10/10 this Starbucks really changed! New management, new staff, and upgraded to a Starbucks Reserve. This is my favorite Starbucks in the world! Hands down the best customer service. The food is always hot, and they take my special requests like "burning my egg bites please". They deal with my complicated Starbucks order every time and they never fail to nail it right on head. My order is a bit complex. I get "5 shots of espresso, in an ice venti cup, LIGHT ICE, extra vanilla sweet cold foam and cinnamon". It has to be this tan complexion that naturally blends into the white cold foam. Like in the photo. They redid the whole place, brand new with wood tiles and leather couches. It's 100% totally different than a normal Starbucks. If you're ever in the area this is highly suggested by me to stop by and grab a coffee or a treat. read more

They have food treats for dogs. That's always a good thing in my book. Not sure how to take this, one of the baristas asked if my dog was a service dog! I should had said Wow! How did you know? Gorgeously decorated store. They have setup two separate lines for in store order and online pick up. One of the sitting corner is open for public. They also have few outdoor seating booth. Unfortunately, the Chocolate chip Frappuccino was so watery. Don't remember when was the last time I had such bad drink from Starbucks. Worse Starbucks ever! They mess up all drinks no matter what it is. It's a bunch of unsupervised teenagers running the place. This place is not Starbucks and corporate should get involved. The service is just awful due to the poor training. Ambiance is loud and rowdy at times. read more

This particular location is Starbucks' first and currently only Reserve Bar in New Jersey. As such, it is much nicer than your average Starbucks. They offer their reserve blends, with multiple different methods of brewing. The most interesting method they have in their arsenal is the scientific looking siphon brew, which costs an exorbitant amount for a small cup of coffee. They have plenty of seating inside and out. The reserve bar is on the right of the main counter, and a master barista works there, explaining the subtleties of their different coffees. It's nice that they offer nitro cold brew and ice cream, but their price mark ups are extremely high. It's nice that they serve their drinks in glass containers if you stay and fancy reusable plastic ones when you take it to go. read more

Not all Starbucks are the same. I stopped in to get my favorite drink at the Closter location and was quite disappointed. Starbucks recipe calls for one shot of espresso regardless of the size you are buying which makes no sense, so I pay for an extra shot and when I get it, it looks like milk. I tell the girl that and she got the nerve to tell me that when you add extra coffee it turns white! What! Say that again what! She obviously doesn't know that I buy one of these at least 2-3 per week. Perhaps she needs to get another job or some common sense. Either way I took my milk shake and went about my business because there was no point in discussing it with her any further. I just won't go back to that location ever again! read more

My experience here was a little weird. I ordered three drinks for my boyfriend to pick up. Unfortunately, all three were incorrect. Either missing flavor syrup or the milk of choice was incorrect. I called the store and the Supervisor on duty helped me. She asked me to come back into the store so they can refund my order as well as making it right. I told her I wouldn't be able to make it so she took note for the next Supervisor. We came in the next day, however, I think the Supervisor got a bit confused because he ended up refunding the whole order, but then charged us again for the two drinks we wanted. read more

This location is perfect and has plenty of seating. Kinda of crowded, expect a busy line during the middle of the day and for good reason. Good quality coffee, great quality service. The people here are friendly and make this location my favorite Starbucks. read more

I just wanted to give a big shoutout to Michelle!! I was looking at the pour over coffee maker for my mom... Michelle took the time to explain how it's used, was empathetic on how it can be tricky to use for an elder and that the stand was a good idea, and bc it was it last one w/ scratches, was able to give me a discount. Then proceeded to nicely wrap the set (bc it's a gift for mom.) If only we were all this kind, caring and helpful... the world would be a better place thanks, Michelle! I use mobile order for convenience, but it's like I have to chose between convenience or quantity. When I order at the store and am standing there watching them make the drinks they get it right but when I pick up a mobile order it's always half @ss made. Why bother putting a rounded top cover if you're not going to fill it to the top with whipped cream????????? Where's the whipped cream?? Where is it??? Not in my drinks, that's for sure!!! read more

For honesty's sake, I'll start off by saying I came to this Starbucks because my good friend had a hard plastic cup from here, and I really wanted my own. I've been to Starbucks Reserve in the city (Vesey Place), and that was a cool experience. I wasn't expecting much from this location...besides that cup. Boy was I wrong! First of all, this location is so aesthetically pleasing. I love the layout with the indoor and outdoor seating; I also love how half of it is a Reserve, and the other half is a normal Starbucks. My friend and I got drinks from the Reserve side, and our barista, Michelle, was so helpful and patient! Right off the bat, she didn't think I was weird for wanting that cool cup and explained which drinks would come in it. She also told us the espresso machine would be up and running in about 10 minutes, so she would take our orders when it was ready. The menu is extensive and very adventurous. I had no idea where to even begin because I wanted to try everything. I ended up getting the Cold brew malt which is cold brew, vanilla ice cream and chocolate bitters blended into a thick milkshake. It was AMAZING, and I wish I could drink that every day, but calories :( wahhh. My friend got a cafe latte, and he said Michelle made it really well. I love that they have a hazelnut praline infused milk in the Hazelnut Bianco Latte, which is my next drink to try. I'm also glad that you can use rewards here because some of the drinks are pricey! Didn't accommodate Dietary restrictions, had to remake drink three times. Quite disappointed

While I'm well aware that this Starbucks has a Reserve bar, this place is nothing special. It has some nice decor and I suppose the Reserve bar is supposed to make it seem higher class, but the drinks are the same. Plus, the only special thing about the Reserve bars for a casual coffee drinker like me is that they have their own separate barista making the drinks. I went here on a weekend and there was only one Reserve barista working while there were two or three working the regular Starbucks counter, so the Reserve drink someone in my party ordered took especially long. But she got a special hard plastic cup that said "Reserve" on it, so maybe that's another thing Reserve drinkers look forward to. read more

So I was craving a drink this morning, and what better place is there than Starbucks? I went to the nearby Starbucks, and ordered a Mango Dragonfruit with Coconut Milk. (It was around $5). My order comes out, and lo and behold there is my drink. But Im looking at it, and I tell myself, I certainly do not remember ordering a cup of ice with some fruit thrown in there. It took my two sips to finish my drink. Thats $2.50 a sip! As you can tell from the picture, I clearly ordered a Mango Dragonfruit with Coconut Milk. If I wanted a cup of ice, I wouldve just stayed home. Starbucks should be thanking me for my generous 5 dollar donation. read more

The concept of the reserve bar is pretty cool it is a little confusing though not sure how it works when ordering because you might think to sit at the bar to do a flight and order there vs at the register. A nice new gimmick that Starbucks is trying. They got a few different reserve blends, some different edition drinks, and nicer lounge area, all adds up to more money for the same old Starbucks. There is better coffee out there, they do have nitro here which is nice (more locations I am sure will have it soon enough). They do have a reserve bar, where they have a cool method of brewing using a machine called a siphon brewer, looks cool, did not try it so I don't know how it tastes, probably going to just buy myself one instead of paying an arm and a leg for one cup. read more

The new Starbucks with new coffee and new place in Closter. Here is more seating than before and the baristas are friendly. The reserve bar serves some unique things I haven't found at any other coffee shop and it's worth stopping in to try if you're in the neighborhood. It is definitely a step up from any other Starbucks. This is probably by far one of the best Starbucks I've been to. The environment is great, their customer service is great, and the cleanliness of the place is great! BUT time flies by and I'm not sure if they started hiring new employees or their standard just went down. It's not as clean anymore and it seems like the employees just don't care about cleaning. Stopped by after a retreat. First and only starbucks reserve bar i've been to. Facility was clean and retained a very professional look. I definitely felt this branding drawing in a more upper class audience. I had the nitro cold brew and a cake pop. The cake pop is the same as any other starbucks, however the nitro cold brew which is only offered at reserve bar locations. Apparantly this location was new and looked like a good location as it was extremely busy at the bar and at the tables. Nitro Cold Brew; Comes in a beautiful cup, capped and cupped with fancy designs. It seems to be out of tap with a bit of foam on top which O assume is necessary to the whole deluxe. It was smooth like guiness, but definitely not the most bitter which I had presumed. Either way I really enjoyed it, but don't think i'll be dropping 6$ per order. read more

Fancy Starbucks in the new Closter Mall. It's a Reserve Bar so it's much bigger and looks more upscale than other Starbucks. Using mobile order then sitting to enjoy your drink is pretty neat. There is a variety of seating options, tables, couches, bar stool, etc. Bonus, there's also some outdoor seating. Didn't try the Reserve Bar coffee drinks yet...but will be coming back! PROS: One of my favorite Starbucks around. It's unique set up makes it stand out from any other Starbucks in the areaEvery time i ride past that place it's packed, meaning that people really enjoy it. There's a lot to choose from and it has a nice staff. Situated in a newly built location and with great parking makes it very convenient and relaxing. CONS: The place is never clean! Tables and chairs have spilt coffee on it and garbage like straw wrappers and empty cups. There's hardly any place to sit and their prices are to high for the quality that they serve at. OVERALL: Not your typical Starbucks. The staff is nice, the atmosphere is cool, and it has plenty of parking. Prices are high when considering the quality of the beverages and food isn't that great. Very dirty and no place to sit sometimes, but it can be a nice place to get some work done if you can find a seat. read more

One of the bigger and fancier Starbucks out there and that's about the only good thing I can say about this location, therefore, the two stars. On the two visits I've been here, the barista NEVER called out my name once my drink was ready. On both occasions, everyone's but my name was called including those who came after me. On both occasions, I found my drink just sitting on the counter after noticing those who came after me got their drinks. Whats with that and what's the point of asking MY name when they're not going to call it out? They seem to have no problem calling out other people's name but mine. It's not like my name is hard to pronounce. Maybe that's it - it's too easy to pronounce so the barista is hesitant to call out my name and drink. read more

I give this Starbucks 5 stars for the quality of drinks, reserve bar and atmosphere. Unfortunately the service gets 1 star and needs a lot of work (other than the girl at the reserve bar who is excellent). This is my local Starbucks and I have been there 5-10 times over the past few weeks and the service remains inconsistent and most of the cashiers have no idea what they are doing. There have been times I have waited in long lines to find out my drink is sold out (if items are sold out put something up to tell people on the long line). Today I was one of the only customers there early in the morning and I watched multiple people walk out with drinks while I waited. When I asked about my drink I was told "There is a delay with yours". After a few more minutes the girl at the reserve bar came over and helped me. They never called my name, put my drink on the shelf for mobile orders and didn't even know it was there. I really like the reserve bar, I just hope they get their act together in all other areas. read more
