Nice opening store with Middle Eastern flavors. Love the coffee roasting machine sitting in the entrance of the store. Will be fun if we came in a time when they roasting the coffee. The air in the store fills with the really nice Chia aroma. The pastry is a little bit on the sweeter side. We came in around 3:30, and there were no lines. So we got our coffee quickly.

To sum: spacious modern decor, ok coffee, some selections of pastry, ok service. I've had some good experience trying middle eastern coffees recently at MOTW and Matari, so I thought I'd give Qahwah a try. Not very impressed though. I got toasted almond mocha latte (was a bit confused of the name, but I guess it turns out more like latte). The coffee is.... ok. It's not bad, but nothing impressive either. There's an artificial flavor I suspect, likely from the syrup, which I don't like. The blend also tastes a bit "watery" if you get what I mean. I think the roast wasn't bad but somehow either the processing or the making didn't blend the flavor well. Very sweet. Considering $7.75 pre-tax, I'd expect a little more for the coffee. There's some selections of pastries and sweets. I came in Monday afternoon, but not many are left. I got Yemen chocolate for $6.5. Chocolate is good. I think the texture is new to me, that it has a chocolate wrap filled with crunchy stuff and a cake-like botton layer. The shop is spacious with a lot of seats. If I happen to be nearby, I might give it another try. Otherwise I probably won't specifically come back for their coffee.

    Yemeni tea and honeycomb cake

Very friendly people and a nice breezy ambience. The Yemeni tea comes in a communal pot and is too strong. So if you don't want the bitterness , ask for complete sugar. The honeycomb cake has a lot of cheese, but otherwise didn't match expectations.

If you haven't tried Yemeni coffee or teas, this is your opportunity. The taste and flavors are pure and rich and wholesome. They have a variety of coffees and teas they brew in house as well as your standard coffee shop choices. They also have a bunch of desserts to choose from. Depending on the day, the service can vary. I previously went here on a Saturday morning and the service was quick since several workers were manning the area. I came today on a Friday morning and the wait just to get my order taken was almost 10 mins. This would be okay if the place was packed and busy but there was like 10 people at most in the place. This is something that could definitely be improved. Outside of the service snafu, everything else was good. The place is quiet enough for you to work or relax at. They have ample seating that if certain areas do get loud, you can move to another area in the place that is more quiet.

    Yemeni latte

Very few pastry options. Got Yemeni latte which was ok , lacked spices Khakis Alnahl was not fresh and expensive for the quality Cashier Jehad was nice giving recommendations May give a second chance when in the area Saw an employee behind the bar touching his long beard and not washing hands I made sure my drink was not prepared by him lol

Stopped in here for an afternoon drink and snack between some errands. It's a pretty unsuspecting store front in the plaza it sits it, but there's plenty of free parking in the parking lot, and it's easy to get to. Walking in, the cafe space is LARGE. It was mostly empty when I walked in, just a couple tables with people quietly talking at them. There are so many seats and tables here, it feels like a great space to meet up with others or set up to work or do homework for a couple hours. The only thing that was a little weird was that it was basically silent. There was no music, no tvs, almost no restaurant background noises, and almost silent other guests. I think some ambient music or something would help make it feel a little less sterile. A very kind guy took my order at the counter. I chose a Peach Cream special drink posted on a sign by the register, and a khaliat nahal from the pastry case. I took a seat at a table to wait for my order. The guy who took my order called my number at the counter after a couple minutes. He appeared to be the only person working the front (which was fine, it was not busy). The drink was actually super delicious, I had no idea what to expect but it was fresh and light and creamy. I loved this. The Khaliat Nahal was unlike anything I've had before and I'll dream about it until I have it again. It's like a pull apart bread with a creamy cheese in the center of each little pull apart bite, topped with honey and served warm. Wow! I guess you could kind of compare it to an American cheese danish, but so much more depth of flavor and richer. Thank you Qahwah house for a good experience and amazing treats

Great co-working space or gathering space to catch up with friends. There are plenty of options for coffee and even tea. You'll need several trips to try it all! Limited wall outlets.

The cafe is cute but it was empty and quiet (no music.) Service was fine. I got an iced chai to-go. Personally didn't like the taste. I don't think I took more than 5 sips. The honey that was added didn't dissolve. The cup itself was dripping, making me wonder if there was a leak. It didn't wow me like I thought it would after reading others reviews..

Really good coffee, hands down. Spinach croissant wasn't bad, either. I didn't get to check the restroom, thus the 4 instead of 5 stars. I liked the most the huge world map in carved wood on the wall that gives the history of coffee beans migration from ancient Yemen to the rest of the world.

I remember seeing Qahwah House in NY, so I was surprised that multiple locations of this Yemeni coffee shop has now popped up all over the place. We came here to get some caffeine fix and ordered the following: +2 Lattes with almond milk +an Adeni Chai - prepared with Yemeni black tea, cardamom, nutmeg, and milk It seems as if the lattes come automatically in 20 oz sizes, and for the chai, you can choose from 12, 16, or 20 oz - I went for the 16. Even though we were dining in, the 2 lattes came in a nice mug with latte art, but my chai came in a to-go cup - kind of weird. We requested the drinks to be extra hot, which they delivered. Note that you can 'add sugar' to your drinks; we opted not to, so those who want more of a 'sweetened experience', make sure you request this. Drinks are definitely more on the higher price point, running at about $6+. There were some pastries in the case, in which the pistachio cake looked pretty tasty; wasn't sure how fresh they were, though. The staff here are friendly, but when we came, there were only 2 who seemed to have a hard time keeping up with the orders. It took quite some time for us to put our orders in, and not sure if there was any sense of urgency. The place was spacious, and you could tell that this is a preferred spot for large group gatherings and for those who want to use the place as a workspace. Just be aware that there are some families who allow their young children scream at the top of their lungs without a care - can be pretty obnoxious. The place is located adjacent to the Holiday Inn; getting in and out can be a bit difficult, due to the heavy traffic on Touhy. Parking is available in the lot. +beverages at a high price point +slow service +loud environment with screaming children +parking available in lot

We decided we wanted a strong chai at 9:00pm and this place was definitely the right one! The chai was delicious and we had a pistachio milk cake which was 10/10 amazing. So soft and not too sweet. We also got a hazelnut cake (not pictured) and that was okay. But I'll definitely be back for the milk cake and the chai. The service was good, quick. As for ambiance, the place itself was packed, every single table was taken and it was super super busy. But overall still worth it!

My second time here. First time was when they first opened & I did not like my coffee. This time round, I got smart & read yelp reviews for recommendations...thanks fellow yelpers! I highly recommend the Adeni Chai. Very strong, flavorful coffee. Something different & exotic tasting. Get some sugar packets. I typically don't add sugar to my drinks but you will need it (2 packs for me) to balance out the flavors. The inside is pretty, spacious & well renovated. There was a bit of a wait so they carefully brew it for you. Don't bother about the flat triange flaky pastry. You should consider coming here to try coffee from Yemen!

Great place for strong tea! I tried their Iced Adeni and it was delicious and very caffeinated. I also got their Iced Chocolate drink for the kiddos. Large interior space with some educational/historic decor! Definitely supporting small businesses like this over Starbucks any day!

We shared waffle sticks -- one loaded with Kinder Bueno and the other drenched in Nutella -- both absolutely dripping in chocolatey goodness. Paired with almond milk cappuccinos that were smooth, creamy, and perfectly balanced, it was the ultimate cozy combo. We wished we had the stomach to try more from their menu, but honestly, this duo hit the spot and then some. The perfect way to wrap up the night, it was sweet, rich, and totally worth every bite.
