I paid for my drinks and waited for my friend who was in the restroom. I saw a tumbler she was looking for. While I was in the restroom she went to the counter with the tumbler in hand to ask an employee a question and the employee said "ma'am you have to pay for that." What a bunch of racist employees. The counter is the opposite direction as the door and yet the employee assumed she was going to steal the tumbler? In plain view of her holding it? When we confronted them, the female brunette young employee finally admitted to being the one who said something. I asked if it was because of how we looked that she judged us. She paused and said no just doing my job? I said she was going the opposite direction as the door and I already paid for the coffee. Why would you assume that? None of them had anything to say. This Starbucks yielded fast, efficient, accurate, and amiable service. I went through the drive through and my order was made with care and was delicious at that... Honestly surprised by low reviews of this Starbucks! I've been here in a number of occasions and never had any issues with my order. Staff seems always friendly too. Writing this as I'm sipping on my drink with a number of modifications that are all done correctly. If you're into milk tea like I am, try iced green tea, sub water with strawberry açaí base, add a splash of sweet cream and top it with matcha cold foam (shown on the left on my photo). In 1971 the original Starbucks made its introduction as a coffee bar. Fifty years later, they are still around, providing coffee enthusiasts with a certain trademarked experience. Coffee aficionados clearly have a variety of standards for what they consider to be good coffee. Ultimately, if you like Starbucks coffee you like Starbucks coffee. You know what it tastes like and I'm not going to describe it in this write up. I will take a few moments to talk about some important characteristics that apply to this particular location. Most important in Florida, is the point that this location has a large outdoor patio. The patio exposure is south facing or west facing. You can decide on your table selection based upon the time of day and where in the sky the sun is sitting. The patio floor covering is done nicely in brick pavers and each table has a green Starbucks umbrella if shade from the sun is needed. Inside the decor is considered modern farmhouse. There are lots of tables and chairs if you prefer the climate controlled air rather than the outdoors. We found the staff helpful and friendly. Most importantly, they got our beverage orders filled correctly and service was quick. Situated in a strip mall, there is plenty of free offstreet parking. This Starbucks location has the right ingredients for an all-around delicious experience. Salute! read more

3/15/2023 Was here at 6am and ordered a green tea, I received a black tea.( still dark out so I didn't notice) I drink green tea daily I know 100% this is NOT a green tea. I keep my order simple at this location because they are so inconsistent but they can't even get a green tea right. I've given this specific location chance after chance because it's so close to my house. Not to mention multiple times the lids arnt even on! If you want your order right, just go to another location. This is the worst starbucks in sarasota. I am proving a picture so you can see just how dark this tea is, definitely not green. A delicious drink I realize Starbucks has a huge following, customers who can speak with much more authority on good vs not so good locations than I. For me, visiting Starbucks for a drink is an occasional indulgence, my favorite drinks are their Frappuccino's. This Starbucks just south of Sarasota Square is fairly new, a location I had not yet visited. I was in the area and decided to indulge this morning. Tis the Season for holiday drinks. I checked the Starbucks website and discovered their Eggnog Frappuccino. Sold. Although I could not find my drink of choice on their menu board, I asked and of course they had it, and made me a tall one. Not inexpensive, but it sure was delicious. It had that subtle flavor of eggnog and with the whipped cream and ground nutmeg sprinkled on top, festively good. The place was large-ish, heavy dark tables in the center, comfy chairs along the sides. They also have a large outdoor seating area. The drive-thru was busy, as were the employees. I've visited other Starbucks where the staff seemed happier, chattier. Here, they were getting the job done, and that's ok too. read more

This was once a great location until about 2 years ago. Since then it's been a steady decline of quality and accuracy. It doesn't matter if you use the app or speak with someone you have a very high chance of having the order messed up. As someone who use to work drive thru before I try to be the customer I would want, but even this location has stripped me of my patience. I've spoke to corporate about the abundance of issues, and still they keep occurring. They don't care about getting the order correct or about the time it takes to hand it out. I don't know what happened but corporate should shut this location down and get rid of the store manager here. They aren't doing something right. I realize it's a luxury item, but when your charging $4 for a black iced coffee with only ice and coffee you'd think you could get it right. I would rather drive to the Derek ave location 10 mins in the wrong direction than play the coffee lottery at this location. read more

Always a great experience when I go through the drive through but today I decided to venture inside. Not only was it extremely clean but the atmosphere was fantastic no am an old barista so I loved seeing a coffee tasting with a coffee master and another barista in the back. Kate and the young lady she was training were fantastic. I was greeted with huge smiles and felt so welcome. They both did a great job making me feel at home. I went in craving my grilled cheese but was happy to see they had the tomato mozzarella panini still since the grilled cheese is so popular. My iced coffee was absolutely perfect as well. I went to this location not too long ago and it's one of the top tier Starbucks. There was a young man with a reddish beard who made my drink, "Tony" I believe was his name. He made the best "pink drink" Ive had yet. Shout out to him for giving my girlfriend and great service and mean specialty drinks. Overall I recommend giving this place a shot. So Go grab a coffee/specialty drink and enjoy the friendly atmosphere and leave a tip! Great service deserves it. read more

During a horrible sideways pelting rain and lightning storm, I was #5 in line at the drive-thru. I tried to open my window but rain was pelting in. But most importantly, it was the lightning strikes around the store that scared me, so I when I got to the window, I told them why I drove through w/o stopping, and tried to order a latte. Sunny, the supervisor said it wasn't allowed, and that I had to go back around in the pouring down rain, pull out into a weird parking lot, and then became #8 in line (because now there were 2 more cars ahead of me. In the time that we spent exchanging words, my latte could have been made. It was a horrible storm. That is not corporate's policy - Yes, I called! We were 6-feet apart, and in fact I had been wearing a mask in my car, until I took it off to question her because I was incredulous that she was making me drive through again. Even after I told her that a family member had been killed by a lightning strike, she kept saying, "This is our policy because of Covid." We were definitely 6-feet apart, as I was in my car, and she was wearing a mask. Her logic made zero sense. Not only was she not compassionate, she would not make an exception during a horrible lightning and sideways rain storm, which is what an experienced manager would have done. Sometimes there's the need for exceptions, which a saavy manager recognizes. So because of the lightning and the pelting rain into my car, she punished me by making me go back through.//Last week in Naples, I ordered an iced tea. When I got to the window, I realized I also needed a cappuccino. I asked if I could order it - yes, of course. This chick in Siesta Key wasted time, and put me in danger. And she is the face of this Starbucks. I can't imagine what she does when customers come into the store. She has zero common sense.
