This Starbucks is easily my favorite in our area. It's consistent, fast, the employees are ALWAYS friendly and they make the best drinks out of any local Starbucks baristas by a country mile! Recently, our cups have had little things written on them that are nice, short, and sweet. I'll admit they are a nice thing to read, but today I picked up a drink and the message simply said, "I wrote on your cup". I want to make it abundantly clear that I refuse to give this place any less than 5 stars for what I've already stated, and while I appreciate happy little messages, the way this comes off to me is that these messages have been forced onto the employees as a rather tedious additional task for them to do obligatorily, rather than something they're doing on their own accord. I don't blame them for the cry for help in the least, and while I can see managements point of view, please know that as customers, we're perfectly happy with your employees and their already exemplary track record in regards to their customer service and quality coffee! The last thing I want is for this employee to be punished, as I'm pretty sure it's one of my favorite baristas - instead, choose compassion in this increasingly hyper capitalist society and appreciate them for the great job they already do.

Great customer service but disappointing don't work with my photo ID for my birthday.. today 04/23..

To completely different drinks, you can see the sticker on the cups but they are the same drink in the cups .

We had ordered two drinks one of them was the new Matcha, Strato Frappuccino, and the other one was the strawberries and cream Frappuccino both in a size venti I had placed the mobile order so my boyfriend can go and pick up the drinks. He didn't have time to look at the drinks or taste them. He just grabbed them came home when he got home. I tried mine and my drink was fine. He tried his, and obviously it wasn't what he wanted. They had made two of the Strato Frappuccino's. he obviously doesn't like Matcha so he was very upset. Starbucks is always hiring New barista's they always have new people at this location. If you're gonna keep hiring new barista at least train your barista's so they won't keep messing up my order.‍

    Starbucks is hiring.

Say what you will about Howard Schultz - his coffee tastes, his political ambitions, his resolutely conservative dress style - he did create a corporate-run community third space of lasting value. But is it ketogenic adapted & sustainable yet? Not quite. For one, there is no keto coffee on the menu. No MCT oil enhancement or grass fed organic butter or adaptogenic blend of spices to help one maintain mental focus during a prolonged period of intermittent fasting. Minus a star for that failure to recognize a growing food & wellness trend that is transforming the American health scene even S we speak, dude. And this location once had a high end Clover brewing system to make high quality single origin coffee drinks to order. Not so anymore. The inadequate medium roast blend, Veranda, hardly compares. Minus another star for not offering an alternative to a real third wave coffee shop or micro roastery, dude. Then there are limited incentives for brining one's own mug (a measly 10 cent discount) and that is the NUMBER ONE MOST EFFECTIVE WAY TO REDUCE WASTE AND HELP SAVE THE PLANET. Minus another star for that, you corporate penny pinchers. What part of the new green economy don't you get? Howard! Come back and save Starbucks from itself. I beg of you. Billionaire bio hackers of your intelligence & physical prowess know the benefits of a ketogenic adapted lifestyle. You also drink single origin pour overs made from exquisitely sourced freshly roasted beans daily. And you are a sustainable guy at heart. I know you are because you put your money where your mouth is. Make Starbucks more keto-friendly pronto. Pay your staff an adequate wage so that they can operate sophisticated things like Kaliyah Wave drippers. And for goodness sake: give your customers more than ten measly cents for bringing their own reusable mugs (like my Snow Peak titanium model made in Japan, for example). Got it Howard? If you don't do these things, I will cover social media with your failures. But if you do step up and deliver, then I will sing Starbucks' praise as a true American sustainable corporate citizen. I am 14 times Yelp Elite. I keep my word. Please share this widely on social media. Let's show Starbucks the POWER OF YELP!

Always understaffed and never clean in this Starbucks. You'd think it was located on East Side as far as cleanliness. Mgr definitely needs to take better control of this location

For the most part, having the Starbucks app has been beneficial and nice to score points for regular visits. I am a frequent customer during the holiday months. October-December are my favorite times for Starbucks and their holiday flavors!

The staffs were amazing here. Two people working the front store. Both staffs enthusiastically took care of my COMP'd Birthday Drink. Love coming to this location!! PPE setup according to regulations. I feel safe being in this store. Thank you to the 2 baristas today!! LOVE YOU GUYS!!

Hey hey hey! (Good old "Music Champ" or for those not familiar with that Japanese variety show,…read more"Fat Albert"!) Another legit Japanese bakery in the Yay? You bet! Jiro/Jirou Cafe & Bakery (Jirou Sabou/二郎茶房) is a Japanese cafe on Belmont's Las Pulgas and Carlmont. From what I have gathered as I did my prior scouting/dining scouting (I can't recall anymore), the place is only 3 years old. Seeing that I'm a San Jose/Milpitas cat, I'll type what this place has over Clover and vice versa. This is done not only so that I can recall what I ordered should I enter as I get off 101 again. This is also done so that Belmont residents, Frisco ones and those nearby can get an idea of what to expect when they can decide whether Jiro or Clover has the better batch of items. I felt awful for staying in for 3 hours of the 4 weekend hours of operation yesterday, but as I type up this review and remember to insert the usual "Yes guys, the ladies are cute!" statement, I did get more items before this place closed for the day. I blame/thank the music, especially an Utada Hikaru-san song. The staff's really terrific. The look seems random with a simple look wall and a white and pink stripe look wall that gives me shades of Anna Miller's, but it works because the place is really cute. I mean, there's a Kuromi decoration as opposed to the Too Short name dropped Kitty in Clover! Though there's a kiosk, there's also the ever important bottle of sanitizer and the register should you pay with cash. Okay, I better get the comparison paragraph pair out of the way. Let me show you something--I mean start with what Jiro has over Clover! (Yay "In Living Color".) As I typed in the last paragraph, Jiro has Kuromi. Beside that, there are items such as an iced houjicha latte with in house cream, Japanese sodas including my San Franciscan friend's melon soda that made him wish he's back in Japan, cat shaped bread along with multiple forms of cat decorations, Anpan Man pan with Jiro being the second place I have been to carrying them after Sac's Mahoroba, big savory sandwiches such as yakisoba sando, tonkatsu quesadilla, yuzu cheesecake, pan such as sakura pan, matcha panna cotta, Belgian chocolate brownies, juurokucha bottles (a non-caffeinated tea of 16 ingredients) and on the go snacks such as the Japanese animal crackers boxes. I can't forget the seating, an element Clover had before the pandemic mess. What Clover has over Jiro. Clover has the cooler Sanrio character. Regarding the foods and drinks, Clover has Italian sodas with the Torani syrups, ice cream for the French ones as opposed to cream or half and half, piroshiki/pirozhki, mini versions of sandwiches such as korokke/croquette and okonomiyaki/modan'yaki pan (savory pancake with noodles for the latter if you are not familiar with Japanese food), donut twists, strawberry sando, and Japanese strawberry shortcake. Regarding what I bought, I picked out items I can't get at the other Japanese bakeries I've been to in the sakura pan, the yuzu cheesecake and the houjicha latte. The latte's cream is so silky. The sakura pan is also good. As for the cheesecake, while I think Charlie's (as in the cheesecake place on Redmond) makes the most yummy cheesecake, Jiro's for me probably makes the least guilty cheesecake (a very good trait to have) because it's not that sweet, and yuzu's a good fruit to have. The flaws. Outside of the parking lot across the street, the place has really bad parking, as you can only park for 20 minutes in front of the cafe. You figure that there's the lot around the corner, but don't use it, as it's for the medical center. Also, there are limited hours of operation (11-5 Wednesday to Friday and 12-4 on the weekends). Neither flaw can't be helped I suppose, especially since Belmont isn't really a suburb you think of regarding Japanese food. If only there's a fruit sando or a korokke pan. Jiro is an amazing spot for me. While it unfortunately will never be my top Japanese bakery (I've known Clover's for around 20 years), it is a very good bakery never the less. To think, I found this spot on the fly after having lunch. If you live in Belmont, visit this place often because having a Japanese bakery is like having a Mr. Mays baseball card or for some of you, a shiny Pokemon. Get there early so you don't miss out on items. +/Jiro is a jiving cafe because of its adorable staff, brilliant visuals, and a grand list of Japanese pastries and drinks. -/Carpy parking and limited hours made me twitch.
