Some of those drinks aren't coffee - they are sundaes! I kinda get the whole Starbucks appeal, I guess. My daughter and son-in-law both used to be baristas there and she has tried to explain and justify it to me. I mean, I understand the addiction to caffeine and all. It's just that, for me personally - with a limited budget or "disposable income" as it is now phrased - I cannot see spending $5.00 for a cup of coffee - or the hint of coffee after all those flavors, creams and toppings are added - that's a sundae, that's not coffee. So, while you are at Starbucks ordering your Yeti Carnival Margarita with vanilla syrup and a lemon slice or whatever - I'm down the road at McDonalds drive-thru fork-lifting a Big Breakfast into the trunk of my car, for about the same money - "Could I have that with a double stack of hotcakes, four syrups and extra grease on the bacon, please?" Plus, the coffee is basically FREE! And - about 10:00am while the top button on my jeans is still open - you're already snacking on the carrot sticks and tuna salad you were suppose to have for lunch... read more

Can't go wrong! Some locations are better than others but that's simply based off of customer service along with the experience of each employee and making the drinks to your liking. For the most part, if it doesn't taste right they will make it right. I just wish most locations stayed open later. read more

I was in Smyrna on business and just needed to grab a bite before a meeting. I am not a huge coffee fan, but I find Starbucks to be consistent when I am on the road. I went in because I was not in a hurry and wanted to chill before a day of meeting. The barista was awesome very friendly and all the right questions. In my plain coffee did i want him to leave enough room for me to add cream...yes! Did I want my coffee cake warmed...yes! As all Starbucks seem to be...it was a warm atmosphere with a mix of business and casual folks sharing some joe and getting their day started. If back in that part of the world I would stop in again. read more

Since I came twice this week I'll write about both experiences. Earlier, I ordered via drive thru. The lines are usually long at this location. Today was lite in comparison. Even with a lite line their drive thru service can be a bit slow but that could be perspective since we expect things almost instantly in a drive thru line. I ordered my iced doppio as usual and it was made perfectly with all of my little additions. If you order banana nut loaf, ask them to warm it up. It will change your world. Today I ordered an iced doppio and it didn't turn out as expected. So they actually have on the menu an iced doppio that comes grande and I think there are things added in it that I'm not too fond of. So if you want a double espresso just ask for a double espresso... I'll have to remember that next time other than that my bacon Gouda egg sandwich was great. The only negative experience this trip was coming inside the store this time and with only 2 people in front of me, it still took while before I was able to order. Guess I'll have to use the app more to order from this store specifically. read more

Very nice location! I'm in the middle of nowhere in Tennessee, and this was the closest Starbucks. The drive thru was PACKED, which makes sense because it's the only one within like 15 minutes. The baristas were super nice and made conversation with me about what I'm doing here and if I'm enjoying the state - I'm ecstatic that they DIDN'T tell me to "have a blessed day" (I hear that EVERYWHERE here). The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five was because the trash was like overflowing and the RTD case was kind of messy. Other than that, it was a nice little spot. read more

I had to stop at the Smyrna Starbucks near the hospital before a Saturday meeting I was hosting. I tried to call ahead but the number on the internet was actually to a fax machine or something so I had to just stroll in. First off, I was surprised at how many people were at Starbucks at 7AM on a Saturday. Why are those people not in bed sleeping off a hangover like I wished I was doing? Luckily it wasn't so packed that I had to wait to be waited on. I asked the boys behind the counter if they had large containers for about 30 people and they recommended two of the to-go containers. How long will it take? They said 10-15 minutes and they would have it ready to go. I would say it was even less time than that actually! They brewed two big to-go jugs of coffee and filled up a bag with cups, sugar, fake sugar, stirrers, etc. They then filled up a large cup with creamer and put a stopper in it so it wouldn't leak. Then the cute boy behind the counter helped me carry it all out to my car. Now that's service!! Great job Starbucks!! read more

I go to this Sbux maybe 5 days out of 7. The staff is reliable. It is a stop-gap for many employees so you see a lot of new faces. I'm guessing many are MTSU students. There is a group of regular baristas who've been there for a few years so I rarely have to tell them my order as I get ye basic tall dark roast...straight up. They're good people. The owner really should do more to limit the hard surfaces and noise..especially spending a few pennies for plastic caps for the chair legs...geez..simple fix . In late Winter / early Spring the sunlight can take some wicked angles at certain tables. The only other gripe is a very limited amount of outlets for your devices... again....that's an easy fix if the owner cared. UPDATE: since the remodel there are two large tables in the middle of the store with outlets underneath. Brand new chairs of higher quality. The individual tables are now a bit smaller so it can be tight with your laptop , phone and coffee but overall the improvements work. I don't like the air-dryer in the bathroom over paper towels but that goes for every place that seems to be doing this. Paper towels are handing for opening doors in public restrooms. I'm not OCD about it but I prefer not to touch bathroom doorknobs during cold and flu season for obvious reasons. read more

Quick and clean Starbucks to stop at when needing a break from I-24. They have a drive thru which seems to be quite popular but i would go inside to check out the man candy working there (3 hot baristas in one location? Unheard of!) So everything about my coffee and the majority of the service was fine, except that the cashier doesn't know how to do basic math. My bill came to $11 and change. I handed her $22. She turns around and throws two dollars into the tip jar and breaks my $20 for my coffees. Somebody better go back to math class. read more

I love this location. The baristas are always on their A-game and make a crazy good iced Caramel Macchiato made with milk and sugar + one shot of caramel. It does get slammed here with lines wrapping all the way around the building and out of the parking lot entirely depending on what times you try to grab a coffee though. Very good coffee here and I am not normally much of a Starbucks person, there's just really not much else in Smyrna that can compare unfortunately. read more

They literally have idiots working there spent a good 10mins in the driver tru window waiting on the young guy to give me my change. My total was 13.50 and so I gave him 15.50 and that confused him! It was a complete weird situation as the guy had the registe in his face to help he was lost disoriented and my frappe double shot was horrible!! read more

I have been going to this location for years because of the convenient location, it's on my way to everything. I usually have 3 different locations that I go to but this one has always been the worst. They never seem to get my drinks right even if I give them specific details (like "light ice") they end up doing whatever they want. The flavor is almost never accurate I just don't understand, this is something they do for a living! The crazy thing is that it's different employees so I'm assuming maybe their not getting trained correctly?? Idk but it's pretty frustrating that I pay $5+ on a drink that is never done right. Not to mention they are very slow on getting drinks out, there is no competition with some other locations. My past 4 visits here have been awful. I usually get iced coffee or cold brew. They are usually out of cold brew but the one time they had it they didn't cut it. So I got a venti cup of cold brew concentrate (maybe that's why they are always out). Luckily I was on my way home so I was able to cut it in half at home. The iced coffee always tastes burned. The good thing is the baristas are friendly. The food has tasted good. I'm going to be visiting Panera for my coffee fix from now on! read more

This is my favorite Starbucks ever thanks to the barista (her name starts with a C, I believe) who made my drink, a double shot on ice, perfectly and without a second thought or even an eye roll. She seemed happy to be there! The manager at the counter, however, named Jeff, was absolutely rude to me. He acted visibly annoyed with me while taking my order, and had a mocking tone to his voice. I could tell he didn't want to "deal" with me. I was polite as can be but he definitely woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Seems to me like the barista and manager should switch positions. She is much more customer friendly than he is and served me with sweet hospitality and a warm smile. She is the only reason I will return. read more

Filthy is an understatement. There are gnats and all kinds of bugs everywhere. Last time I went the display food had bugs all over and they informed me the manager didn't know what the doors were and threw them away.... Soooo, this is me being nitpicky, but I found this comical and slightly annoying. Any time I order my specific drink, I have two customizations that are incredibly simple. It gets messed up occasionally because the baristas have a routine when making drinks and I get that. It happens. Normally, I'll let the barista know, they will hand me a new drink, and ask if I want to give the incorrect one to someone else. I always do to pay it forward cuz the drink is still good and who doesn't want a free Starbucks to make their day better. The barista originally asked if that's what I wanted to do and I said sure, she talks to her manager, and is like ummm I think I will just toss that one and takes the incorrect drink. It's not the end of the world, but it's just bad managerial skills. You would rather toss a drink that YOU made incorrectly to what I prefer, instead of letting me gift it to someone else to keep me from getting two? I didn't make the mistake and you just wasted a drink unnecessarily. Only Starbucks I have ever had do this and I won't be back. It was incredibly awkward and a like, really moment lol. It was so nice to walk into a starbucks where they are not treating the customer like an enemy. The bathrooms are open, the employees are smiling and friendly. My drink was waiting for me when I got there. I'm not from here. The one back home in Braselton, GA doesn't even have consistent business hours. The little bit of time they are open everyone seems scared to death to even look at you. Walk in with your mask just a little out of place and they yell at you to "fix" it. Starbucks is great and their coffee is always pretty good fine coffee. However, costumed service at this location was horrible!! The guy was extremely rude and I didn't feel welcome there at all. At first, he talked to his co-workers about how he got "his new tattoo in philly" while I was waiting for 5 mins for him to come up to me and get my order. He was extremely rude and disrespectful. He messed up my order 3 times and even on the 4th one, it was still wrong but I took it anyways because I didn't want to deal with him. I don't know if he was having a bad day or what was happening but it was 7am and seeing an incredibly rude person at 7am is way too early for bad vibes, in my opinion. read more

This Starbucks location is very convenient! My favorite hot drink here is the Peppermint white chocolate mocha and cold drink is Green tea frappuccino. I highly recommend signing up for their rewards program as the prices of these drinks a little high. Free drinks on your birthday and other free rewards thru out the year.
