I have been to this Starbucks many times, and I am always just as excited as the last time to grab my favorite iced coffee. Their iced coffee hits the spot, especially on a warm day. I also enjoyed one of their everything bagels, which tasted as though it were freshly toasted its taste was amazingly delicious! It was the simple pleasure of pairing a bagel with cream cheese that I always look forward to. Now, it is true that the space itself had just recently been remodeled, but jumping from a main artery of foot traffic into this Starbucks, the monolith of the coffee experience, I couldn't help but feel a bit cramped. This is the second Starbucks location around Park Ridge, but this one is easily one of my favorite locations by far... not only in Park Ridge, but also around Chicago/suburbs. The atmosphere in this location is a lot different than that of other locations because it is small, intimate, and dimly lit. Every single person I have ever dealt with at this location is extremely nice, and I cannot say the same about any other location. They have also never gotten my order wrong here, and everything is normally pretty consistent drinkwise. Parking can get tricky around here, so I normally park in the large parking lot near Summit Ave and then walk to that location. The other Starbucks location is actually part of the large parking lot that I normally park in, but I still like this location a lot more than that one. Reason being, I normally go to Holt's for lunch and then stop at Starbucks, so everything is near each other. The Nitro Cold Brew is delicious at this location, and i love this location because they have all of the Cold Brews, unlike the location most convenient to me at Harlem and Lawrence. read more

This particular store is on the small side, but still very functional. There's limited inside seating, but a nice comfortable and shaded courtyard patio right outside the entrance. It's only a few feet away from the historic Pickwick Theatre, and oddly there happens to be a much larger Starbucks only a city block away. Anyway, very convenient to have around if one is putzing along Prospect Ave in the heart of Uptown Park Ridge. read more

I came into this starbucks and ordered. The employees were quick to make my drink but unfortunately made it wrong so I stood there and waited for a remake. As I stood there I could see an employee named Fran barking at employees and said something to one of them about thier "dress code violation", which in my opinion should be handled in the back of house - not in front of guests. No wonder the employees are on strike. In today's world you need to take care of the employees and treat them respectfully. I really felt bad for them. Underpaid and having to deal with someone like her is terrible. This is normally my favorite starbucks and all the employees here are great but she's gotta go. read more

This is the second, out of two, Starbucks stores in Park Ridge. I come here some times when either the other is too packed, or if I'm studying at the library and just wanna walk over for a pick me up. They're typically friendly but it's such an express location that if it gets busy it gets packed and it is what it is. They lost a star because there's no consistency in their customer service, but I also see a lot of turnover unlike the other one down the street. Overall I would definitely recommend, it's in my home town and I may be a little bit biased but everything in my home town is the best! :) read more

My coffee was exactly how I liked it. Service was great, the barista was friendly and my Frappuccino was awesome. Service was quicker than your average Starbucks. Great environment to study and get work done! I really enjoy the layout of the inside. Plenty of plugs and seats mean you can get some work done if you have your computer or tablet. Love this location! I have become a regular here. With another location very close, I always choose this one because the staff is always friendly and despite my difficult drink, they always get it right! Malissa always makes sure I'm greeted and has taken the time to get to know me which makes me feel very welcome every time I walk in the door. The entire staff is always friendly. Even though there is another Starbucks LITERALLY connected to the parking lot behind this store, I prefer to go to this one. For starters, if you like nice employee's who talk to you like friends instead of customers, then this is your place. Also, they seem to get the drinks right more often at this one. It's about 2:00 PM on a Wednesday and there are about a dozen other people working out of this Park-Ridge-parking-lot Starbucks. (Not to be confused with the other Park Ridge Starbucks, which I've personally labelled the Park-Ridge-by-the-Movie-Theater Starbucks.) Bring your headphones because all I hear from other people is "logistics" and "P&L statement" and "The committee suggests...", corporate, etc.. What's a hipster like me to do!? Other than the Fortune-500 gibba gabba, I thoroughly enjoy the experience. Their green tea lattes taste awesome. The movie is at just the right level. There's free 3-hour parking. Nice location with a friendly staff. Store is fairly clean and has a nice outdoor seating section. Strangely the manager of this store is rarely on the floor and avoids customers like the plague. Manager has been at this small store for quite sometime so the company must know something. Inside seating is limited with some customers using the free Wi-Fi all day long and seem to set up a personal office at this location. read more

This is a great Starbucks for coffee on the go. There was a short line and the service was very quick. We got a Cafe Latte and a Skinny Peppermint Mocha, both of which were prepared excellently. Not a very friendly staff. At least to me. I walk in and no one greets me even though there's no line. One associate is on the phone but the other next to her doesn't even pause in her conversation to another customer to even say hi, let alone finish up to take my order. First one on phone finishes her call a minute or two later and makes me feel dumb about not realizing a "tall" was a small hot chocolate. Sorry I'm not such a regular at Starbucks that I don't know that. No one has called my small hot chocolates that at one before or corrected me with such distain. Then walked away in the middle of me trying to be friendly about it. Next, no napkins in the dispenser furthest out on the single make your coffee as you like it counter and it's right next to the window so I have to reach past the person standing in front of the full napkin dispenser to get some. Not that bad but still. I felt rude but I had to get going. And my chocolate comes. I check to make sure there's no whip with the associate and he smilingly says no but AGAIN walks AWAY from me in the middle of a sentence I'm saying. And as I said, it's not that busy that he needed to rush off to get the next customer's coffee instantaneously. Made me feel like the smile was disingenuous. They may be friendly to regulars but definitely don't make strangers feel welcome. I'll go to the local coffee and pastry shop IN the train station next time rather than walk to THIS Rudebucks for their yummy lemon pound cake with a hot chocolate chaser. read more
