I visit this Starbucks location several times each week. Over the past few months, I have had to ask that they "re-do" the grind on my whole bean coffee. Sadly, this is not an isolated experience. For whatever reason, they can't seem to get the course grind right (twice now in 3-weeks). While most baristas gladly honor my request to re-do, the Manager once acted as if I was making a false claim. I wished that Ramona had a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. Perhaps some healthy competition would help Ramona Starbucks step-up their performance. read more

I don't go to Starbucks often, but needed caffeine so pulled into the drive thru and ordered "grande hot green tea". Didn't think much about that order, seemed simple enough. Got to the window and was blown away it was $4 something for a tea. Drive off and took a sip only to find it was a green tea latte. I didn't even know that was a drink until I was rudely told if you order a "hot green tea, that means a green tea latte" and was also informed if I wanted a hot green tea with a tea bag and hot water it's some other long name I have never even heard of nor can remember at this moment. They switched my drink out, but didn't refund any difference in cost and was told the correct way to order next time. Little bit upset when I drove away for not standing up for myself and getting the difference in price. I have never had anyone at Starbucks treat me so rudely before. read more

I am so frustrated by this location of Starbucks, and Starbucks in general, that I am going to the competition. I have baristas hand me burnt food, then stand there when I hand it back because it's burned. I have baristas trying to hand me cups that are oozing liquids down the side. I had a barista tell me she was the supervisor, but they were short staffed, when she was unbelievably rude, and I asked for her supervisor. I report rudeness, but nothing changes. The last straw was my birthday reward. I took the blame for the wrong drink when the barista repeated my order, but I failed to read the board, and she had entered it wrong. I used my birthday reward, but it charged my card instead. It's not surprising Starbucks is closing locations when their customer service continues to plummet. I do want to commend the mature woman who has been there for several years, and a few of the young men. They serve with a smile, and respect the senior customers. Too many of the young women give the sighs of exasperation and eye rolls when you ask for napkins or stoppers. On to Dunkin Donuts and Packards for coffee treats! read more

This place is always super busy on my way to work, but who wouldnt expect that? I dont really drink coffee but their protein boxes are super convenient and I didnt even know they had them! The egg, fruit and cheese one was super filling and I definately recommend them it if you skipped breakfast on the way out of the house. This one star isn't for starbucks completely but for the girl who help my mom and I today in the drive thru. First of all she needs to pull the stick out of her a**, and second maybe when someone is saying thank you, you should probably smile and respond! Disappointed to say the least... Rode my bike to work and grabbed a grande skinny hazelnut macchiato on my way in. Because i was biking, I didn't even sip my coffee until I got to work. My grande cup was only half full! For $4.25, that's a little irritating! Plus, my caffeine level is lower than it should be. I'm sure work production will be lower than usual, and now my boss will be mad. But seriously that's unfortunate!! read more

It saddens me to not give a five star review to my local Starbucks. But they really don't listen here. My husband always orders "very light ice", yet he gets half a cup of ice each time. When ordering, I have to correct it at least once because I am not understood (or listened to IMO) by the person taking my order. Most of the staff are nice enough, but sometimes they are a little snotty when it's really busy (Saturday mornings for example). I don't liked to be rushed through my order, or payment. One time the lady was in such a rush she knocked over my drink and I almost wore it home. Slow down, relax and give a little better attention and service to people. It makes a difference. read more

Still the best Starbucks in town, IMO. But there's some things you need to know/consider before you all loose your minds: - This is a drive-thru Starbucks, the only one for over 14 miles. Let that sink in! There will be lines because just as many people are as lazy as you are for wanting their coffee, and fast. Deal with it. - Ramona has lots of retirees and elderly patrons. As such, this Starbucks is a notorious Old Man Starbucks. Expect lots of senior moments like shouting over music, backing into other people in the parking lot, complaining about the weather, complaining about the temperature inside, complaining about government, complaining about complaining. - The lobby is paved and tall. So it gets VERY LOUD. I bring headphones and I still hear conversations. Go outside on the ample patio if you need a break from unintentional eavesdropping. - Cops like Starbucks. They really do. - Transients like Starbucks more than cops. They have Wi-Fi, bathrooms, fresh water, and they're air conditioned. 1315 Main is also next to a highway. This is a perfect formula for harboring the homeless. Expect to see bums. Coincidently, the cops in Ramona could care less about transients using the sink in the bathroom for washing their hair and getting lit. - It rains in Ramona, I know, hard to believe. When it does, the patio is useless. So expect the above bullets to be amplified. - DON'T STOP ON MAIN IF YOU WANT TO GO IN THE DRIVE-THRU AND IT'S FULL. If it's loaded, go 100 feet up to the second pull in and just park. There's 30 spaces at this place and it's popular. You'll still fit. - They have cushioned seats, now a rarity for this chain. - They have The Google! Best Wi-Fi anywhere. 3DS handhelds don't like the sign-in though. :/ - Please knock on the restroom doors so that way you don't walk in on somebody wiping. I think Ramona was raised in a barn. Nobody up here knows common, good Samaritan courtesy! - They have a bike rack. - They have a horse rack! - Out of work cyclists like to shortcut through the lot, be careful you don't slam into them. - They're 5 am-10 pm, most nights. Their team is exceptional. They know regulars well, they know their beverages, there's great comradery between the Baristas. If the drink is not to your liking, politely speak to them and they will make it right. Don't be sassy. I love the morning crew, and that's honestly the best time to visit this place. If you wait until after 9 am, expect for parking to be limited, seats to filled, and lines. read more

I go here almost everyday and every-time I do the lady's there are super rude and disrespectful. They have no respect for anyone. I asked for a water and they literally filled it half way like wtf is that?. I used the restroom with a friend because we both had to go to the bathroom and a lady was in the other one cleaning it. As we walked out they said one person in the bathroom at a time. I gave them a dirty look and walked out because it's no different then a mother an child going in at the same time. I walked in there another time and they started laughing and talking shit then looked at me and i clearly know it was about me. The girls there are plain disrespectful and I don't appreciate it at all. They need to learn to be respectful to people or else they can leave and lose there job for all I care. They need to learn how to respect people how they want to be respected. read more

Honestly not a big fan of this place. It's always crowded and it's not unique - seen one Starbucks, seem 'em all. There is a Starbucks counter inside the Albertsons which is much faster. There's also a new Dunkin Donuts across the street that has delicious specialty coffee drinks and is much much more reasonable price wise. read more

This isn't the first time I have had a bad experience here. In the past, my drinks have been very bitter, I watched them make my drinks and I could see them letting the shots of espresso expire. But this particular time, I waited in the drive thru for over 5 minutes. The kids white hot chocolate I got was not at kids temperature (it was just as hot as my drink) and they put so much white mocha in it, it tasted disgusting. My niece wouldn't even drink it. Then I waited the longest for my drink and there was no whip cream on my white mocha. Which in my opinion is the best part! Yes, the staff is friendly, but my 3 drinks I ordered was not worth what I paid. I would rather go down the street to Starbucks in albertsons and get out of my car! This place is the newest addition to Ramona as far as coffee goes. It's strategically placed in the center of town. It looks gorgeous. The furniture inside is comfortable and there is outside seating when it's not totally freezing! The customer service is good and the coffee is good. What more can you ask for? read more

Must be hard to find good help. From burnt coffee to having your drink order read back to you, only to get a black coffee wrong. Or better yet getting banana nut bread instead of pumpkin bread, not one or twice, but there times. This is one of the best locations in San Diego, as most of the other reviews state as well! The best part, in my opinion, is the courteous staff. As I have gone often in the past, they remember me, and are always so friendly and fun when I get to the window, and even at the order menu when someone has recognized my voice! A great staff makes all the world to its customers, and whatever they have going on here to keep their employees happy, they need to keep up the amazing work! I went in today to get a drink and my 2 yr old was crying so I got him one of their squeeze punches and was immediately told by the girl ringing me up if I could hurry and shove it in his mouth because she can't stand kids or their crying only to go on telling me how she can't stand kids and will never have them etc.. I love coffee and just like every other Starbucks the coffee was very yummy. Two stars because when I went to get a breakfast sandwich I had a horrible experience with an employee that left me in tears. The sand which I got came out burnt and so hard I couldn't even bite the bread. I went to go tell them and ask for a refund or a different sand which and the lady behind the counter didn't believe me that the sand which was no good. After about 10 minutes of telling her I couldn't even bite into it she agreed to have someone make another one. As I waited in line about 15 people came and went as I waited and eventually I went up to ask when my sandwich was being made. The male employee then yelled at me loud enough to turn heads about my not picking up my sandwich that had apparently been on the counter with the name Robert on it! I will never be dining in at this Starbucks again. read more

I normally don't complain, because I understand stuff happens... However, I am finally fed up with this location. Ramona is my hometown and have been going to Starbucks since the day it opened to order my favorite drink... A venti iced Oprah chai with a scoop of matcha powder almost daily. The baristas always recognize me due to the fact that I am told I'm the only one who orders that specific drink. My drink is made properly about 2/3 of the time and I usually don't complain when it is not done properly even when I watch it get made incorrect as I'm sitting at the drive thru. I also don't complain when I sit in line for 10 minutes or pull up to the window and get ignored for 5 minutes while the employees stand around and chit chat with each other... With the window open. But today is different. My daughter and I sometimes go thru the drive thru and both order venti iced Oprah chai but I add a scoop of matcha to mine. Today that is what we did and her drink came out great and mine was a regular chai tea latte with the matcha. Finally having enough of not saying anything and paying my $5.45 for an incorrect drink I decided to go inside and get it corrected. I walked up to the counter where the orders come out and was completely ignored for about 5 minutes. I finally caught the attention of 1 of the 5 people working there and told them it was supposed to be an Oprah chai not a regular. She proceeded to check the sticker on the drink (labeled wrong as well) and made a new one. I watched her make it. What I got was another regular chai with only 4 ( pumps of chai) that was diluted with milk and not even filled to the top of the cup... Along with a week "sorry" and a dirty look as if I was inconveniencing her by asking politely to get it fixed. ...and milk dripping all down the sides of the cup. When I have to park( in the terribly inconvenient parking lot) to go inside to get it made properly and had to wait. I was polite as well, only wanting to get what I paid for and just not wanting to settle for the drink any more. I have had enough with all of it and will no longer be giving my almost daily business to my local Starbucks any longer. This is a big loss because not only do I go almost daily for myself, my teenage son and my husband go often as well and I will not stay quiet in my frustrations with this location any more.
