This Starbucks is VERY clean. The staff was very friendly and greeted us when we came in. There was a line when we entered and it was semi busy but it wasn't a long wait and the drinks came out fast.We ordered 9 different drinks and they got all of them correct. 7 of the drinks were custom. Purchased my morning latte here two days in a row. The first day they gave me the wrong latte, and I couldn't drink it due to the nut syrup. The next day I mentioned the issue I had the day prior to the girl at the window and she (abrasively) assured me it was the latte I ordered. I go here everyday for a cup of white mocha. The service is reasonable. Usually they are very busy (they're the only one nearby with a drive thru). The people who work here are always friendly and professional. It's very clean and when they're slow it's because they are overloaded with orders (like I said they're the only drive thru in that area). Most days the coffee is super good. No good experience for me here unfortunately. The cafe is noisy even with not many customers in there (about a quarter of the seats were taken and nobody queuing for ordering). Even In this situation service was really slow and did not manage to get all ordered items out at the same time. Had to wait for about five minutes for the sandwich and about ten for the drinks. The restrooms have really nice changing stations in both women's and men's bathrooms. They even had the disposable pads to use at the station in stock. Don't that see that anymore. And as always- great coffee!! read more

If there were a zero star option, that is what I would leave. Bad management is key here. When approaching the register I counted 4 flies inside the food cabinet and several more flying around inside the store. The food inside the cabinet also had not been changed out, you could tell by a quick glance that it was old. I'm pretty sure the food was just display, but I have never seen something so unappetizing, plus the flies made me not want to eat at all! The glass top of the food cabinet was covered in dust, enough to know they had not wiped it down in at least a week. There was a mop leaning against the side of the dusty cabinet. So, a few flies and dust aren't a huge deal, but that is what the customer can see! What about the things that we do not see??? Gross and disgusting, as well as unsanitary! I wouldn't feed my dog from here! Now, how to I call the health department in Rapid City, because this place should be shut down! Truly unbelievable! read more

I like Starbucks. You always know what you're going to get. Or so I thought. How hard can it be? I mean, it's a corporate store, everything is pre-measured, automated, the machine does all the work, takes the guesswork out of the equation. All the barista has to do is steam some milk and pour the syrup to the line in the cup. The espresso machine does the rest. Oh, and LISTEN to the customer. Listening is where they have gone wrong. Maybe it's because the speaker faces the freeway and they can't hear? This is the only Starbucks I've been to in my life that manages to mess up my drink almost every single time. I am easy. I ask for a 12oz double latte, with caramel SAUCE. I don't like syrup flavor. But somehow it's messed up every time. After about the 10th time, I called the manager. I like to help businesses by offering constructive criticism. The only reason this didn't get a lower review is the last two times they got it right, after 10 or 15 times getting it wrong. Maybe my call helped? I understand when you're a high-volume corporate store, with likely high employee turnover, it can be difficult. Anyway, glad the last few times were better experiences. Hopefully it continues. Meanwhile, I have been really in to trying out the smaller mom and pop locally owned stores. It has been a really great thing. read more

It was a dark stormy morning. I arrived at Starbucks at 5:25. There was lightning in a background, and it was raining. I went up to the door to see what time they opened. The door read 5:30 A.M. Both workers looked up at me through the glass doors. I waved my hand at them, thinking they would open the door for me considering the weather. But no, they turned back to their work. It's really disappointing to me wen you go to and plan to and specify that you are willing to pay for a specific drink -- tell the register person exactly what you want -- pay full price for it and then get the barista complaining that what you asked for COST MORE MONEY when they agree that what you asked for is what they understood you wanted in the first place -- at 6A on a Sunday (a work day for me) I prefer not to have a disagreement / argument -- SO I walk out of the store with something I did not want BUT I PAID FULL PRICE for it!!!!!
