I'm pretty new to espresso in general, and the Nespresso store at Old Orchard has been such an incredible experience from day one. I've been in the store three times now, and every visit I'm met with some of the most knowledgeable, kind, patient, and genuinely helpful people--especially Price and Eli. They've taken the time to educate me, help troubleshoot my machine, and open my eyes to a whole new world of coffee. Because of them, I'm now officially a die-hard Nespresso fan. In a time when so many retail experiences can feel rushed or impersonal--and when people are turning more and more to online ordering--this is the kind of store that actually makes you want to come in. They walk you through the options, explain everything clearly, let you sample different coffees, and truly provide a level of service that no website, AI, or computer ever could. I've tried other espresso brands, and honestly, nothing beats Nespresso. The quality and flavors are incredible, and the experience at this store makes it even better. As a nespresso owner, I'd never seen a boutique in the wild so I was stoked to see this at the mall. It was quite busy but we were quickly checked in and could browse. I got a cup of the holiday limited edition coffee at the "tasting bar"- it was a full cup, not just a taste! Staff quickly greeted me- I had my own dedicated staff person which felt very nice and high end. I was just grabbing some sleeves of pods, nothing crazy- but she was able to make suggestions and provide flavor profiles on everything. She clearly knew her stuff, from experience not just reading it off the box or something. I was very pleased overall and ended up getting a better deal than online as I got 2 free sleeves! read more

We went into the Nespresso Boutique at Old Orchard as we were browsing store to store. We have a Nespresso machine at home, and I've never been in one of their stores before. We were greeted immediately by a very pleasant salesperson who asked if we needed any help. Since we were just looking we said no, and she offered me an espresso, which I thanked her for, but said no. They have quite a selection of both machines and pods. While we didn't need anything, I didn't know they had so many different options for coffee/espresso pods. Old Orchard is a bit far for us to go to buy coffee pods, but I have ideas of what I want to order next from what we saw at the store. read more

This is a review of the staff NOT the Nespresso products - I love the products and will continue to drink Nespresso coffee forever! But kind of an awkward experience the other day - I was the only customer in the store on a random Tuesday afternoon. The second I walked in I got asked my name so they could add me to the "queue" which was odd since I would've been the only one in the queue. I felt like I couldn't shop around and take my time. Two employees just continued to stare at me. I've never had this experience before at Old Orchard but it kind of deterred me from wanting to come back. read more

I asked if I was able to quickly pay for my pods as I only needed one box, and a worker turns to me and says with an attitude "if it's your turn" as he rolls his eyes. Friday 4/24/26 at 6:00pm - stopped in because I was at Old Orchard to pick up an order from another store and wanted to see if there was anything new or different in the store vs online and I needed a recycle bag (I just ordered over $100 of coffee via the Nespresso website earlier this week). There were multiple people already in line so I asked the employee behind the beverage counter what they were brewing today, thinking I could have a sample of something while I waited in line and she declined, said they have to serve the other customers first who were clearly standing in line to get capsules. She then informed me they don't serve coffee for purchase which I am fully aware of as a customer since 2016. I did not appreciate her attitude or approach which made me feel like I was in there for free coffee and to take advantage, so I walked out instead of waiting to potentially purchase more coffee. I think I will stick to ordering online because that was a pretty awful experience. Wait times are long most visits to the store but the staff is always helpful and courteous, not the case today. read more

Love Nespresso machines and their coffee! This is not about the product, it's about the store experience. I visit the Old Orchard store quite often and usually the reps are very attentive and nice. Well, not this time! The lady that took our order was rude and seemed rather irritated that we are shopping. After placing my order, I decided to add few more sleeves. I have been here a few times with different people. The store employees are 2nd to none even though they have like a 10 min sales procedure they do with each customer asking about your relationship with coffee , etc. That is why if you are waiting in line and there are 6 people in line and there are 4 sales associates that it could be possibly 30 min before you talk to someone and by that time I could have had at least 2 espressos. I was here to help my sister buy an espresso machine. While the espresso machine cost over $500 we all know that a good espresso machine could cost over $2k. Actually such an amazing experience, not that its ever been bad. I was buying nespresso as a gift for someone and wasnt sure of the machine type they had, which would impact the type of pods I had to buy. The Nespresso Boutique Team was VERY kind and were all super helpful in helping me get the right product by using the persons phone number. They also threw in sample pods and a mail in collection bag for used pods, which was so sweet! The store is also very clean and nicely set up/organized, and is pleased to look at in my opinion. It was my first time at the store. Usually buy the sleeves on their site. I like trying new flavors. One of the seasonal flavors i wasn't a fan of. So I decided I wanted to try the new flavors I found out that you can try them in store, after putting my name on the list. My boyfriend and I waited about 5-10 minutes it was busy and the counter where the samples are is a complete mess. An older lady about 5"2- 5"5 called my name I would her I was like to try the new flavors, she said which one? I said all 3? She only one! Would you like it iced with milk and sugar? I said yes please. As soon as she hand me, the drink didn't even give me a chance to take a sip and she said what do you do you want to order?! It was pretty awkward. I had to tell her can I take a sip first? I would like to know if I like the coffee. The iced coffee was hot with no sugar. I get it's a tasting but she left a bad taste in my mouth. When you try Nespresso coffee, nothing else will be good enough. While this is true and you can order coffee online, both Nespresso cafes downtown closed. So I chased up to Old Orchard Mall in Skokie to replenish. I asked the woman who was assisting me if they had gotten busier with the downtown customers since the stores down there had closed. She told me that new Nespresso Cafe opened on Michigan Avenue! I will certainly have to investigate. This shop at Old Orchard is easy to find. As I approached I saw that there was one woman waiting before me to enter. It's so nice that they ensure limited capacity and other safety measures. As I waited, the woman at the door talked about the sales they were having and the packages offered. They have a great checklist that she started to fill out for me as we waited. It wasn't long before I entered and a salesperson took over. She was sweet and helpful. She placed my order into the computer and then went in the back to fill my bag FULL of coffee. The process was so easy and I even bought some extras. They have gorgeous, black, handleless mugs that came free if you purchased a 4 pack of winter flavors. I also bought soft rubber ice trays for making coffee ice for your cold beverages. They are great because they do not dilute your iced coffee! They were on sale too! The store is very attractive, the staff is more than amazing and everything was fulled stocked. Ever since I was in London and a real Nespresso Boutique, this is the best I have within 100 mile radius. Unfortunately with Covid they're still not giving in store samples but you can take it outside from the tasting bar. There aren't any milk, or sugar additions so that's a bummer. And in the store you don't get the same specials as you do online such as one free sleep when you buy 10. It's basically a store with a line to stand in and check out. read more

Are you ready to say goodbye to Starbucks and say hello to Nespresso? If so, come on over to this Nespresso Boutique! I've seen pictures on Yelp and I've walked past, but I loved being INSIDE! I've been wanting a Nespresso for quite some time and my hubby recently bought me a Nespresso Vertuo system. It comes with an Aeroccino milk frother. I literally wake up on weekends to make my latte. When my sample pods ran out, what did I do? Look up on Yelp and head on over to Nespresso store! I've done some research on Yelp before walking in so I was looking forward to a positive experience. When I walked in, there were only 2 employees but both of them had a customer in front of them. I didn't even get a welcome in or we'll help you in a minute so I was a bit disappointed. But I was determined to buy some Vertuo pods so I stuck around and looked around. When an employee finally was freed up, she asked what I wanted. Still, I didn't quite feel welcomed but that's ok- I kept telling myself, don't walk away. I need to go home with some pods. Each pack comes with 10 pods. So I explained my situation and picked out 3 different kinds that I've liked from my sample package. She asked if I had shopped before and when I said no, she said if buy 2 more and I can get 1 free as a new customer deal. So.... in truth, I went in to buy 1 pod but I walked out with 6!!!! I had ordered on Amazon but the price was comparable at the store. Since I want this business to stay open, I may frequent to give my business to the store instead of a third party like Amazon. read more

This Nespresso Store at Westfield Old Orchard in Skokie, IL is definitely not up to usual Nespresso standards. Every time I stop in, they are out of one of the coffees I wish to buy. Then when I asked to buy the Nespresso Starbucks Remix Blend, they told me they couldn't sell it at their store, but I could go to the Downtown Store to buy it. That seemed strange to me, so I called Nespresso customer service and they told me that wasn't true. All of their stores can sell it. So, the staff was not knowledgeable or helpful. But the salesperson who I dealt with was very nice, just not competent. I know I can order on line and I guess that is what I will do from now on, but I wish my "neighborhood" Nespresso Store was better run. read more

Editing my review because I spent 50min between two phone reps today, 11/29, regarding my experience on 11/26. I still stand by the below: Nestle is an evil corporation that purchases free, public land water ways and privatizes them, for profit. Maybe now, as a consumer, I can use my tiny financial influence to enact policy change and social disobedience to this terrible practice. It sucks that their subsidiaries, dignorno and nespresso, make amazing pizza and coffee, but the parent company is toxic. (Their chocolate factories and farms internationally have used forced/slave, as well as, child labor in the past, too) FYI only 2% of the 14 billion capsules sold annually by Nespresso get recycled. While that is the fault of the consumer for not participating or caring about the Certified B Corporation status, it means 12 billion+ pods end up in landfills and contribution to the pollution of the environment and destruction of the globe. read more

Went on Saturday to this store hoping to take my time picking out new flavors and experiencing the store since I normally order my pods from Amazon for my Vertuo machine. When I got there, there was a line, which is fine because I understand the store is small and there are COVID protocols in place. When I got to the front of the line, the woman working at the store was not pleasant. She had a clip board and was asking me what I wanted, if I registered my machine, if I bought my machine through nespresso or through another party. Um, what? Why else would I be here buying coffee if I didn't have a nespresso machine? Odd off the bat. Keep in mind there is a long line behind me, so I had very short amount of time to tell this woman with a clipboard outside the store what I wanted to order. I asked her if I could fill out the sheet myself (so I could actually look at the options and review it properly) and she said no, due to covid she had to fill it out for me (which makes no sense because she was right up in my face taking my order). I got inside the store finally with the order and was looking around, I noticed the sales person is following around like a hawk. This is a nespresso store, selling coffee pods at the end of the day. The employees act as if they are selling the hope diamond. Selling coffee by acting pretentious is definitely a turn off for a customer. Would not go back especially to old orchard location. I was very fortunate to have won a prize through a Yelp event and had been a fan since then. I like the many many different choices of coffee or expresso to choose from. I used to use Keurig cups but I find that recycling with Nespresso is so easy and I'm helping the environment so it gives me a warm feeling. My favorite is the double expresso with 1/2 milk and 1/2 coconut milk with an overall mild sweetness to it is perfect. The sales associates are always friendly and I can try a new coffee anytime here. read more

Not really a big coffee drinker. This is for your serious coffee drinkers, they even have a online. I did have a decaf coffee it was just ok I don't know what I was tasting for it did come in handy for the chili end of the evening of the Mall Crawl. I must say it's a nice coffee boutique to go and sample coffees and replenish your stash, so just know there is no seating there. Shopping around came to this store and got a Nespresso VertuoLine Evoluo DeLuxe bundle. The location of the store is good since it is in the middle of the mall. When I came in there was a line and while waiting you can get complimentary coffee to try different tastes. Once the associate was available I asked a few questions and got my answers. The staff was friendly in the store and knowledgeable about their product. I really like that they recycle their pods, you can either mail them or bring them to the store so that made the decision easier to get one. Went to the Nespresso Boutique store in Old Orchard last week. Because I would not provide my phone number they would not provide the 3 free sleeve after I spent $200 for coffee? When I asked the clerk to add my number she said, I would have to refund all these first and was not happy about the process. So I left the store and called customer service. They said I needed to send a copy of my receipt and said they could not email the email address nor text it and I would have to write it down. I was driving on the highway and said I am driving and she said "cant you pull over for a minute". Really, she said that. Crazy. I pulled over and thought why am I doing this for 3 sleeves of coffee? I emailed my receipt and same explanation as above. Said I would like 3 sleeves of the sweet vanilla and guess what. I got some other sleeves that I don't like and don't drink. The company is so big they just don't care about their customers. Will be looking for another option as there are a lot out there! So I came to the mall originally for a table from Pottery Barn and somehow walked into Nespresso and came out with a $300 espresso machine lol. Am I angry, do I have buyers remorse??, absolutely NOT! I am in love with my Nespresso machine. I was spending well over $50-100 a month reloading my Starbucks card only to get some crappy coffee on the way to work in the morning. This buy was perfect because I drink a lot of coffee. Since purchasing this machine I haven't been to a Starbucks and my ninja coffee maker and Keurig are both collecting dust now lol. Anyways back to the review. When you walk into the Nespresso boutique you feel like you've stepped into this new world of coffee that you didn't even know existed. Oh and did I mention they will make you a cup of coffee or espresso at their very chic coffee bar. The guy helping us pick out a machine was in training but he was still very knowledgeable and helped out a lot. We decided on a midrange machine that came with the milk frother. I'm able to make everything from a basic single shot espresso to a caramel macchiato or an iced latte, the possibilities are endless! The pods needed for the machine are very reasonably priced. I also love the fact that you get a bag to put your used pods in to recycle . All you do is either bring the bag back to the Nespresso store or drop it off at the UPS store. So you get a kick a$$ machine and help out the environment at the same time, it's a win win! So my advice if you love coffee but tired of shelling it out to mediocre coffee shops.
