Worst chai latte I have had from Starbucks!!! Staff needs to be educated on making quality drinks.

Back from California to visit my family here in Piscataway and decided to get the holiday drinks/cups from this location today 11/6/2020. Normally, we don't get specialty seasonal drinks but decided to treat the family. Placed mobile order for 3 drinks for pick up b/c I knew it would be a very busy day. When picking up the order, they had forgotten to give me the holiday cups. I politely asked the barista/manager that the cups were missing and then was given 1 cup followed by "Only the peppermint drink qualifies". I showed them the Starbucks website which clearly states ALL three of my drinks qualifies. Now at this point I've been met with rolling eyes and can feel the daggers shooting from her eyeballs. She reluctantly gave me the remaining 2 cups with a side of attitude. I am usually not one to complain about my drink or food unless its made terribly wrong. Soo many things would have to go sideways before I say something but rudeness and bad attitude are two things I simply cannot tolerate on a personal and professional level. Also to note, my family and I ordered 7 Holiday drinks combined this morning, that's close to $45 worth of drinks. How does 2 plastic holiday cups affect your bottom line!! Now reading all the prior reviews, looks like this location has a reputation of poor customer service and rude employees. Very sad b/c a few bad apples gave the rest of the employees a bad rep. read more

Just like your average Starbucks in terms of drinks and pricing. The bathrooms are well-kept and the place is clean in general-- though very dim. I usually come here when my go-tos are closed or I need a change of scenery. And that too usually in the evenings because I'd feel very depressed sitting in a dim shop all day when it's sunny outside. The staff here is definitely friendlier but it depends on who's working. I've noticed that the male baristas and one very bubbly female barista (she has curly hair and a lot of energy) are usually more pleasant. I have two problems with it: The baristas BLAST music most of the time. It not only makes studying difficult, but also forces people to talk louder than usual. My ears hurt after like 10 min and I can only tolerate sitting around for about an hour. They're SUPER crowded most of the time and their wifi can be slow/spotty. The best qualities: Outlets. They have so many outlets. Such a blessing. And of course some of the baristas. read more

I live in Cali and happened to be on the phone when my niece was going through the drive-thru to order a Chai tea latte. I was confused after I heard the major rude greeting by the employee and the rude response to the specified order I said to my niece You can't be at Starbucks !!! I never have encountered anything or anyone like that at the Starbuck(s) I frequent here in Cali. The order may need tweaking sometimes but never a RUDE Starbucks employee EVER. That employee (V) needs to repeat her customer service class because she clearly was an EPIC FAIL at it the first go around. (??????) read more

This Starbucks is horrible. I went when they first opened and the drive thru was super slow, and the cold brew tasted watered down. I figured I'd give them another chance as they've now been open for some time. By the way, they just moved to a new store, so not completely new. Anyway, the drive through is closed at prime time...it's about 9am...and then after waiting online for almost 10 minutes, they don't have cold brew!!!! They should put a sign up so you don't wait in line. I WON'T be coming here again. read more

This is my home base Starbucks. I seem like 3 store managers and countless of baristas come & go... They are very friendly and fast. They don't make mistakes most of time but when they do they will remake it for you if you tell them. Bathroom are reasonable clean & well stocked with toilet paper & seat covers. read more

I tried to give this location many opportunities. I will never understand how with zero customers inside it still take 15 mins to get a coffee. Then for the nonchalant coffee "barrister" gives you a cup full of cream! Never again. Skip this location.. read more

I have been to MANY Starbucks. This Starbucks is by FAR THE WORST one I have EVER been too. The mobile orders are Never, ever, ready, the employees are very unfriendly. They never make drinks right, which for the price of the drinks they should be. Horrible. read more

This is my go to coffee place. Everyone is friendly, whether I go in the afternoon or come in the early morning after my overnight shift, they maintain the friendliness. It's a good place to hang for a bit, if you're lucky enough to get a seat. And definitely worth leaving the house just for a cup of coffee when you have nothing better to do. read more

This location is consistently bad. I used to work for Starbucks so I know what I'm ordering and how it should be ordered so other people know what to do since I can't make it anymore. The staff here are also rude and have attitudes. I've ordered very basic drinks as well and they can't seem to get that correct either, won't be coming back and wasting any more money at this location They also purposely shut their mobile order system down to minimize the amount of orders coming through so don't count on the app to order ahead and get out quickly. read more

This place has the most incompetent people working there. The Starbucks in port authority bus terminal in NYC is faster and more organized than this place. Their drinks also don't taste like any other Starbucks. Seems like they don't follow the recipes and make their drink wayyy sweeter than other Starbucks. The only reason I go here is because it's the closest one to my house otherwise I would boycott this Starbucks, their crappy service and incompetent staff!! Avoid if at all possible!! read more

Stopped by today for coffee. This place is getting worse every day. Bought a coffee with 2 shots but the girl did not write it down on a cup or even asked for my name. I thought the other girls there heard the order and prepared it. No...I've waited for 7 minutes and still no coffee. Asked the shift supervisor where my coffee went and he said they'd make it for me. Waited another 5 minutes and still no coffee. Asked the third time for the coffee again and some girl said she'd make it but then forgot to add my 2 shots. When questioned, the shift supervisor gave me a lame ass excuse "oh she is new...blah..blah...blah". I've been coming to this place for many years and this place service quality is going down the toilet. Go some place else if you want you coffee made right and better service. I frequent this Starbucks as it's "own the way". It's what has kept me returning even when the drinks remain inconsistent. They have often mixed up my order which can be problematic for a multitude of reasons. I am always relieved when I see my favorite barista, because I know everything will be alright. A bit dramatic but fellow Starbucks drinkers understand. On my last visit, they ran out of the matcha which is used to make the green tea latte. The cashier was apologetic and shared her own disappointment as she was looking to have the same drink that day before work. That leads me to the other reason why I always come back. The entire staff is always pleasant, welcoming; and if your drink is incorrect, they fix it with no problem. People make errors, but I really care more about how its handled. That's worth more in my book. read more

Hours are always all over the place sometimes open sometimes closed can't figure out what's going on tried calling before no answer. On the door it just says sorry closed in a hand written sign. read more

Kind of slow & on the smaller side compared to most Starbucks. But the got the order right and were very nice so I'd be back! It was pretty busy for a weekday afternoon and the parking lot was a mess took me forever to back out of the spot I was in. No drive through which is a minus in a parking lot that small but oh well. read more

Went here twice, and that was enough. Hard to decide which was worse- the distracted counterperson who made ordering seem like a confusing chore, or the loudmouth barista who is constantly jabbering about having two jobs. Let's just say, I pity her math students. read more

If I could give them a zero i would of done it . I in SB every day in california and every where i travel . This is the worse ever !! The staff are rude , they talk to there friends while a client waiting ! Today they had a young girl with ling hair talking to group of guys about out side business while the line have few client waiting only one lady working hard its older than other . What make it worse her attitude once she decide to take next client in line ! I been in this location almost 7 times each time are worse than the one before ! Whats going on in SB ? This is likely the worst Starbucks I have ever went to (hereinafter "BadS"). On my daily commute to work I can always count on being aggravated by the poor service and attitudes that permeate this location. On a daily basis,I used to (I will never go to this location again), place the same exact order every day- a basic blonde roast coffee with eggs - seems simple right? Apparently not. In at least 2 of the 5 days a week that I would go BadS, I could count on something being forgotten or the order simply being wrong. To fix the situation I tried to order by walk in, drive through and mobile order (the worst outcome was with mobile - likely because the "barista" that handles the mobile orders is rude, and slow (in more ways than one) - the service obviously didn't get better. I spoke with management about the issues and was offered an apology and a $4 gift card (mind you, I spent more than $50 a week at BadS). The only reason that I would go to this location is because it is so close to work - but it's simply not worth it anymore - Dunkin, here I come. I wouldn't advise anyone to go toBadS unless you are have a particular attraction to aggravation and aloofness. read more

The seats at this particular location seems filled all the time. I've been here twice and even though there's only one or two baristas working, they generally get your order done within 5-10 minutes. This location isn't great because it's in a plaza which means limited parking spots. read more

This has to be the friendliest starbucks that I have ever been to. The man behind this niceness is named Ariel. Ariel literally just makes our days brighter with his hospitality. Whenever we order drinks, he literally brings it over to us even though simply needs to call out our names. He always asks questions like how is school and such whenever we stop by and study. Love Starbucks.. depending on who you get coffee can be amazing. Can get crowded in the morning like most coffee places.

Slow service, parking can be an issue, and customer service is a little lack-luster. I have to specify no foam or else 50-75% of my cup would be foam. Also, there is limited seating. read more

My overall opinion of the place is average. Not bad, not great. However I did realize that people who came in after me would get served before me. I'm sure it wasn't intentionally so my only suggestion is that the staff needs to be more organized with the order in which they tend to their customers. read more

Hi, this is my first review ever, I never thought to write it but this Starbucks location is getting out of hand, before they moved to their new location same problems were happening, they scam my drinks extremely often, I KNOW IT IS A BUSY LOCATIONA BUT THEN they should hire more people so they can concentrate on the drinks! I just ordered here after a long time and same problem! My latte doesn't even seem like it has any flavor or coffee and taste like boiled milk! It's RIDICULOUS!!!!! read more

I recently have been so dismayed by the Starbucks in New Brunswick that I have vowed not to return there. While this location is less convenient, I found myself driving over a half hour out if my way to come here. The service is great, as are the drinks. If you are in the area I suggest this Starbucks as opposed to the one in NB. read more

Love Starbucks but service is especially slow at this location. Granted it was Saturday morning, and of course, very busy. That's why I was baffled that there were two people at the register, one person unpacking syrup bottles and bags of coffee (I mean?), and just ONE person trying to keep up with the numerous drink orders. She was doing her best but at one point, she was about 10 drinks behind. Then the girl who was unpacking stuff comes to help make drinks and just randomly grabs cups (which were arranged by the time of order). Of course, my sad cup was left abandoned on the counter, and people who came after me were already leaving with their drinks. It would be fine if this was an isolated incident but it's actually pretty rare that I've had timely service at this Starbucks. read more
