This Starbucks is closest to my job's Vero location. I always use the mobile app so I can pick up quickly. Of the dozen or so times that I've visited this location, there was one incidence where I had to wait while they heated up some food from my order. They were slammed, but the barista still handed me a gift card for my wait. This most recent visit, I offered to pick up coffee for the office and when I arrived, all 4 drinks were were ready to go, in a cup holder, with straws and a fork for my eggs. There was also this cute little sign stuck in the cup holder! Something so small really made my day. It's the little things and this SB took the time to do that for a customer with a mobile order.

The thing about palms is, you can't trim them when they get too tall...

We got great directions to help us find the place; when we arrived, the staff helped us find a seat that didn't involve walking across the slick floor (on crutches, which makes the assistance especially valuable). Next, we got personalized recommendations for drinks (I wanted a sugar-free version of the chai latte and got a brewed chai tea, made with two teabags and half the water, then filled out with steamed nonfat milk--delicious!), and since I was in the restroom when my wife ordered her drink, they just ran a tab for a little while until I was available. And since the restaurant wasn't busy, and my wife was on crutches, they even brought our drinks directly to our table! Starbucks works hard to make sure their product is of uniform quality, but the human element is harder to control. At this Starbucks, the people are top-notch.

the drink i was suppose to get

ok so i get in to the festive spirit and get a festive drink but instead i got a festive scented crap show. this was literally horrid, my sugar cookie almond milk crème frappuccino came out with literal water in it and it was BROWN... i'll show what it's suppose to look like vs what i got

Even on a seemingly busy morning, the service is incredibly fast. I have never had my drink made wrong. I really love this location!

I ordered a "dry" cappuccino. I got this - a wet latte. Staff are very friendly but this sure is a huge miss. I am super disappointed.

First nice Starbucks we've been in in Florida in a while. Nice staff, good drinks - coffee cake was excellent.

We got there at about 11:30 on a Saturday morning and there was about a 20 minute wait - not bad at all. Once seated, we were brought water and the cutest bread basket, blueberry muffins!! My fiancée ordered the chocolate chip pancake big breakfast and I got the same, with lemon blueberry pancakes. These pancakes were DOUSED with berries, and the lemon shone through. The eggs were great and the bacon was perfectly crispy. The atmosphere in this place is SO beachside shabby chic. It's all bright wood, local art, and driftwood pieces. Our server was so sweet and attentive and kept our drinks full for the full meal. Though the restaurant was full, we didn't feel pressured at all to eat quickly and leave. One note for parents - the tables are glass topped and they do not allow clip-on high chairs. Absolutely not a negative, just felt it was important information to share. And a more general note: there's no specific parking for this restaurant. Keep an eye out for street parking and non-permit lots as you're getting closer. It's a very walkable neighborhood. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Lemon Tree and would highly recommend it!! Thank you all for providing a great start to our day

We arrived around 1:00 PM and happened to be the first people there, which was nice. The indoor ambiance is very casual. It's not really a place for large groups or gatherings, but it's great for a small group looking to grab a drink. Now for the service. Our server, who was also the bartender and chef, was incredibly accommodating, quick, and provided AMAZING service given the circumstances, so kudos to her. That said, she was the only person working in the entire establishment that day. While it was manageable when it was just our party, once more guests started coming in it was clearly overwhelming. She ultimately had to close the kitchen, which was understandable, but it happened before everyone in our group was able to order food. That left us in an awkward situation where we had to leave and go elsewhere so the rest of our party could eat. We still had a great time and enjoyed our drinks, and this is absolutely not a reflection on the server at all. This falls on management or ownership. Staffing only one employee the day after Christmas is something that really needs to be reevaluated. I genuinely felt bad for her.

Oceans Cafe

Back in the early 2000s, there was a local coffee shop I loved going to called The House of Joe…read more After closing due to the landlord "selling the building the coffee shop was in," The House of Joe never really reopened despite saying it found a new place. I missed those days of the local coffee shop, so when I find a new one, I must always check it out. Oceans Cafe, however, differs as it is a coffee shop located within a church (community). Ergo, it combines two things I love: coffee and God! I just had to check it out, and I am happy I did. It's worth the 30-minute trip south on I-95 to experience it. For starters, it should be stressed that Oceans Cafe's location is somewhat unique as it is located inside of Indian River Mall. That may sound like a red flag as the locals can tell you that the heyday of that mall is in the past with many of its stores closed, but it is still alive and kicking thanks to certain stores such as the AMC 20 and repurposing some of its space for other endeavors. One such endeavor is the westside of the mall being repurposed into Oceans Unite Christian Center, a large Christian church and community. Besides their church/assembly hall, they have a bookstore, radio station, playground, and even a children's center/daycare. One of those "community businesses" is their coffee shop, the Oceans Cafe. Access to the cafe is inside the mall as it has taken one of the store spaces in the Oceans Unite Christian Center part of the mall. I went with my friend Patrick and we have to say, it is a nice coffee house. It has all the decorative hallmarks of a divey coffee house back in the 2000s but with a Christ-centered flair. There are divey signs, numerous tables and chairs for congregation and hanging out, and a huge chalkboard wall that has blessings and prayers written in chalk. Ordering food is like the "cafeteria line" which most will recognized being utilized in Panera Bread. You make your orders, and if you can't get something pre-made or in the cold case, you'll get a number for staff to deliver your food to you. As for the food, the selection is extensive which includes breakfast, paninis, baked goods, salads, soups, and much more. Now here is the kicker, all the food and drinks are "pay it forward." This means you pay what you feel on your heart to pay. This is definitely good as there are people who may need a meal who can't afford such yet they still can get one. Many of the congregation, especially other Christ Followers who come, love to pay it forward. I myself paid more than the recommended, as provided via a conversion sheet by the staff, for my soup, sandwich, and smoothie. As for food, it is very good given the staff are volunteers from what I am told. Probably not the best of the best, but the cause is enough to satisfy your soul as well as your hunger. On a sidenote, the restrooms are part of the community church so they are well-maintained. Take note they are gender-neutral as I only saw two single-person restrooms and making them gender-neutral prevents a waiting line for one gender forming. I do not mind that. Ultimately, I am giving Oceans Cafe a four out of five stars which is the highest any indie business and/or restaurant can get on an initial visit. If in my subsequent visits they are consistent, I will give them their fifth star. EXTRA: Oceans Cafe is located in Indian River Mall so for the scavenger hunters out there like me, there are a large array of geocaches and Munzees to find. You might even find a painted rock too.
