This is a mighty fine Starbucks in the heart of Uptown Park Ridge. We have dropped by here occasionally over the years, usually to get our favorite Starbucks refreshment - a delectable mocha frappuccino. Today was no exception on that practice. The staff and service and usual products have always been quite fine here over the years. The building looks like an ex bank drive-up location based on a drive up lane that still exits but is not used by Starbucks and there is no drive-thru service here. Their dining space is nice and airy and they do have a little patio space looking out to the strip mall across the lot entranceway. My only knock from a 5 star rating is their parking lot is a fairly congested as it is sort of shared with the adjacent strip mall and you have to watch for lots of parking lot traffic as you walk to the store entrance. The customer service at this Starbucks location is top notch, they are very nice and polite to the customers, I ordered the strawberry lemonade refresher and pineapple lemonade refresher drinks I highly recommend, it's always good to use the Starbucks app especially if you visit frequently to earn perks and rewards. read more

This location is always packed every single day at 11:00 AM. I waited 12 minutes for a frappuccino and egg bites. I do not understand why it takes that long for two things. I prefer the Des Plaines Starbucks, since I live in that area and those baristas make my drinks must faster. Also, the staff seems to have a problem with people under the age of 18. They have a sign saying that people under 18 should be with an adult to sit inside. It's really misunderstanding as to why they have to do this. I hate to say this, but based on the long wait times, the store being packed every day, and barely any parking, I don't think I will return any time soon. read more

Bought 4 drinks and 3 out of the 4 were incorrect. Ordered a venti iced peach tea with lemonade and received what seems to be a TALL with NO LEMONADE whatsoever. Was charged for a grander though Ordered 2 Tall Bubblegum frappes and received 2 tall strawberry frappes. Who gets 3 out of 4 drinks incorrectly? I guess they didn't feel like making the correct drinks since they would be closing soon. Never going to this location. This location has such nice workers that always help me think of new drink ideas. Meghan Brown is a really good worker and truly cares about the customers and their needs. The store is always clean, decorative, and relatively spacious. I always order food and drinks from this location and never have a problem, and if I do have an issue, they address it right away without a problem. Reading the other reviews makes me very confused, these workers do their absolute best with the massive amount of people coming in everyday, I appreciate the Park Ridge Starbucks Staff!!! read more

I was there this past Saturday and they were slammed with orders. Very very busy. Yet, everyone working there was so polite and cheerful! I usually go to the "small" Starbucks in PR, but that day that one had all the tables outside filled up, so I went to the "big" one instead since I wanted to sit outdoors and enjoy my drink. Very glad I did. I was just very impressed by the staff when they were obviously overwhelmed with orders. Another reviewer complained about how they treated a teenager waiting for a drink. I didn't witness that, so I'm not commenting on that incident, BUT there ARE signs all over that teens are not allowed to take up seating without an adult after, IIRC, 3 p.m., so that part of the review is misleading. read more

Come to this startbucks all the time with my coworkers. All of the employees here are excellent and provide excellent service. Anytime my drink was wrong it was promptly remade. This location is always clean and there is ample parking in this lot as opposed to the restaurants across the street. A drive thru at this location would be helpful to ease the congestion inside but also draw too much car traffic and draw from the service inside so I like it the way it is. read more

Looks like they opened this Starbucks in what used to be a bank branch with drive thru capabilities. They could have optimized the space by having a drive thru window, now these dual drive-thru's are sitting without use or purpose. Gives off the impression that as a company they haven't the money for a good renovation. In my experiences with Starbucks, some places stir up the final product and some don't. Here they don't, so stir your coffee before taking off, otherwise you'll complain to yourself that it wasn't made correctly. I like that they are so close to Le Peep. If I miss the opportunity of having brunch there, I can walk across the parking lot to Starbucks and grab a caramel macchiato and warmed cinnamon roll. Service with a smile and sweet roll in the tummy. It would be fantastic if they had outdoor seating. read more

I've always been confused why there is another Starbucks 100 feet away from this location... and it's not like it's in a grocery store or something. It's two separate buildings merely a parking lot apart. Anyhoo. I've been here a few times in the last few weeks because it's conveniently on my way to work and I crave chai teas often on cold autumn mornings. Each time I've stopped here in the morning, my order is taken from the people who make the drinks before the cashier, so by the time I've paid for my drink with the cashier, it's made already! I find this wonderful, as it eliminates the wait (although once I mistakenly grabbed the wrong drink and didn't know it until I left -- but I blame that partially on my lack of ability to hear the drink makers shout out the names of the drinks). However, the drinks are never that great. When I go during the evening hours, the drinks take a little bit of time but seem to taste better. I really do like the staff. They are very friendly. Oh, one more thing, it took me awhile to figure out that there is actually not a real drive-thru (bummer)! A drive-thru area exists, and there are usually cars sitting in the areas, but no order menu or windows. I feel like Starbucks could've used that... So if you're in a hurry, this is a good place to go. But if you want the perfect chai tea, the morning rush isn't a good time to get it. From previous reviews, I've read that the other nearby location is better (although much smaller and parking is not easily in and out). I've only been to that other location once on a walk -- couldn't complain. Sorry, I'm not a coffee person and couldn't tell you how those taste. read more

I am giving this place 5 stars on account on how the staff was friendly towards my mom and quite friendly over all. Whats odd is that there is another starbucks a stones throw away, yeah its smaller and maybe closer to the Pickwick movie theater, but maybe thats why it is there. This one is bigger, ample parking and a nice little setting with multiple hotspots for wifi and usually a few people relaxing inside and out for you people watchers. I like Starbucks. Been going there not just for a food but a feeling of being home. This time I felt like a complete shit. The place is looking beautiful but when I asked if they could warm up the sandwich they said the will not because it's not suppose to be warm. I said I don't mind and I've done it before. Jessica needs to go back to customer service training. Seeing as she is the manager, I'm hoping the staff doesn't learn from her. I was given my order of 4 drinks and 2 scones and noticed that my cold drink was incorrect. I told Jessica that I had ordered a double shot and she, in a tone that alone showed that she needs to go back to customer service training, said, "Like a Starbucks double shot or a you wanted two shots in your drink??" I said, "A Starbucks double shot." She then picks up my drink, sees that it says, "cold brew," says, "that's the wrong drink." (DUH) and that I had to go back to the register to do an exchange. An exchange??? Starbucks has always been so good about if a customer doesn't like a drink or, in this case, if the drink is wrong, they will fix it. I know I ordered the correct drink because I was reading from a list. So I had to go back to the register and have them do the exchange in order to get my correct drink. The price difference? I owed 33cents. Hope Jessica uses all 33 of those pennies to buy some much needed customer service classes. read more

This place has definitely gotten better. Not sure if they got new management at some point or the mobile ordering fixed up issues with slow service but I'm definitely getting back on the happy bandwagon with this place. I now actually look forward to coming in in the morning because my favorite barista is there: Amy! I've yet to see her frown, she always has something nice to say. There's also a dark haired gentleman I see in the evenings - but more rarely so I don't remember his name :( - who also has an abundance of positive energy. The place definitely seems to have gotten a work and attitude face lift. I love seeing all the baristas every morning, and my coffee is made amazing every single time and my food is always fresh and warm!! This is one of my fave Starbucks locations to visit. The manager, Jeno, is a great guy and keeps the store running smoothly. The product offerings are standard to most Starbucks but you do have a cool barista or two who works there, and it's always appreciated when they do a great job. Pros: big space, lots of natural light, parking is generally not a problem, Jeno the manager is always on-point Cons: usually very busy, some of the younger baristas still haven't learned the importance of customer service Overall great place to meet a friend or work on a school paper. I'd recommend going there between 10:30a-12p to avoid the morning and afternoon rush, esp if you're looking to find a place to sit and work. read more

A great Starbucks! Been going there for several years, and majority of experiences there. EXTREMELY consistent, very few drinks made wrong if any. Keep in mind that because of its location, near a school, it gets quite busy during weekdays from 3pm-4:30pm and on tuesdays 2-3:30 pm. Around these time slots, it's not only busy, but staff is under a lot of pressure, so baristas are sometimes a little rude but it's completely understandable considering the crowd. Lots of parking! I LOVE THIS PLACE!! Maybe im just a very forgiving person but they simply can do no wrong. They are super frendly, always clean, GREAT for studying (in fact this is the only place i can truly concentrate) and never screw up my order. This is my favorite Starbucks and I love that its so close. They are fast and always make quality drinks. If you are unsure of what to order, simply ask them what they recommend and they will be more than happy to help. Just last night I asked one of the workers which drink has the most caffeine and told her how i needed to pull an all-nighter and she suggested a venti house brew green eye cup of coffee with a pump of any syrup; This stands for THE BEST SOLUTION TO STAYING UP ALL NIGHT WITH DELICIOUS COFFEE TO KEEP YOU GOING. It was a regular cup of coffee but they added hazelnut syrup and not one, not two, but THREE shots of espresso and i must say that did the trick. I will have to say that this one is bigger then most other Starbucks that I have been in. The staff is very nice and when it is busy, the line goes fast. There outdoor seating is great, the problem is the seating is too close together. The unique part about this one is it has Starbucks reserves coffee which is special limited edition coffee that is only at a hand full of starbucks. I ordered and paid for my extremely expensive cold drink. Over 15 minutes later, the drink was still not made regardless of the fact that there were literally only two people ordering at the moment... and they literally put even those two people ahead of my drink, on purpose, as well. Several minutes after ordering and PAYING FOR this COLD drink, I notice that the temperature here is extremely FREEZING... quite literally under 60 degrees. Additionally, hot drinks do not contain never-ending heat and are not needed to be constantly held in the hand and against the body at all times WHILE INSIDE. I do not own any coat, and I specificially am INDOORS in order to NOT FREEZE. When I asked for the heat to be turned up to gee hm I dont know MAYBE ACTUALLY OVER 70 DEGREES AT THE BARE MINIMUM, AND IN THE MIDDLE OF DECEMBER. I do not own any valid coat nor is it, obviously, remotely acceptable for the managers of this restaurant to expect me to wear a heavy winter coat at all times, like every single other customer in the store was doing. And the respond from the employee was "probably not". This location has also attempted to literally charge me for ordering the particular type of coffee I will need, which is not something that a charge is for - different coffee beans then the disgisting "Pike blend" that is the only one that is always pre-made at a Starbucks. At the time I write this review I was still waiting for my drink. The employee, instead of saying "Did you have the mobile order?", said "Can I help you with something," then explained that she had refused to make my drink "because she doesnt know what I look like". She then states that they are literally out of over three different items in my drink - one of which is something which is made in the store and is easily available at all times. I am literally crying but am not offered refund or compensation in any way. I had to accept this drink, which I no longer want at all due to you know BEING FUCKING COLD, with tasteless coconut milk which I Unfortunately discovered does not work in drinks, which is why I carefully selected almond milk for this never-again-in-my-entire-life opportunity to make this drink, regardless of the fact that Starbucks' almond milk has additional harmful unsafe ingredients more then their coconut milk does. Of course by this time there is absolutely no time whatsoever for the recalls, which all drinks are a complete waste of money if you cannot have at least 5, and in this car, needing that heat as soon as possible. The audacity of these employees to offer absolutely nothing whatsoever, not even a refund with no drink given at all which is obviously mandatory in such extreme circumstances, both legally as well as under basic common sense. Since these employees refuse to make a simple whip cream for the drink, have no ingredients that male the drink worth ordering for taste in the first place, and also choose to wait over and hour after I get into the store to finally give me my drink by which time I should have been easily and well heated up with hot recalls, this is literal theft. The drink was also not blended properly, and had VERY LARGE AMOUNTS of powder sitting on the bottom, unable to even be stirred be cue of course there is whipped cream on top of the drink. And has the regular whip cream, which I did not order because I ordered cold brew whipped cream which is something that is made in-store by any employee, not even filling uo the cap properly so that the entire empty cap os visible and see through. When J have to specifically ask for the whipped cream to be put on properly - again being the ONLY customer in the store at that time who is speaking to employees, no other orders are being made - the employee questions me three times, then ends her phrasing with "so you want more whipped cream", instead of saying "Sorry about that." Based on the taste of the drink, they also did not even put in the scoop of vanilla bean powder which I ordered, at all, although that could just be the coconut milk which I found out makes things tasteless and which I as a result have specifically avoided in my drink this time. The drink also had extra ice the BELOW-50 INDOOR TEMPERATURES they have in here, when I have ordered light ice. read more

Not a bad place, same as any other Starbucks quality wise, the problem here would be the wait, most the time the drive through is a 30 min to 40 min wait. But you can go inside to order faster, and wait 20 min before they start to make your coffee. read more

I ordered a medium coffee and asked the barista to leave room for cream and sugar. She handed me a brimming cup of hot liquid ready to scald my hands the second I clumsily removed the lid. She forgot to leave room. No big deal. It happens. I could have dumped some of the coffee out into the garbage, but I stubbornly poured the cream and sugar into an already full cup. The end result was coffee trickling down my hand the entire car ride home. The following week I ordered a small coffee but asked for it in a medium cup so I'd have room for cream and sugar. Different barista, same result. I paid for a small, but I got a medium filled to the motherfucking top. Again too stubborn to pour some of the coffee out, I just drank it black and grumbled about it for at least two whole minutes. I can't say I'll never go to this location again. It's too convenient considering it's right next to the Original Pancake House. If I wasn't so lazy, I'd go to the other Starbucks right around the corner. But alas, I am so lazy. I'll likely continue to visit this location and continue to get horrible service from baristas who apparently don't speak English. Or is it that I don't speak Starbuck? read more

I like both this one and the location by the movie theater. I used to live in Elmhurst so I've only been to this Starbucks a few times; My visits are few and far between. I was surprised today when the staff remembered me and wished me luck on my finals! It was sweet. I like the staff and they are good at getting drinks made fast despite the overwhelming crowd that's usually there. In and out in probably 20 minutes :) Other comments complain about an illegitimate drive-thru. This building used to be a bank...so there is no way that the existing drive-thru money tubes could suffice for coffee deliveries. These are now used as short-term 15 minute parking. read more

I only go here because it is convenient. The other one a few hundred feet away, next to the Pickwick movie theater, is your better choice. Here are this particular location's problems: * It is a local teen hangout and the kids can get a bit annoying and loud. * You could frequent this place every day for a year, and the staff will treat you like you are new customer. Not mean, but just indifferent to the fact that you frequent their store and help pay their paycheck. * They screw up drinks often and sometimes just plain forget about you.
