What's up: We needed a coffee break before continuing on our road trip and this Starbucks was along our way. Parking: Decent parking lot. We didn't have any issues getting a spot. Environment: Fairly spacious interior. You'll see the long order corner up front and the restrooms on the side; a code is needed to enter. We placed our order at the counter and had a wait before our drinks were ready. We ordered 3 drinks but only 2 of them came out. Not sure how, but they somehow lost our order for the 3rd drink. And we had to flag one of the employees down to ask about it. What was ordered: - Nitro Cold Brew - Matcha Tea Latte Yay/Nay/Meh: Meh. I was disappointed today at this location, the guy at the drive through looked like new at this. He didn't offer a holding device to place my reusable cup, then he gave me one of my drinks with the wrong lid and he changed it himself (usually the partner who prepares the drinks is the one who changes the lid), then he poured my 2nd drink right there on the window in front of me and splashed the frapuchino then I have to remind him of the whipped cream I ordered. The drinks are okay but sometimes when I order the Matcha latte they don't add the Classic syrup that they say it includes. Even when I ask if they can make sure if they add it sometimes they don't. The service is okay, sometimes we are greeted well and sometimes they don't. read more

Lindsey had horrible customer service, when ordering she was rude about explaining that they were out of items she didn't offer alternatives and when I tried to order something from the bakery she was rude about explaining they were out of pastries for the day. For someone who hardly drinks coffee (less than 5 times my entire life), this visit to Starbucks left me very impressed. I was running off 4 hours of sleep & was on my way to Portland to work at the COVID Vaccine Clinic at OCC. It was 4am and of course this location was open (A BONUS! Most opened at 0500-0530). I mentioned to the barista that I hardly drink coffee, but there were 3 drinks I was interested in (from what I looked up on google). I couldn't decide between the 3 and was looking for something on the sweeter side; yet, had caffeine. Out of the 3 drinks, she recommended Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew which I originally had asked for the smallest size possible (knowing my tolerance for caffeine was likely very low). I get to the drive-up window and her & another barista had mentioned that they were giving me a significantly larger size in case I ended up liking what she recommended! I was VERY happy with her recommendation and it kept me running for about 12 hours. Thank you for your amazing service. I wish I had gotten their names. After the 4th bad experience in a row, I, I feel compelled to write a review. Employees at the store completely lack basic customer service training. The last three times I walked in to the store and they have been five people working away and no one by the cash register, and I sit there for a literally minutes on end to see if anybody notices that I'd like to place an order. No greeting, no "will be right with you", just busy doing their own thing and making no contact with the customers. The last two Americanos I had were completely over filled with half and half and temperature is lukewarm. I'm done with this Starbucks. Seeing the long drive through line, I expected a wait. No problem. Instead, I was met with a loud, thumping, discotheque that had my order ready in about 2 minutes. No hipster service here! The barista taking my order was phenomenal as I had a complicated go to coffee order. She was very engaging and friendly. I just ordered a match with oatmilk. The tag states oatmilk so the person taking the order was correct. Whoever made the order put 2%. Th flavor is very obvious when it's 2%. I personally am only lactose intolerant, I can't imagine if someone had an actual deadly allergy. Please watch what you are putting in peoples drink. Some people have intolerance or worse an allergy . I didn't have time to go back and grab a new, and will still drink this but it's important to watch out for things like that. read more

Clearly shutting down for a day for sensitivity training did not help this Starbucks. Traveling in area. Stopped here after shopping at Woodbury Outlet's.. My granddaughter (5) was starving said she wanted a sausage sandwich & apple juice. There were no customers waiting in the store. There were 2 baristas working the drive thru window. My granddaughter & I stood at the cash register for 5 min, both aware we wete there before one of them acknowledged our presence by finally saying, "I will ve right with you" & she continued with the other Barista to make drinks for the drive thru window. After some more minutes waiting i decided to abort leaving the apple juice, protein box i had at the register. My granddaughter said GG why didnt they help us? i wanted my drink & sandwich. i just looked at my 5 year old granddaughter as i was at a lost for words. How does one respond to ignorance? you would have thought there was a long line in the drive thru but there were only 4. i left & went to Dutch Brothers across the ramp and had a complete opposite experience.. consistently they get a 5 plus regardless of where i go. Another stop on my Starbucks Fix. I frequent here a lot when I come to town nowadays. Barista's here are always friendly and personable.

I stop by here at least 2 days a week. I always order the same...16oz house coffee extra cream and sugar and an everything croissant. The first couple of times it was hit or miss with the croissant as to whether they had any left. After that, I noticed that they always had one for me. I don't know if it's just a coincidence and they're just not selling like usual or they remember and put one aside for me. I have been here 2x in one day to correct a simple order and neither time could they get it right. A venti peppermint hotcocoa, came out to be no peppermint then the second time no cocoa. I'm still not sure how you miss the cocoa part the second time around but considering it's a holiday special Starbucks themselves has been trying to push I'm rather surprised they can't get it correct. Such a great Starbucks, the staff members are AMAZING! Each person that I've seen working there is friendly, enthusiastic, and so polite. They make small talk when there are no lines, and they expedite orders quickly when there is a long line, making it go super quick. Just saying, "Good morning, how are you?" I have been going to this Starbucks for 3 years now. They used to be 5 stars for me, until about 4 months ago. The wait is at least 20 minutes in the drive thru every time I go, which is 7 days a week. They make my drink wrong at least once a week. I liked the friendly baristas, but its just not worth it anymore. I now go to the other Starbucks on Lancaster. It takes me an extra 4 minutes to drive there, but they have my drink ready in less then 5 minutes and it is always made correctly. read more

To me, this is just an average Starbucks. The location is sketchy at best. The surroundings in the past were safe but now I wouldn't want to leave my car and only use the drive thru. The drive thru window, parking lot, etc have always been dirty and the staff kinda unfriendly to me, but maybe it was just a bad day. The new remodeling is an aesthetic and ergonomic flop. The lighting is harsh, the metal stick furniture looks & feels cheap, and the long tables are an eye-sore. The so-called padded chairs lean back too far and are hard on your back, and have no arm rests. We won't be doing business at this location. Note: Starbucks should get feedback from its regular customers before doing such major overhauls. Starbucks is a once a week stop for me. Had I the extra petty cash I would be tempted to spend it all on Starbucks, but alas, I am a lowly State worker. My Monday commute into work is made just a little brighter by the quest to acquire a tall latte and a Portland coffee cake, if one is still left by the afternoon. The locally made Portland coffee cake is a top choice for me, but they are likely to be sold out by the time the brunch rush is over. It has a cinnamon sugar crumb topping that is so good I always eat it first, then work my way down to the cake. I've been to every location in Salem more than a few times, though I normally just use the drive through. Of the two I use the most, Lancaster Ave and S Commercial, both are liked evenly well. Plenty of drive up line space, right on a main road, and can clear a line of cars in record time. The Lancaster location has the added bonus of being adjacent to the frozen yogurt shop Sweet Papaya that I love. The blend/roast of espresso Starbucks uses is my personal favorite of any large chain coffee shop. It tastes almost sweet compared to other major names like Seattle's Best or even Java Crew. I know I should order the non-fat, but I do like the 1% milk they have started using, and it's not that much more fattening. The brewed coffee, however, does tend to taste a little acidic on my tongue so I rarely buy it. On occasion, I have been bought bags of whole bean coffee for Christmas or my birthday, and I will use these, but it is only because they were free. I'm choosing to tag the 1134 Lancaster location for my review, but you could pretty much cut and paste for any of the fine locations. Never found one sub-par or unworthy of the Starbucks title. read more

Starbucks is a good go to, even if it's not my usual. I love the variety and selection of what is available (though the price increases are frustrating at times) I appreciate that they carry the reusable 2$ cups (loved them more at .99c.) I like the location as it's on the way to my work and it's great if I happen to be taking the to front next door or the toys r us nearby. I love how friendly they are there, especially when I've needed a little grace on a hard day. I recommend the cake pops, birthday cake are my fave) and an iced coffee with vanilla and cream for a cold drink that isn't loaded with calories. :) read more

If I could give this particular location a -5 stars I would. First few times (none of them morning rush), I thought ok whatever, it took ridiculously long to have someone answer the order menu at the drive-thru, and then an absurd amount of time at the window. Today was he LAST day I will suck it up for convenience at this location. I pulled up pleased that there was only one car in front of me (and 3 had already ordered) and thought it would be reasonably quick. Nope!! I waited 20 minutes in the drive thru for my latte. Had to wait an extra 40 minutes for a mobile order to come through, to then be told that they had run out of the items we had ordered. We were offered a cheaper replacement instead and no refund, as well as items that had not yet been picked up by other customers and had been sitting out on the counter. Customers who placed mobile orders prior to us received their orders before us. If you're looking for a quick stop for coffee and/or food, this place is disorganized and difficult to talk to if there is a mistake in your order. Strongly recommend visiting other Starbucks locations if you have the choice. read more
