I've been coming here for years, and I feel like both the service and the quality of the latte have definitely improved over time. I was a little surprised reading other reviews mentioning they were greeted when they walked in because I've never really had that experience I haven't tried any of the food yet, but the latte has gotten noticeably better, which I appreciate. The location is also really nice, right next to the field, and there's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Overall, it has a cozy, easygoing vibe.

Found this place unexpectedly. Very cute barncore aesthetic on the inside and clean. A little limited on the coffee flavor options but the bean itself is good so I was not disappointed. The staff were nice and open to accommodations. Service was fast. I had the vanilla latte and breakfast sandwich. I wish they had some sauces like hot sauce or jams to compliment the food. I'll return again. Pet friendly :)

Good coffee place. The cinnamon roll was made by Bread & Cie, but it's not the same quality as in-bakery; different shape, too thick (aka doughy) and doesn't have enough flavor (needed much more frosting). The croissant sandwich with cheddar, bacon and egg was cold, which suggests they made the eggs a while befpre and didn't keep them warm. Lovely location, but hard to find if you don't know exactly where to turn in. Nice interior. The seats were full inside, so we sat outside. The person ordering partially put in the order wrong (forgot oat milk in the coffee and delivered the wrong waffle). The staff was nice and fixed the errors in the order.

We really enjoy this coffee house when we are passing through the area. The baristas are friendly and we love 5hat they do pour overs! The place is cute with seating inside and out. They have lots of goodies; we need to try one next time!

Great little local spot next to a park, lots of families hanging out on the weekends. A nice place to support local.

Busy coffee shop with decent coffee. Not sure it's anything special but probably popular because it's right next to the kids' soccer business. It was busy on a Saturday morning and parking was crazy. There are a few tables inside and more seating outside. There was a Bible study or something happening inside when I was there. I ordered a tea latte and an acai bowl. Both were meh.

The ambiance and decor is nicely thought out and the service was good. The vanilla Matcha Latte was pretty mid. It was very warm for being iced so the ice melted really quickly. It also reeked like horse poop right outside so it didn't make me want to linger around for very long. I'll maybe give it another chance since it's so close to my house.

I've been to every coffee shop in Poway. This one is now my top two. Plenty of parking and has seating inside and outside. There are monthly specials. I got the Oatmeal Cookie Latte. Had the right amount of sweetness and creaminess from the oat milk.

Sadly, there were no vegan muffins, croissants, scones, or rolls in the pastry case at about 10 am.

Heads up for vegans: There were no vegan pastries (even though it's on the menu). The June 2025 specials with banana sound tasty but a kind barista told me all banana drinks are made with half&half. Wish they could make a vegan banana option. I got the pineapple coconut matcha instead and it was yummy!

First impression review! Passed this place at first because I thought it was in the plaza behind it but it's really right where the soccer fields are. Very busy on a Saturday morning but service was quick. Tried something off their June monthly drink menu which was the Banana Cold Brew. This is the first time I've ever had a "real banana" taste in my coffee, I'm used to artificially flavored banana at other shops so it caught me off guard. Took a few sips for me to enjoy it but I eventually did and don't regret it. Good caffeine boost and interesting flavor. The vanilla drink needed a good stir for it to be delicious as well. Friendly service. Parking packed during a soccer game/practice

Hands down my new go-to coffee spot in Poway. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Decided to try their Chaga latte after learning about it from the team. Stuck with regular milk instead of almond though. It was slightly sweet, and no mushroom taste. Maybe a little earthy, at most, but definitely enjoyed it. I also ordered a breakfast bagel sandwich, on an everything bagel, which included eggs, bacon and cheese. Now, it's no gourmet dish, but perfect for a quick easy breakfast. The best part, everything was super affordable, and fairly priced! A large latte and breakfast sandwich for ~$11? Definitely unheard of nowadays. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and they offer WiFi. Definitely feels like a good ol' cafe, where you can sit and enjoy time with friends, or get to work with your laptop. I would absolutely recommend making a trip here, enjoy!

Ive brought friends here in the past and have always gotten positive feedback afterwards. Recently though, it feels like it's lost a little of its charm. The menu needs updating because with all the crossed out items on the board, it looks a little low end and like they're out of things. But they also always seem to be out of multiple items when I come these days. There's no food options any more most of the time, but the display cases remain. And seating... it feels like they got rid of 1-2 tables and the tables that were outside. There never seems to be enough seating so it's both cramped while also empty looking now. They have these side benches to sit on, but no one ever uses them because they're not super comfortable or good to chat with anyone with. Also, the bathroom. It's usually open, but twice now Ive been in there where there's zero toilet paper or the paper towel dispenser is out, but someone has just put a roll on top to tear at your own will. I loved this place so I hate saying more negative than good. The drinks remain amazing, but for a spot that is so popular, it's losing some of its own charm.

My baby girl has visited Compa Coffee Roasters (CCR) one time previously, she enjoyed it, and requested that we stop by. This was my first visit to this coffee spot and after just the very first sip of my iced Salted Maple Latte extra sweet, CCR will be seeing this Filipino giant again. Compa Coffee Roasters is located in Rancho Bernardo specifically off the 15 freeway and the Rancho Bernardo Road exit. If you're driving north, make a right after you exit and head east. If you're driving south, make a left after you exit and head east. The coffee joint can be found in The Mercado outdoor shopping center with its anchor store being Barons Market. Besides Barons, Kangnam KBBQ, Pho Cao Dao, Xuan Tailoring & Alterations, Pizza Hut, Fed Ex, and one of our fave boba drink places, Presotea all reside here. There is plenty of parking, but when we visited, it was busy, so you might have to park far. CCR was jam packed when we entered, so obviously I'm a little late to the party of knowing what an awesome coffee spot this is. It's got a really cool vibe with wooden sun art on their walls, flora throughout the space, and the focal point being the diligent baristas doing their thing. There are wooden tables, bench seating, bar top with no bar seating, and plenty of outdoor seating. From the gentleman at the register and the baristas, the staff were friendly and had a positive disposition. Their merchandise was really cool especially their logo tshirts that looked like an old school San Diego Padres logo. I remember when Compa Coffee Roasters had just opened in Rancho Bernardo and I had been meaning to visit, but never got around to checking it out. Blessed that it was my coffee aficionado baby girl who enticed me to go and she was spot on CCR being a good coffee spot. CCR opens at 7am and closes at 6pm. Besides coffee, the java joint serves sandwiches, afternoon eats, variety of food, bagels, toasts, beer, and wine. When I talked to friendly gentleman behind the register, I asked what he recommended for someone who enjoys sweet coffee. He provided several recommendations including their Salted Maple Latte, which is what my daughter had planned to order. I kindly asked for an iced Salted Maple Latte, requesting it to be sweeter, and looked forward to trying my first CCR coffee drink. It was delicious from the first sip to the last, so much so that I savored that drink for quite awhile, which is abnormal for me. That's how tasty it was. It was the perfect sweetness for me, my taste buds could distinguish the coffee, and it was really flavorful. If you're into sweet coffee drinks, I highly recommend CCR's iced Salted Maple Latte extra sweet. You're welcome!!! I'm thankful to God for being able to spend quality time with my baby girl treating her to some cup of Joes from Compa Coffee Roasters. I'm also blessed that our new go to coffee spot is just around the corner from our home.

I see they've revamped the walls upstairs and seem to have added more seatings too. I noticed they have a water dispensary area which is self serve. There's also a QR code for the menu, but I went ahead and searched the menu online and was helped by Tristan when all my friends have already placed their orders. He made sure to ask how I wanted my eggs done and if I wanted to add anything else. But also orders can be placed using the scanned QR if a server hasn't had a chance to check on your table. I ordered the avocado Benedict with hash. My friends ordered the chilaquiles and french toast, and a bunch others that I didn't get to take a pic of. However, I was able to try the chilaquiles, and the steak on that was so flavorful, the tortilla chips were nice and crispy, and the sauce in the bottom had a slight kick to it but with the mix of crema it helped balanced out perfectly. As for the cinnamon brioche french toast, that was one of the best French toast I've had in a while. Nice and crispy but still fluffy in the middle, with that nice cinnamon flavor, topped with whipped cream and berries. As for my order of the avocado Benedict. You can choose how you want your eggs cooked, and I had mine poached. Can def. Add other proteins to the dish with extra charge, but I wanted to keep it as is. The brioche bread was fluffy and buttery like too, it was great for absorbing some of that hollandaise sauce and yolk. My friends also ordered two bottles for mimosas. We had lychee and mango syrup/puree and it gave such a tropical and summer vibe. We also ended our meal with some desserts. We had the cream puff ube, cake choc brownie, and cheesecake caramel apple. My fav. Out of the three, was the cake choc brownie. I think I would be able to eat two of those if I wasn't full. Just loved how the chocolate mousse on the top melted in the mouth, but also that brownie isn't the typical brownie texture. It has a crisp to it. The mousse and crispiness just melts so deliciously together. I should've ordered another for takeout. Service was great despite it looking busy. Food didn't take too long to come out either. But we also did dine in at a decent time too. We had such a good time, especially for my friends who tried it out for the first time. I see they also have a dinner menu now. Maybe we'll come back to try that next time!

The cheeseburger was okay to eat, although the patty came out medium when I had asked for medium rare. The patty was still juicy and tender, which made it enjoyable enough. The fries were crispy, well seasoned, and definitely something I enjoyed. The cheese danish tasted good, but it had very little cheese. I expected more cream cheese filling, but it was mostly bread. The coffee bread was okay as well, just a little too dry for my liking. Their iced coffees were very good, and the Mexican mocha was delicious! I have no complaints about the coffee drinks at all. I do feel like communication with customers and overall customer service could be improved. It is a busy establishment, but the inside was nice and clean. The bathrooms were okay too.
