Service was friendly and quick with only one person working there. I always like to check out the seasonal drinks and try the Dubai chocolate Matcha drink with oat milk. It was good, but not sure if I would get it again. There is are a lot of tables for working and their free Wi-Fi and a restroom.

This Peet has unfriendly employees, especially at night. They don't seem like they want to work and I feel inconvenienced when I order drinks one hour before closing time. I've come here several times because it's a good halfway point between the sales reps I work with and our two offices. The last two drinks I've had here, the Havana latte have been very bitter and disappointing. I think next time we'll walk to Starbucks or boba tea instead.

This Peets on E 3rd St is pretty chill. The staff accommodated my request for my Match Strawberry Frappe (a new members only drink-short limited time to preview). There was the matcha, strawberry puree, choice of milk, and I asked for cinnamon to be sprinkled on top(!). Hey, this is a treat for my Birthday! Time to celebrate, right?

It is interesting that they use cold brew to create black tie, which is kind of like vietnamese ice coffee on the on the weaker side. I enjoy it more than Vietnamese ice coffee because it's very strong. Service is a bit slow because it only have one barista while many people are ordering. I like the interior. It ferl cozy.

Haven't been to this location in some time and wanted a coffee and a pastry before they closed at 7 pm. Considering it was 20 mins before closing they still had some pastries on display in which I chose the almond croissant along with my coffee but forgot to ask that they warm up the pastry since it had been there since opening.

Got coffee here. We like major ducks sons blend and prefer to have it fresh ground. We have never had any problems at this location. Always fresh blends and good coffee. Customer service is good. Quick friendly and to the point. It can get busy. Also was seems to have a constant flow of coffee goers.

This location has outdoor seating . This location makes some strong but good coffee. Very consistent in terms to Peets coffee standards. The white chocolate mocha was delicious. The art work inside was awesome. I will rinse and repeat at Peets outside downtown in a seat.

This is my favorite coffee shop to stop by early in the morning when on the way to work. I will stop here sometimes to get coffee. The parking is not a problem at all especially in the morning. The staffs here always so courteous and smile to customers. This coffee shop sometimes can be busy even before 7am. But the line goes fast. So don't worry about might waiting too long. The latte they made usually taste smooth and alright to me. Not too hot or too cold.

You can barely see the employee, but she's awful

Walked into Peet's, excited since they had no line. We ordered a hot chocolate, caramel latte, almond croissant, and banana nut bread. Let's start with the awful lady at the register, she's so rude. She kept correcting the way my husband was ordering his coffee. As I was ordering she cut me off and asked the customer behind us if he wanted his usual coffee, um ok I'm glad you have regular customers but finish an order at a time. When we ordered the pastries she seemed irritated that we wanted them warm. Now let's get to the food/drinks The caramel latte was ok not the best/ my husband asked for caramel on top and the lady said to wait but I guess she forgot Hot chocolate was horrible, I mean I took a sip and threw it out Almond croissant was flavorless, tasted as if it was previously frozen Banana nut bread was super dry Needless to say we will not be back to this location

Soggy sandwich and bad service. The employees are not good at their job because they'll make you wait while they talk. Go to Philz instead.

I came in around 9am and they were already sold out of some items, but I did manage to get my hands on one of their famous croissants! I ended up getting the Pistachio Raspberry Croissant and Chocolate Chip Cookie. Both pastries are PHENOMENAL. The Bay Area truly does have a fantastic pastry (especially croissant) scene, but Backhaus is definitely up there. I loved how well the flavors came through in both, and the textures were great. They were also baked perfectly. I definitely want to try more of their offerings in the future! In general, this place well deserves the hype.

I tried the cheesy twist, morning bun, and the ham and cheese croissant. I am pretty sure I tried other things but I can't remember exactly what but these were the stars. The cheesy twist kind of tasted like there was an Alfredo type sauce along with the cheese. It was delicious. One thing I wish I would have done is ask for it heated because I saw some other people doing that and it looked delicious. The morning bun was so good. It had a beautiful medley of spices that truly brightened your morning. The flavors were so balanced. As for the ham and cheese croissant, the star was the ham. The flavor of the ham reminded me of a thanksgiving ham. It was amazing! Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with anything here. I regret not getting a full loaf of bread to take home with me.

I ordered the Osmanthus Matcha Latte (cold) with no modifications. There was no line at all, so my drink came out really quickly. Service was efficient, and basically non existent since you order on your phone, and pick it up from the counter. They have some seats indoors and a few benches outside, it's pretty spare and basic inside which is all you really need in a cafe. I saw a lot of people getting takeout, and some small groups around tables chatting. I was debating between the matcha and houjicha, then got intrigued by the black sesame, and finally after much internal debate, decided that black sesame + houjicha would work best together and wanted the einspanner. They honestly have so many intriguing options like Earl grey matcha einspanner??? Banana pudding?? I have to come back. My only complaint is the price but I guess everything is expensive these days. $8/9 for one of these drinks hurt my heart though. On the flavors: while I wish there was more black sesame (I always do), this was one of the most satisfyingly black sesame items I've had from a cafe. It went really well with the toasty roasty notes from the houjicha and I think they added enough of both amidst the milk to make it a very satisfying drink. This can be rare because a lot of places drown out all the flavors with too much milk. The best part though, was the einspanner - the sweetened whipped cream on top really brought the whole drink together and was so delicious. It made it just that little bit more decadent. I got it at minimal sweetness and at first though it wasn't enough, but I was glad I did as I worked my way through the cup, it was perfect.

Pickup was at the San Mateo location, which is right by the caltrain station. Its a super small storefront for carryout only. While the design was cute and the crepes were thin, there wasnt enough biscoff creme (only about 1 layer for every 4-5 layers of plain vanilla creme) for the flavor to really come through. For a special holiday flavor like this, we expected a stronger biscoff flavor. If theres a special again, we'd be willing to give another flavor a try!
