After shopping at Winners and picking up dinner from Mr Sub, I spotted this Starbucks and decided to place an order through my Starbucks app. I used to frequent this plaza years ago when I worked in Scarborough. It wasn't too far away from the office. Many of the businesses have come and gone over the years. I was extremely reflective after I had placed my Starbucks order and looked at this cafe. It used to be a Licks Homeburger. I grew up in the Beaches and the very first Licks location was near my elementary school. I remember when this Licks was established. A bunch of us from work came here for lunch. My go-to meal was the gobbler (turkey burger) with fries and a fountain drink. This Licks had a drive-thru. I never visited it. I was now doing the reverse. I wasn't stepping foot into the cafe. Rather, I was hitting the drive-thru. The drive-thru entrance is between Thai Room and Mr Sub. I had no problem getting to the order area. I got a friendly female voice. I let her know that I had a mobile app order. She said that it was ready and to drive up. I liked how cheerful this barista was. She handed me my drink and snack in a paper bag. I thanked her and headed home. I got my usual drink, which is a grande iced passion tango unsweetened tea. I always love when baristas will write a nice message or a smiley on my cup. I got the best handwritten message here: Made with extra passion! Excellent! My drink was consistent and perfect. I love this drink so much. The passion tango tea had the best flavour. It was icy cold. Yum! I tried the strawberries and cream cake pop for the first time. I've always loved strawberry cake. My mom made it a lot when I was a kid. It had buttercream mixed in. The chocolatey icing was delicious. The shape of this cake pop was cute. It was a bit sweet. I loved it. I'm glad that I don't have it all the time! I had a great experience here. I reminisced. I made new memories. It was all good. (197) read more

Great Starbucks location! Same consistent drinks as any other location, but the staff here are like super awesome too. There's one barista gentleman (sorry I didn't catch his name) who takes the time to acknowledge all the customers who are around and makes light jokes and conversations with everyone. Really giving positive vibes all around! This location is fairly busy at all times, so the light banter was definitely appreciated. read more

This is the first visit to this Starbucks' location since the renovation. I am just pleasantly surprised! The new Clover Machine in the house with Starbucks Reserve. Super friendly and efficient staff. I was using my "Rewards" was encourage to get a Venti instead of a Tall. More coffee the better! Nicaragua Monimbo was not my first choice but they ran out of Jamaican Blue Mountain. But it was just as the taste profile: Balanced, Sweet and Fruity! PS I prefer the Clover made here compares to the other Sheppard/Birchmount Location. Pro Tip: You can request the regular roast as pour over! They will freshly ground the beans and made it immediately for you. The wait time will be 5 minute extra though. read more

Their Classic Coffee Cake is the best!

Everything is good at this Starbucks. I would have given it a 4 stars if the customer service can be a little bit more attentive. There are always enough staff inside the kitchen area. However, they are either slow or not paying attention. A better customer service training might help make this location more impressive. Other than that, this Starbucks has drive thru, outdoor seatings, nice indoor seating area, and mobile order pick-up. A good place to hang out in the neighbourhood. read more

Wow, a Starbucks that actually sells COFFEE? What a concept! Hot summer day for my first visit to this location and the first thing I notice is that almost every customer had a cup of HOT coffee in front of them. I don't think I ever heard a blender run the whole time I was there! A Starbucks that isn't morphing into Dairy Queen, definitely a rare sight especially in this part of the GTA. More importantly this location recently added Starbucks Reserve and the Clover Brewing System quite close to the next Reserve shop at Sheppard and Birchmount (which really is like Dairy Queen... too many kids with coffee flavored milkshakes). As far as I can recall this is a standard Starbucks I like their coffee but I don't think it is the best thing since sliced bread. I was there April 15, 2010. This isn't a review it's a tip: You can't see this location from the road...it's in the plaza with a National Sports, a Montana's, and a Licks (which can be seen from Milner where there's a driveway into the plaza). I found this location on GoogleMaps and then spent a few minutes circling around looking for it so I thought I would share. read more

I walked in here to grab my usual before heading to a soccer game. Normally they are pretty busy but I thought that it was my luck that there was only one person in line when I got in. They are usually pretty quick at this location however I waited in line for at least 5 minutes before getting any kind of service. The person in front of me seemed to be flirting with the employee and even though the employee saw me standing there they didn't do anything to hurry the "transaction" along. Instead they decided to give this customer "advice" about what to get next time in detail. It wasn't until I flashed the employee with a meaningful smile and a quick wave of my iphone with the Starbucks app open and ready did they actually get the clue that I was in a bit of a hurry and wanted to order. My green tea latte with soya milk wasn't that great. In fact, soya milk wasn't even added into my drink. Instead of it being half sweet it wasn't sweetened at all. My favourite Starbucks location in Scarborough. Came here on a Sunday morning to grab a cup of coffee prior to Hot Yoga (yes I know, I am just asking for a death wish with this double dehydration!) I sat and sipped my java for a good hour or so, and there was never a shortage of sample trays being passed around. Lemon-Cranberry Biscotti (sinfully sweet - to the point of a cavity-inducing level of discomfort), and a few of their new flavour frappuccinos. I think within that hour I was there, 4 different samples passed me by. Great patio and pretty spacious inside, although it does start to pile up rather quickly. On a Sunday morning at 8:30AM (right when it opened), there were already about 5 patrons waiting... I heart this Starbucks! read more

This Starbucks is tucked on Milner. It is kind of hidden for me as I had a hard time finding it. I love that the store is spacious. There are many small tables that are suitable for 2-3 people, a large communal table near the front entrance and a few spots at the high table. I love there are there are loads of electrical outlets so people can actually work there for a long time without worrying about batter power. There are loads of staff to make your drink. Everyone is friendly. I would definitely come again if I were in the area. read more

This is just from today's visit. Bought a couple coffees one being a more complicated drink than the other and of course a long line up so didn't expect my drink right away but I did forget to ask for a cup of water which I did probably 4 customers later. I asked and the cashier (Mide I believe was her name) took my name and made an order for free tap water. Told me I had to wait in line for "tap water". No one was behind me to order so I wasn't sure why she couldn't just grab a cup and fill it with tap water. Guess it's not a big deal just wanted to express my visit to this Starbucks. I guess better customer service but then again Christian was very nice taking my first order. read more

I'm not a real big fan of Starbucks. The service here isn't amazing and I had to correct the person on the order and change they gave me. Then they also gave me a big stink about it. I felt like an inconvenience to the person which wasn't a way I wanted to start my day. This one is often jammed packed. Though at the right time you can find it calm. I don't think I'd make a point of coming back here again. The folks at the Scarborough Town Center seemed far more pleasant then this one. read more

Good place to study. Packed on Sundays. It is much easier to get to by car than by walking or bus, although it is close to STC.

The service and the customer experience is fantastic they are very friendly and always are attentive.

This is what I consider my local starbucks, it's closest to my house and the friendly staff keep me coming back. It can get pretty busy, but there's a decent amount of seating (more than the other scarborough locations) and it's a great place to study, sit and read, or have a coffee with friends. read more
