Did not want to look up my phone # for my rewards when my app was not working, so that was annoying. They used to give you a dozen free for your birthday, now you have to purchase 1 to get 3 free OG glazed donuts. At least they have a rewards program. Parking lot is horrible, too small, bad design, too many businesses in the strip mall to support with that little lot. Spaces are tight and people double park. The Krispy Kreme Apple Cider limited time donut got me to place an order for pick up. When I arrived at the location there was one person ahead of me but the rest of the store was empty. I told the employee I was there to pick up an order and showed him the notification from Krispy Kreme. He searched high and low, walked back and forth, asked the employee hosing down the equipment with water and still returned with nothing. He looked on the computer/register, asked for my name again and then disappeared. He finally came back and gave me a box marked "Richard" that had been sitting there the entire time. Once I got to my destination I opened the box to find only 11 donuts in the box. At least 3-4 looked like they got stuck moving down the belt and were all torn up. It's a good thing I had seen their ad on TV to know it was suppose to be an apple cider donut. I had to keep reminding myself that it was apple cider because it is nothing more than a glazed donut marketed in a new way. Thanks Krispy Kreme for reeducating me. Went here to get doughnuts for a coworkers birthday. I start work pretty early,but thankfully so do they, and i was able to grab some in my way in. I love that they have a drive thru. The woman who assisted me was very polite and fast, and they were not busy at the time i went, which was about 6am. i do think the prices are a bit high, and there are definitely cheaper places, but the doughnuts are fresh and taste delicious. It can be dangerous because they are so fluffy, and light, and easy to eat! They often have coupons or specials,so that does help. Every so often they will have specialty donuts, most recently they had Peanuts donuts. They usually cost a little extra, and some of them aren't always executed well, as they can be too sweet with all of the additions. However they are always fun to get, and i just try to get the ones that don't have weird fillings. My go to though is still the regular glazed, and when it comes to those, ive honestly not had a better tasting one. read more

Decided to give them a try. These donuts taste like they've been sitting on a 7-11 shelf for 3 months waiting to sell. The filling is so disgustingly artificial. While, on the way to work I decided to stop at Krispy Kreme donuts to use the restroom. After walking into the establishment I was greeted and in return asked where is the restroom and what is the code 7272. As I proceeded to the restroom and walked in, to my surprise it was filthy almost as no one cleaned it this morning or last night there was, pissed on the toilet and debris on the floor. As I was doing my business, someone continuously knocked on the door and tried to come in even after I said I'm in here. After finishing my business, I decided to get some coffee and a doughnut or two as I waited in line of the family of seven order in front of me. I patiently waited while there was two employees one that was servicing the family and other boxing orders, It seems after some time. A gentleman came in and went straight to the front with his phone in his hand. The lady boxing orders whose name started with a D said good morning and can I help you like she didn't see me she didn't realize I was waiting didn't realize I have somewhere to be shame. Customer service at is best I guess. As the gentleman got his order and left, the lady decided to help and asked me if I needed anything. Yes, I need three donuts and a coffee please as I got my order and coffee I was never asked if I wanted cream or sugar until after she brought it over to me and then went back to get the creamer for me. I opened my own cup and poured it in I mean, like what are we paying for here for me to work a little bit when I'm paying for service SHM. As I proceeded to exit, I was greeted, have a good day. Not sure what to rate the experience on, but you'll be the judge normally don't do these posts, but I had to do it because I was such unhappy, not going back to this establishment. I had the worst experience at this Krispy Kreme location. First of all, the person taking my order couldn't understand what I was saying and I had to repeat myself multiple times. She then repeated my order and I confirmed it was correct. She still ended up giving me the wrong donut and coffee. I asked her to fix my coffee and she took a used spoon straight out of the sink and stirred my coffee with it. I asked her if she used an unclean spoon and she lied and said she took a new one. usually pick up Krispy Kreme doughnuts for my company's events and place orders ahead of time. This time, I ordered 3 dozen to be ready at 6:15am. I showed up at 6:05am (just 10 minutes early) and the worker told me they hadn't even received my order yet and that I was too early. What didn't make sense to me is if they hadn't received the order, how would she know I was 10 minutes early? There was no line, it wasn't busy, and instead of just being upfront, she sent me inside the store after I was already in the drive-thru. Not even three minutes later, all the doughnuts were ready to go. I get that mornings can be hectic, but the part that rubbed me the wrong way was the unnecessary lie and the extra hassle when the order was clearly already being worked on. KK has always been one of my beloved donut shops since I've first bit into their original glazed and chocolate iced glazed donuts back in 2000. They have stood the test of time. My go-tos are the strawberry, cinnamon roll donut, classic glazed, chocolate iced glazed, and maple iced glazed. Wish they kept the Kit Kat, Twix, and Reese's donuts permanently on their menu bcuz they are my all-time faves. 3 count assorted ($7.39 + 30 cents up charge each for specialty donuts): these are exceptional, 10/10! My fave was the Reese's Salty Sweet Crunch, but the Reese's Salty Sweet Crisp and Outrageous were also delightful. Get it before they are gone, as the last day is 3/08/2023! The service here is always friendly. It's worth going inside to tickle your senses with the sugar aroma and the mid-1900s vibe. read more

There are only two Krispy Kreme locations in San Diego, and this is the more northern one. It's in an area with other businesses and restaurants. Parking is really easy. They have drive-thru. They still have the "hot doughnuts" sign whenever they have hot ones available. Two bathrooms are inside in the back. Since they've developed a mobile app, it's been much easier to handle loyalty rewards and online ordering. One improvement I hope they implement is to put iced coffee on the app. You have to order iced coffee in-store and it's an extra $1. At today's visit, I tried the pumpkin spice donuts - maple pecan, cheesecake swirl, and pumpkin spice cake. Maple pecan was wayyyy to sweet. I visited this location a couple weeks ago and was a little disappointed...they did not have a good selection of donuts...mostly all were the Halloween ones that I wasn't interested in. I ended up getting a dozen original glazed and they were cold and although they weren't stale...they didn't taste fresh. They were already boxed up and tasted like they had been sitting there allll day. I love when the donuts are fresh and even better when that hot light is on! It's been a long while since I've seen that though. They were very well staffed, and everyone was friendly. We were able to get in and out quickly which was awesome. I came to this location for a sweet treat. I've always had a love for Krispy Kreme ever since I was a kid. If you are looking for a quick pick-up, this location has it all. When you walk into the store, the atmosphere is filled with the smell of fresh doughnuts and coffee. The customer service here is also good. Staff are friendly and have recommendations on standby. There's also a drive thru that makes ordering easy instead of waiting in line. Although some days due to popularity, there is a limit supply of options but the doughnuts still are tasty.
