Understaffed, high staff turnover, and mysterious early store closures make the Flemington location a big loser in the Starbucks network!

I'm not in Flemington all that much, but whenever I'm entering town on Rt. 202 and remember this Starbucks, I usually wind up stopping by for a coffee. Overall, this is a great branch. There's lots of parking if you wanna sit down inside or if you are doing a mobile order pick up. There's also tons of room inside to hang out and enjoy your drinks which is a big plus. The drive thru is usually very efficient if I'm in a rush. The staff is great. They're friendly and fast and of course they make great drinks. Four stars, really great location. You really can't beat it. read more

This is my first time at this spot. However, they were out of almost everything. It is 3:45pm on a Sunday. No pink drink, no freeze dried berries, and out of many pastries. I had to get very berry hibiscus with no berries so it was colorless. It did taste the same though. I would recommend this location get more product availability due to its high volume of customers. 3 1/2 stars This is a new Starbucks location with a drivethru in a new strip mall. The building is large which I assume is huge inside. We went thru the drive thru and they got our order perfectly correct. The staff was really nice. The drivethru was really slow but perhaps the staff is new? It didn't matter to us and luckily there was no one behind us. If I am in the area I would definitely go back. read more

I stopped into this location on Friday 1/13 around 10am Not many customers in the store, nor in the drive-thru lane, but the four staff members in the front were clearly very busy (probably mobile orders). There was a staff person who was leaving, coat in hand. She looked around and realized there was no one there to take my order. She came up to the register, big smile and asked if she could take my order. I said to her, "looks like you just got off your shift", she replied, Yes but I am happy to assist! WOW, like super WOW! It was such a delight to have a young woman go out of her way to help her store and a customer. One doesn't find that kind of helpfulness often anymore. GREAT EXPERIENCE! read more

The people that work here try but it is the worst Starbucks I've ever seen. The drive thru is dangerous and not designed well. I prefer to go into the actual store and then you are second to the drive thru AND the mobile orders!!! It just takes too long. The set up of this store is very odd. I don't think a lot of thought went into it. The drive through rolls right into the bank parking lot Outdoor seating area is next to drive though so you can enjoy you latte with a bit of car exhaust. Service is ok but they don't go out of their way here to make you feel welcome. It's a high volume store do they don't have to. I much prefer Branchburg and Whitehouse Station starbucks as far as service and atmosphere. Today I ordered an iced cappuccino via my app at 2:33. I arrived at the store about 6 minutes later. Kid you not I did not get it until after 3pm. So much for ordering ahead! It was very busy, but I was not even acknowledged as I sat waiting for my drink. That was the disappointing part. Just a "I'm sorry we've been swamped but you will be soon". Would make a difference read more

The most unorganized Starbucks I have ever been too. Every time I come here I say I'm never coming back because it's the same issue over and over. The system they have sucks, they are all slobs with stiff all over the place. You order and it takes literally 15 minutes for barista to get sticker. Management clearly is bot up on their game and it's sad as it's only Starbucks in flemington but holy shit get ur shit together!! read more

Slowest Starbucks I have ever been to before. It used to be good but has gotten worse lately. I waited in the drive through line for 20min and I wasn't even at the window yet to order. I ended up going inside and continued to wait another 20min when there was only 2 people inside and about 7 workers behind the counter. Half of them are just talking and laughing without doing orders. I had to remind them of my order because they forgot to make it. Save yourself the time and go to the other Starbucks across town. An update: Still disgusting. Every time I get a drink from here it either tastes like dishwater, like the milk went bad, or like they use dirty water or dirty ice cubes. Also this starbucks is dirty. The cups often have other particles other than the drink in there like little pieces of dust . The workers are incredibly rude on top of it. I do not recommend spending your money here. read more

The Drive Thru window on weekend is the Worst. They have had to remake a cold brew drink 3x's because they didn't read the label. Today again didn't read the label, added ice when request was NO ice...remade filled 2" from top with 4" of foam. Asked to replace some foam with coffee I was rudely told "it's because you are paying for a drink that comes with ice". I suspect they added water to the cold brew as well. read more

While waiting my venti coffee cup started to fall apart and spilled half. Guy at counter was mad at me for spilling the falling apart drink cup w hot coffee. Never ask if ok w hot coffee spilling on my hand and shirt. When I asked if I could get a new cup he said well ok and pours the half spilled drink into a new cup. Avoid this spot! I ordered a grande iced caramel cloud macchiato at the drive thru here and it not only came out as the wrong drink, but it had next to no foam & had coffee grounds sitting at the bottom of the cup. I went last night, about 830pm. I was in the drive-thru. No line no crowd at all. I ordered a cappuccino with heavy cream (the same girl always seems to have to correct me and tell me that it's not supposed to be like that but that's usually in the morning). This time no one corrected me but it was still just a regular cappuccino (milk not heavy cream) and what seemed to have a caramel taste to it as well. For nearly 5 dollars a drink I'd like to have the right one! And friendlier service please! read more

There are more workers here than customers in the store and yet still they manage to mess it all up. Went in and ordered a basic latte and macchiato and ended up waiting 15-20 minutes for my order. All the people who came in after me got there coffee and left as I stood and waited. Reminded the barista about 3x of my order and got me nowhere. She just ended up more flustered and mumbly. No sorry for the wait, no I'll get right on your order or anything. She blamed it on the printer that prints drink stickers??? When I finally did get my order it was 3/4 full and all foam. They need to get there act together and work more cohesively. Save your money and for good coffee I recommend factory fuel just down the road. read more

Very happy we now have a Starbucks in the Flemington area. The fact that this location has a drive thru is awesome. Staff is very friendly and the speed of service is improving as they get settled. The one major downside is the parking lot. Whoever came up with the design should be fired. The drive thru line ends up blocking in people that parked and went inside. I come about 2-3 times a week and the past few times I got a cold brew with foam something is off. The ice or water or something tasted iffy or not clean or crisp and all day I was nauseous, leaving a very bad feeling in my stomach. Also at the mobile order pick up counter the labels with the customers names do not always face forward so when customers walk in to get their drinks they touch each cup to swivel it around to read the label and find their name. Gross. This can be solved if the labels with the names were facing forward! read more

I like some of their coffee, and the staff always is always friendly and energized. Now the bad news. They are slow with making specialty drinks. Why is that you ask? Because they have only one person making the specialty drinks. My other issue here is really annoying. When they make flavored specialty flavored coffee 90% of the specialty is the top. 90% of my flavored syrup is on the bottom! That's like putting the cherry under the Sunday! Come on people. 90% of my brain isn't functioning, 90% of me isn't functioning so why would you not make my morning gold with flavor throughout?? Really? Put the flavor in the milk befor ya hit it with the steamed milk and my morning gold 100% ahhhhh. read more

Great coffee! Friendly staff. Sometimes things get a little rough when they have new staff but they still do their best. The only issue is the drive thru situation. There is a bank and Starbucks in the same location and the bank has tons of "no parking you will be towed away" signs and there is usually not enough parking in Starbucks. Also the drive thru is big enough for only one car to be behind the person ordering... then you are either awkwardly blocking the driveway or blocking the bank customers from pulling in spots or backing out.. again not the staff members faults and I am reviewing the customer service- which is great.... not the poorly designed parking lot! read more

Don't order the peanut butter & jelly protein box I was really in the mood for a PB & J and had seen it displayed in the store a few weeks ago. Looked decent. I ordered it today & it was less than half a sandwich with maybe a 1/4 teaspoon jelly and a "hint"of peanut butter. Basically 2 pieces of dry bread. I didn't have time to go back & let them know how dissatisfied I was but from now on I will only order the cold brew coffee.it was also a weird combination of a cup of salad dressing/ cucumber & carrots & string cheese & chocolate covered raisins . I visit this location often, the baristas are always friendly and get my order correct. I enjoy the coffee and the atmosphere, but I have to give this location a single star for the parking lot and drive through. Everyone pulls up on the wrong side of the road just to get straight in line with the drive through. Blocking traffic two ways on the wrong side of the road just for coffee, and no one addresses it... SMH, the beeping & blocking traffic is painful... read more

This is the place where we go to for lattes. I have never had a bad experience and the lattes are very good hot or cold. They have a drive thru window and the employees are always without exception very nice and professional. It gets busy with lines during commute times and weekends but worth the wait. I cannot comment on the food as I've never bought any here. read more
