I've been coming here for years, and I feel like both the service and the quality of the latte have definitely improved over time. The croissant sandwich with cheddar, bacon and egg was cold, which suggests they made the eggs a while befpre and didn't keep them warm. Lovely location, but hard to find if you don't know exactly where to turn in. Nice interior. The seats were full inside, so we sat outside. I stopped here on my way home the other day. It's a really nice coffee shop with cool patio area. The barista was so nice and helpful. The ambiance and decor is nicely thought out and the service was good. The vanilla Matcha Latte was pretty mid. It was very warm for being iced so the ice melted really quickly. Very busy on a Saturday morning but service was quick. Tried something off their June monthly drink menu which was the Banana Cold Brew. This is the first time I've ever had a "real banana" taste in my coffee, I'm used to artificially flavored banana at other shops so it caught me off guard. Stuck with regular milk instead of almond though. It was slightly sweet, and no mushroom taste. Maybe a little earthy, at most, but definitely enjoyed it. I also ordered a breakfast bagel sandwich, on an everything bagel, which included eggs, bacon and cheese. Now, it's no gourmet dish, but perfect for a quick easy breakfast. The best part, everything was super affordable, and fairly priced! A large latte and breakfast sandwich for ~$11? Definitely unheard of nowadays. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and they offer WiFi. Definitely feels like a good ol' cafe, where you can sit and enjoy time with friends, or get to work with your laptop. This local spot is owned by Cory Withrow, former offensive lineman for the Bolts, and his wife. They've been deeply involved in the Poway community for many years, and it's such a hidden (kinda literally) gem. They're tucked into the building next to the sports fields. There is outside seating and some indoors. I found their staff to be genuine and friendly, the coffee to be tasty and the wifi decently fast. My drink of choice was executed well on all instances: A hot oat milk latte with one pump of vanilla syrup. What really impressed me though was the feeling of community inside. During recent visits I've noticed the building filled with 1:1 meetups and neighborhood pleasantries - folks whose kids go to school together or even groups of high school kids coming in together who the baristas seem to know by name. There is a lot of goodness inside this business, beyond the pastries and drinks. It can get busy, so there may be a line. The one I was in this morning moved fairly quickly. Discovered this cute coffee shop after hiking. Easy to miss their parking lot if you haven't been here before. The coffee shop itself has both indoor and an outdoor seating. The outdoor seating area was very nice-- go see for yourself! I ordered a vanilla hazelnut latte, it tasted pretty good; however, I wished I could taste the espresso a little more. I was super excited to try this place after seeing that it had so many good reviews. The location is really nice and has a beautiful view of the mountains. The outdoor seating area is also really cute. We came here on a Saturday morning and it was super super busy and baristas seemed very overwhelmed with the number of drink orders. I tried the lavender chai but I wasn't very impressed with how it tasted. It was super sweet and the chai flavor overpowered the lavender. I'm not sure if there was even lavender in my drink. My friend tried the matcha and it was also lacking in matcha flavoring. Drinks were overall very sweet and flavors didn't really come through. Not sure I'd try this place again. read more

My sister and I visited today and got a donut, açaí bowl, and an iced chai latte. The açaí bowl had fruit that tasted rotten unfortunately, which made my sister feel gross right before her rugby game. The iced chai needed more ice but that was fine. What was disappointing that the employees don't follow the current San Diego mask mandate because of their "#IndividualFreedom" written near the menu and explaining that employees do not have to wear masks. While staying in Poway for a couple of months, I came across this gem of a coffee spot. They offer seasonal drinks & good vibes. I'd describe the atmosphere as mellow, it truly is a perfect place to work or chill with friends. Do keep in mind that since it is near schools, there are hours where the place is completely OPPOSITE of mellow... so if you get easily disrupted by youth, steer clear when it's about the time they let schools out. The baristas are very friendly and helpful. SO PLEASE BE NICE TO THEM & CONSIDERATE -- only because I've witnessed some middle/high schoolers be completely ridiculous about their orders & making the sweet baristas remake whole drinks because they ordered something that they didn't even know what it meant *eye roll* & of course didn't like the flavor. Stopped here out of the blue on our way to a wedding and we already want to go back! We are here from Indiana and I can honestly say this was the BEST coffee either of us have ever had. And prices were good as well. I got the pumpkin latte with oat milk and it was SO yummy. My boyfriend got a dirty pumpkin chai latte with oat milk, and seriously best chai we've ever tasted!
