Temper your expectations whenever you stop by Starbucks. It's a high-volume chain, so speed is often the priority, and occasional mistakes with your order are almost inevitable. I've had two very different experiences at this Rosslyn location. On one visit, two of my three drinks were incorrect. I ordered two regular lattes and a caramel macchiato, but ended up with a chai latte, a vanilla latte, and only the caramel macchiato was made correctly. To make matters worse, the staff seemed pretty indifferent, with very little interaction or acknowledgment of customers. Thankfully, my most recent visit was a complete turnaround. All three drinks were made correctly, and the employees were noticeably friendlier and more engaging. It's nice to see that service here can be much better than my first experience. The café itself is on the small side. There are only a handful of tables, and it can feel cramped once a few people are waiting for drinks. They also seem to keep the temperature pretty cold inside, so it's not the coziest place to linger. On the plus side, there's an outdoor patio that's much more comfortable when the weather cooperates. Overall, this location seems a bit inconsistent. If you're just grabbing coffee on the go, it'll probably do the job, but don't be surprised if your experience varies from one visit to the next. read more

He knows my name by now, always greets me with a cheerful attitude, and brings such a positive vibe to my mornings. Netsanet yelled at me for having my dog. I understand there was a policy change so dogs are no longer allowed in the store, but she didn't have to yell. The manager was also rude. For what you pay for, you don't get a lot of the drink (even if you ask for less ice). Not much table space here. The interior might have like three small round tables. Every time try to come here to give them a benefit of doubt THEY DISAPPOINT. I requested a tall strawberry matcha with extra foam, you think I received that, NO. What they did was upgraded my tall to a grande and said they gave me more. All they did was increase the amount of coconut milk and ice. The creamy foam was lose and it was not extra. This is the closest full-service Starbucks to us. I've always had a good experience here. It is definitely very busy with a long wait in the morning, but that is due to the morning rush. I've even had an instance where my husband ordered a breakfast sandwich for me to pick up, but I was unable to pick it up in time before work, and they made a new sandwich for me in the afternoon when I had a chance to pick it up. The service is always friendly and the employees are always working very hard. I've never had to order get messed up, despite the morning rush. Overall this is a great Starbucks! read more

They recommend ordering through their app for pick-up, but the register is open if you want to walk in masked and keeping a safe distance. They have the entire Starbucks drink and food menus and the staff are kind. If you want a lower calorie tasty drink, I recommend the Honey Oatmilk Flat White. read more

This is my first negative review in yelp. I appreciate customer services but am really surprised that when you order a trenta size drink 30 fl oz, you got 2/3 of the drink and refused to fill it up? This is my go to Starbucks on the way to work. You can zip into the parking lot on your way through the city and then swerve right back onto the main rode from their convenient little parking lot. I almost exclusively come by at like 6-6:30pm before my shift starts. I order on the app as I'm getting in the car at my apartment, and I am able to grab my drink without missing a beat on my drive to work. This helps immensely as I have to deal with evening key bridge traffic every single night! I have to give the staff endless kudos and thanks for being so efficient and understanding. Sometimes they will be closing at 7pm and my order very annoyingly is placed at the stroke of 6:30pm. When I arrive, sometimes within 15 minutes of closing, my drink is ready and they are smiling. I've never gotten as much as a stink eye for being that right before the bell orderer. They are always very kind as I run in grab my drink and run out. Maybe someday I won't be running late and I can more adequately thank the baristas for being so reliable and kind! See you soon probably! read more

Rarely do I write a review on franchise business' and even more rare for a Starbucks. What makes this Starbucks the exception is the location and the deck. On a nice sunny day, enjoy the quietness of this location tucked away between Wilson and Clarendon in the Rosslyn neighborhood of Arlington. It's just across the street from the Marriott Residence Inn and just a few steps from the Rosslyn Metro. It has the usual Starbucks fare but the added benefit of being able to sit outside on a quiet deck and enjoy your coffee and cruise the net on your lap top with their free Wi-Fi. It's a great meet up spot if you live in Va or DC because of the access to the Orange/Blue line conversion and Georgetown is just across the river. They have a few parking spots in their private lot but ample free street parking near by. read more

This is my favorite Starbucks location in Rosslyn. It's definitely on the smaller side with limited seating, but there is plenty of outside seating to compensate for it! Service is pretty quick and one of the main reason why I love this location so much is that the baristas give out mini samples of their new drinks to folks that have been seated. :) keep up the good work! read more

I usually like to stick to supporting small businesses when it comes to cafes but this is the closest one to my office, making it extra convenient. I am a frequent visitor here but have had issues with them putting milk in my drinks when I request almond milk. Just make sure to double check, or tell them twice if you have an allergy, or else you could end up sick. If there was another place that made matcha lattes near by then I would switch, but sadly this is the only option. Still the staff is happy and personable, just very slow. read more

I live in DC, and sometimes driving back home, I want to stop into a Starbucks that actually has a place to park, instead of me driving around the Rosslyn area trying to find street parking. They have a small parking lot that can probably fit about 8 cars. I haven't had an issue finding a space as there are usually people coming in and out. Love you Starbucks! nothing to rave home about here. This is your typical Starbucks with all the bells and whistles. They are quick with the orders and super nice here. Coffees, Fraps and hot cocoa made to your liking. The only downside is that they always run out of pastries, ugh..., at least the ones I want. And it's super small compared to the few other Starbucks I've been too. So it get crowded really quickly, especially in the morning with barely enough room to stand and wait for your order. Annoyed looks and attitude was given. They kept talking to each other and would ask us to repeat our order instead of just listening and getting it right the first time. I've had some really good experiences from this Starbucks. I've also gotten baristas who really had no idea what they were doing. If you are lucky, you can get a parking spot here (there are maybe six.) The actual store is a little funky-a narrow ramp separates the sitting area/coffee station from the baristas and coffee beans/mugs for sale. There is outside seating as JayJoe mentions. It's above street level so you won't directly see everyone walking by. Thankfully this Starbucks is in between Courthouse and Rosslyn metros (and their Starbucks stores of course.) read more

If there's one good thing about this location, is they have a decent AC system. But their employees that make the drinks need to be retrained or they need to close this shop. I've gotten coffee here a few times and it's never consistent. One time I got a green tea latte that was literally milk and the cold tea they have brewed. The line was too long to go back and complain and I took a sip and threw away a $5 drink. This morning was the straw that broke the camel's back as I went in and saw the line was about 15 customers long and one barista looking clueless in how to make the drinks or catch up with the demand. Fortunately, they were kind enough to give me a one free coffee card that didn't even cover the money they pretty much stole from me. They also provided great entertainment in the form of watching everyone else who ordered after me promptly get their coffee.
