Grilled Chicken, Bacon and Avocado Sandwich (meh, it's fine).

Solid hangout and working spot. A variety of seating (bar, tables along the wall, sofa and chairs near their electric fireplace). I visited late afternoon during the weekday to find people working, playing board games, chatting it up with the bartender, or conversing with their company. The only knock I have against here - and it's not a devastating one - is the food. I found it to be just alright, and something I could easily do at home. I do appreciate the variety of items they offer: breakfast and lunch/dinner items, desserts, and a plethora of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. I ordered the spiked peppermint hot chocolate (good,; the liquor sneaks up on you), chicken pozole soup (also good, just a bit salty) and the grilled chicken, bacon and avocado sandwich (fine, but a bit blasé in flavor). The employees were very friendly and welcoming; they're very good at leaving people alone, so you might have to seek them out if you need something in a hurry. Lastly, I liked how there's clearly a diverse clientele that visits. I'd come back and try something else food wise, and would recommend visiting in general.

What a hidden gem, everything was very fresh and very clean, it's just a cool atmosphere, ( they also have cute outdoor seating in the back of the building, ) we had an avocado toast,( avocado, fresh bacon, ,egg & arugula on toasted Italian bread, ) .. We also had an amazing freshly made egg sandwich ( it's hard to find good egg sandwiches ) a homemade scone with cherries & walnuts (which was unbelievable) cappuccino and peach smoothie., we will be back :)

I was in need of some good coffee and boy oh boy was I in for a treat! This is a beautiful hidden gem. The cashier was super nice and helpful. Cozy, comfortable and good coffee. I will surely return whenever I'm nearby. I look forward to relaxing on the patio. I highly recommend Cork & Bean for great coffee and great vibes.

    Double espresso and cortado

Came here for the espresso and cortado, both not good. Very sour espresso and the cortado tasted like tomato soup with milk. I also ordered a chocolate croissant it wasn't even fully cooked, soft and gooey, it wasn't flaky at all. Service was poor, being a new costumer to this place it wasn't welcoming and staff not attentive at all. Street parking only.

Amazing women owned cafe near Oak Lawn! Such a nice atmosphere inside, staff is so nice. Cafe lovers, this is a must! The food and drinks made here are so delicious, they have a great menu and a seasonal one as well! We ordered the Arugula salad and Burrata and Proscrito Sandwich, both made so deliciously. They even have vegan desserts here! Hope to come back sometime soon! Please check this place out!

It's a cute place, I liked it. Though when I entered I was asked by someone rather brusquely if I was there for takeout or eating in, and then a few moments later asked the same by another person. I wouldn't have thought it was wait-to-be-seated sort of place so I must confess I was a little confused by this. However, I was just there to get a cup of something warm to drink. Not coffee, since I don't drink that; I had expected to get a chai latte but they had some specials for fall, one of which was an apple cider chai, so I chose that one. It was really quite good and blended two of my favorite coffeehouse drink (chai) with my favorite fall drink (warm apple cider). They have a nice outdoor space, one in the back and one in the front as well. The back space looked like its a bit larger. They also have a video gaming (gambling) area, though I don't know if they are video poker or what. And for some reason I didn't realize that the "cork" in Cork & Bean meant that they're also a wine bar (I was clued in by the sign near the door that mentioned sangria). They have a lot of events going on here (you can find current upcoming events on their Facebook page), and I thought that was pretty cool. If you're into The Bachelor, they're showing The Golden Bachelor every week, and they host trivia and book clubs and the like as well. The one thing that surprised me was the prices--I know prices fluctuate, but it was $7.50 for my drink with tip. I guess maybe I should have asked the price since I don't think it was listed on the fall specials menu. But at least it was good. I parked on the street, but I thought I saw parking in the back--though I'm not sure if that was open for everyone or employees only.

Service was amazing and the food & drinks were delicious. Definitely coming back for the ambiance as well, it's a great place to reunite with friends or even finish some work.

Cute little small coffee place with a few breakfast items. This place also has a small bar with alcohol options during the day and night. Give it a try. We didn't realize there's also a patio in the back until our way out but gave this a place a try. Super cute with nice staff.

Boomer loved that he was welcomed at the Cork & Bean outside patio!

First time visitor --- Long time time customer! This is a copy of a text message I sent out to my cousin on Saturday, August 31, 2024, relaying my actual first impression, as I was sitting there enjoying an cold coffee brew. "Here's a place we can have a cousins meet-up for lunch. After living here for 12 year, I discovered the Cork & Bean! For me, it's a "go to" place. It's even in walking distance from me. The menu is a just a 2 sided and laminated. They don't try to please everybody but the menu offers something for everyone!" The prices are reasonable!" I love that I can bring my dog, Boomer into the back patio and enjoy either a cold brew or spirited cold brew. Oh yeah, did I tell you the prices are reasonable!

    Just the bar.

This place is ok, but I would not recommend it. It is like a place that can't make up its mind as to what it wants to be.

    When did this place open?

I think a year or two ago. We've only gone once. Will go again although they were out of a lot of things on the menu or had things on the menu they don't even serve. Nice place. Try it. Fun.

We loved the pot roast poutine and again, the pizza was my fave. The service was fine, the staff was busy and running around. But friendly when we did see them. This review is one that should've been done a very, very-LONG time ago. We've been coming to this…read morefine establishment for 4+ years. Since then, we've had the privilege to sample quite a few items on the menu- and can't say that one was mediocre or needing improvement. One of their top appetizers would be the pot roast egg rolls- mouth watering, filling and very satisfying. However, today I'd like to talk about their breakfast menu and the service that makes your meal even better. We've come to the conclusion that Clancy's (on 103rd) is by far our go to breakfast place- no questions asked. Dana, who is the opener, manager, bartender, server & class act- is who makes us keep coming back. You know she cares about her clientele- always greets us by our first names-she knows what we drink- remembers it- and has our breakfast orders memorized, as well. Of course, she verifies if we're doing the same- and of course- we always do. If you haven't met her- you probably should- great sense of humor- the sarcasm is on point and an overall- real, down to earth, kind person to start your morning with. . Clancy's is lucky to have her on their team. On to the breakfast.. The pot roast hash is what I order..EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. The pot roast is cooked to perfection- comes with potatoes, onions. two eggs (I choose over-medium), toast (I recommend the sourdough- which they get fresh from the bakery next door), and then complete this dish with a Guinness gravy. I can promise you that this favorite breakfast of mine is also a generous portion-They really do hook it up and trust me...you will want whatever you don't finish for later. Keep it up, Clancy's!!!My husband and I will continue to advocate your establishment. You're greatly appreciated.

We got a trio appetizer dish w/ cheese sticks(packed with cheese), fried pickles and buffalo egg rolls(packed with flavor). I know I might get some kick back on this but the smoked wings tossed in maple bourbon sauce....had me feeling like I was at output(haha). The wings were good and fell apart off the bone as we picked them up off the dish. Pulled pork was good. And the steak bowl was packed with steak and flavorful, salsa was definitely on point. I couldn't see going anywhere else in the area for a bowl. Drinks were drinks. We kept it basic as it would for a dive bar vibe. Service was attentive and the servers watched your drinks as they walked by..... if you were quarter a way they'd approach to see if you need another round. TVs everywhere. If you love to golf they have about 7 golf simulator stations kinda tucked away but still in the mix. Golf was $40 an hour at the time of this review. I'd say this is definitely a neighborhood bar with great food. The only real complaint I have is we ordered tequila, soda water and lime. And when I got my bill they charged me for soda water.
