymoon. Cork and Bean did not disappoint. Service is on point-- they are quick and on point. The restaurant itself... gorgeous!! I love how well-kept it is and the decor is amazing. I don't have pictures because we devoured our food. I found this place because of Singo. What a great find! Parking in back. Limited. Outside patio is in back. We were inside for the game. Place is very clean. Washrooms are clean. You walk into a warm atmosphere. The people working here are polite and pleasant. It's also licensed. The menu is specialized. I had the Pepperoni and hot honey flatbread. Not, what I expected. It's a super cute space, but they've been slowly becoming less welcoming to students. They used to be such a good spot for my friends and me to study for hours, but now they require you to buy something every 2 hours, or you'll have to leave. Not a super big deal at first, but for context, when I go, I usually take a corner seat with some friends and buy about 3 meals, 3 drinks, and a snack throughout the time I stay there to study. Despite this, it's still considered not "buying enough" to be treated as a patron, and if I plan to stay, I need to buy something more often, or I will have to leave. It's neither considerate to your patrons nor to students who are also patrons. If you're a student looking for a spot to study in a pleasant environment, I suggest going elsewhere where they welcome all kinds of patrons. read more

The ambiance is so above 5 stars it is just adorable. When I town I love bringing clients there. The service is historically slow and customer service is hit or miss. Coffee is great no frills. The flatbread and salad are delicious. The only food complaint I have is they used to have much better quick baked goods. I used to love the scones, muffins and croissant. I liked this place and have come back several times as the lattes and breakfast sandwiches are good. However, today 12-21-25, I sent my fiancé to grab the order and use my birthday coupon. The kid (male) at the register first told him he couldn't use it because he didn't have the QR code. Mind you, my fiancé had the numbers for the discount. My fiancé proceeded to tell the cashier yes, you can use it I have the numbers as the cashier stated, "I would have to put in all those numbers" and my fiancé said "Are you kidding me?" When my fiancé came home both our sandwiches tasted like they were made yesterday and sat out. My latte was good at least. I don't like writing negative reviews for small business' but whoever designed the menu seriously lacks any insight into customer psychology. $4.75 for a 16oz cold brew is inoffensive, seemingly standard market price, however .95¢ for oat milk and another .95¢ for syrup is criminal in 2025, raising the price to roughly $7 with tax. Then I see the barista make the cold brew with cold brew concentrate and dilute it with water right in front of my eyes. Make it ahead of time and keep it in a pitcher if you are going to use concentrate! No one wants to see a $7 cup of coffee that is 80% water made right in front of them! read more

Cork and brew is a wonderful place to meet friends and hang out. The staff is exceptional . Super friendly kind and attentive. I order a latte which is perfect. I went in on Tuesday and the young man behind the counter remembered my order. The decor is warm and inviting . I highly recommend Cork and brew if you are looking for a welcoming place to just have a cup of coffee or meet friends. Unfortunately I do have one negative that is an easy fix. I have ordered the quiche several times and it is nothing special, in fact I tried it again Tuesday and it was bacon and Swiss, it was terrible. If it can't be fixed I would suggest taking it off the menu. This would not stop me from visiting again as other offerings have been good. It's an awesome place ! read more
