First time visit since moving to Ramona. This coffee shop is so cute and the worker was so nice. I got the Spiced Banana (hot) and it might be the best drink I've ever had. The inside patio area was very cute, it had some merch, books, and other items for sale. It also had a bucket for customers to take home some already used coffee grounds for gardening, chickens, etc. I will be coming back.

Coffee and service is amazing! Their Honey Grams atmosphere is cute and cozy, perfect for any age. Their Honey Grams Latte is my favorite!

Cutest little coffee shop with great service, delicious coffee and food! Their honey gram latte is one of my favorites.

Grateful for the oat milk alternative. The iced lattes are high quality, smooth and balanced in flavor. The team is warm and kind

Sebastian shared that their day starts at 3AM to start making the fresh bagels. (I was voting at around 11ish.) Despite their long day, they were very welcoming. I got my order of bagels and was thankful that Sebastian recommended that I pick up some home made cream cheese. I picked up a blueberry and a bacon tub. After trying both, my wife made me go back and pick up a jalapeno cream cheese. All three were fantastic. The bagels, cream cheese, and the hospitality is what stood out for me. While I wish I could frequently visit this place to become a "regular customer", Napa is a little too far away. I do recommend people in the area to give this place a visit if you're looking for a bagel. It is definitely a go to spot. I did spy them making a sandwich and they also looked delicious. I will definitely be back when/if I'm in the area.

The bagel was fresh with the perfect texture, and the lox tasted high quality and flavorful. It all came together really well. What stood out the most was the service. I'll definitely be coming back and would recommend this spot to anyone in the Escondido area looking for a solid bagel and coffee.

Don't expect them to lose money making bagels to keep them sitting in stock for the random afternoon one person may show up. These are freshly baked! They are best freshly eaten! I have to always tear into one as soon as I get them. Where else can I devour an entire everything bagel with no spread! They are that delicious! No butter necessary. Just full of flavor! Don't pay any attention to the low star ratings. Absolute self-centered rubbish. The employees work so hard making these bagels early every morning! Just be a good bagel and get there early (before 9:30) and enjoy! They also make a darn good caramel macchiato.

So instead of going to McD's, I decided on bagels. I'm so glad that I did, even on a Saturday morning there was a steady flow of customers so there was a line to order. We order: an Everything and an Asiago cheddar bagel both with cream cheese and a house coffee and a Carmel macchiato. The bagels are cooked right front of you: fresh, OMG soft, and tasty!!! We ate the majority of our food before taking a pic. Their house coffee is from Seattle Best but the selection of flavors were just okay. And my wife said her Carmel macchiato was okay, but she rarely gives a review on her food / drink. There are other food items on the menu board so we'll need to return to try those next time in town. Just be aware that if you order a bagel, $2.75 then add cream cheese the price jumps to $5.25.

[TL;DR: Served inedible food I did not eat, charged in full, zero attempt to make it right.]…read more I very rarely leave negative reviews and don't nitpick or blast places over small issues - and you can check my other reviews to verify that. I had heard great things about this place, which makes it even more disappointing. The only positive was the quaint country ambiance, including a nice old mural on the wall. Service was a bit slow, but it was a busy Sunday morning, so that's understandable and not part of my rating. The food, however, was inedible. I should note here that I came in quite hungry and with a specific hankering for a greasy chicken fried steak and eggs, so I was in a very easy to please state. I ordered the eggs "over medium," and the eggs came out with raw, runny whites and were also cold. The toast didn't arrive until 5-10 minutes later, so everything just sat there getting colder. The "steak" was mostly fat and gristle. The first couple of bites I ate were gristly but doable with help from the gravy - but the third bite was a giant glob of gristly fat that I couldn't even chew - i spit it out and that's all I ate. The hash browns tasted like frozen unseasoned potatoes with only a patch of sear on the outside while the bulk of it was mushy and pasty and gross. Of the whole meal I basically only ate my toast plus a bite or two of each thing on my plate. I left feeling sick to my stomach. After dropping off the food (and later the delayed toast), our server never checked back. No refills, no follow-up. When she finally returned, she asked to clear my very full, barely touched plate without any acknowledgment. I had to volunteer that the food was inedible. The response was dismissive and rushed, with no effort to understand the issue or make it right. An offhand "sorry about that" was offered while walking away, followed shortly by the $60 bill. The complete lack of accountability and concern was frankly abhorrent. This was one of the worst dining experiences I've had, and I won't be back. I would have left hungry except that I was queasy from the gristle and paste.

Im originally from…read morethe East Coast so when I fired up my Yelp app and saw that Brueggers was right in the area close to where I was getting my fasting labs, I made a beeline to get over here! I am a breakfast person and to have me fast for over 12 hours and not have breakfast is challenging. I also had a 7am meeting and there was no coffee going into my brain or any breakfast in my tummy. So right after getting my labs, I was here around 9:15am. They have quite an assortment of bagels here and they also have some day olds for sell too. I like pumpernickel bagels and got a schmear with veggie cream cheese. The bagel was ok but I think I like a more intense flavor and this wasnt it for me. The cream cheese was a bit too overpowering for me also. Next time, Ill have an everything with butter. That's usually my go to bagel choice. I also bought some day olds and froze them when I came home so I could enjoy them later. Not bad I guess for 8 bagels for $4.99. I also had a large hazelnut coffee which was $3.99 and it comes with a refill. Coffee worked for me! I sat outside at one of their many communal tables and enjoyed my breakfast. Id return here again and I saw they have an option of bialys too, those are my favorite!

I think my family and I might have found our go to coffee shop. My vacationing daughter requested…read morethat I treat her to a morning cup of joe, which made me do a double take because she should be treating her old man, but as many parents can attest, our kiddos will always be our babies, so of course I acquiesced. My baby girl has visited Compa Coffee Roasters (CCR) one time previously, she enjoyed it, and requested that we stop by. This was my first visit to this coffee spot and after just the very first sip of my iced Salted Maple Latte extra sweet, CCR will be seeing this Filipino giant again. Compa Coffee Roasters is located in Rancho Bernardo specifically off the 15 freeway and the Rancho Bernardo Road exit. If you're driving north, make a right after you exit and head east. If you're driving south, make a left after you exit and head east. The coffee joint can be found in The Mercado outdoor shopping center with its anchor store being Barons Market. Besides Barons, Kangnam KBBQ, Pho Cao Dao, Xuan Tailoring & Alterations, Pizza Hut, Fed Ex, and one of our fave boba drink places, Presotea all reside here. There is plenty of parking, but when we visited, it was busy, so you might have to park far. CCR was jam packed when we entered, so obviously I'm a little late to the party of knowing what an awesome coffee spot this is. It's got a really cool vibe with wooden sun art on their walls, flora throughout the space, and the focal point being the diligent baristas doing their thing. There are wooden tables, bench seating, bar top with no bar seating, and plenty of outdoor seating. From the gentleman at the register and the baristas, the staff were friendly and had a positive disposition. Their merchandise was really cool especially their logo tshirts that looked like an old school San Diego Padres logo. I remember when Compa Coffee Roasters had just opened in Rancho Bernardo and I had been meaning to visit, but never got around to checking it out. Blessed that it was my coffee aficionado baby girl who enticed me to go and she was spot on CCR being a good coffee spot. CCR opens at 7am and closes at 6pm. Besides coffee, the java joint serves sandwiches, afternoon eats, variety of food, bagels, toasts, beer, and wine. When I talked to friendly gentleman behind the register, I asked what he recommended for someone who enjoys sweet coffee. He provided several recommendations including their Salted Maple Latte, which is what my daughter had planned to order. I kindly asked for an iced Salted Maple Latte, requesting it to be sweeter, and looked forward to trying my first CCR coffee drink. It was delicious from the first sip to the last, so much so that I savored that drink for quite awhile, which is abnormal for me. That's how tasty it was. It was the perfect sweetness for me, my taste buds could distinguish the coffee, and it was really flavorful. If you're into sweet coffee drinks, I highly recommend CCR's iced Salted Maple Latte extra sweet. You're welcome!!! I'm thankful to God for being able to spend quality time with my baby girl treating her to some cup of Joes from Compa Coffee Roasters. I'm also blessed that our new go to coffee spot is just around the corner from our home.
