You cant go wrong with a Blueberry Bagel and Kiwi Red Bull at 8am in the morning. I happened to be driving in the neighborhood, and the second that I saw this place I knew what would get my day going right! I think I arrived a little late and I must have missed the morning rush, because there were inky two other customers inside of the store. Ciara took my order, and she wasted no time getting my bagel prepared. She was also helpful and she let me know about the different shmear/ cream cheese topping options. I thought that the strawberry shmear with the blueberry bagel would taste great and I was right! The bagel was also not too hard, and I was initially concerned about that, because I had a little tooth problem after I bit into a really hard bagel. I've been over here a couple of times since I moved to the city, and most of the time it's a pretty decent place to hang out or work. Today's visit was not the best because of the loud blaring music and literal trash everywhere. There also seemed to be a steady stream of customers coming in and not ordering anything. I usually hangout on the upper level, and it looked like someone had made a big mess eating donuts. Today I ordered the caramel frappuccino and it tasted pretty good. I made a fair attempt to work on my project, but it was simply impossible with the loud music. It's a if the music was turned up for the employees benefit and enjoyment. Horrendous bad service here. They were backed up with mobile orders and the barista kept barking at people and generally being rude. Nearly 40 minutes waiting for a mobile order. About a 2-2.5: This Starbucks is located right off of Wisconsin, next to a small parking lot that is free for Starbucks customers. If that lot is full, there is also some free parking right across the street in a small lot. I actually prefer the one that is further up along Wisconsin in the Glover Park neighborhood, as the staff is super friendly and welcoming (the staff here are a bit stand-offish and super brusk!)! In addition, the drinks that I've had here always seem to be watered down T___T When I have meetings in the area, this place is usually our place for a coffee run; however, I highly suggest in driving up a bit more to the Glover Park location for better coffee and better service! +small lot for parking +not-too-friendly staff +watered down beverages read more

As a a mobile worker you can often find me scrapping around town for free WiFi, an outlet, and an empty chair. My tastes tend to lean towards the hipster coffee shop variety - - you know the kind where the sun don't shine and serves absinthe after hours. After a trip to the Wisconsin Ave Starbucks, I finally got a taste of how the other half lives and I don't think I'll ever, EVER go back! This one has not one, but two levels but best of all a large rooftop that allows you to soak in some Vitamin D while you shoot out a few emails. WiFi is a little bit spotty on the roof but when you're getting some sunshine it's a petty thing to fight about. They have all of the same offerings as most standard Starbucks and their very own private free parking lot....IN DC. I'm camping out here forever. read more

There's a Starbucks up the hill 3 blocks that's closer to the Glover Park shops like CVS, Whole Foods, and Glover Park Hardware. So why is this one here? I dunno... but it does have a roof deck, and people seem to really like to sit out in the sun sipping their icy coffee drinks up there as they look down on the rest of us. I love this starbucks. It is conveniently located right next to where I work but more than this the service is phenomenal and I feel like the baristas take an extra step to get to know you. They also recently had a post on the door that they were applying for their liquor license - might be my new before AND after work jam. I usually stop in between 8 and 8:30 am, although sometimes I come more towards 11. The line can be 5-6 people deep in the mornings, but they are never extremely slow or backed up. There are always a number of Baristas behind the counter. There is a decent amount of seating at this location. Would be kind of crowded / awkward to sit up front but there is a patio (i Think) and long hallway with a plethora of tables. I am a starbucks gold member - so you already know I am addicted to the place but this location is surprisingly better than some of the others you can find in the city. read more

After wandering around Dumbarton Gardens, I had some time to kill and happened upon this Georgetown Starbucks. Normally, as an out of towner, I opt for the local coffeeshops but sometimes the familiarity of a Starbucks draws me in. Such was the case with this one. I received great service from both the barista that made my iced coffee and the gentleman that took my order. No complaints! What I liked about this location was the upstairs and rooftop seating. I ended up spending about 30 minutes just chilling on the rooftop. It was quite relaxing. There were a lot of people working / studying at this location so a good bit of the seats were occupied but I was still able to grab one. I noticed that this location doesn't have the best reviews so I wanted to put my two cents in and let it be known that I had a great experience here. read more

How many times in life do you actually get to enjoy your Starbucks at a Starbuck? Well, the opportunity is here for me today! I reminisced about things as I slowly sip my coffee waiting for 15 minutes to an interview time. I smiled at myself as I was less wrong than last year. Black coffee isn't my favorite still but I can bear it, it's not too bad. It's actually reminded me of my life back in LA - dark, bitter, hot and hard to swallow. Lattes are sweet and sweet things are good for short. You can hardly finish your sugary vanilla latte quicker than your Americano. Sure thing an Americano is bitter but once you accepted the fact that it's bitter, you finish it faster and most likely when it's still very hot. I normally like to have my coffee sweet as I feel it's needed but man I was just wrong. Consuming sugary coffee in the morning will make you feel worse in the afternoon as the sugar level drops - just like people's niceness. People usually are nice to people they like in the beginning and then tend to drop their niceness once they feel comfortable with you. And you're just have no clue that your caffeine level effects his or her level of niceness. People don't actually read so it's not really related, I know. So here I am writing my review while sipping on my Americano in the middle of DC. Nothing is better than having yourself as your company with a good coffee. This location is prime! read more

Very disappointing customer service at this local Starbucks. Really a shame since I love supporting local joints. I basically was charged for an order on the app that I never got because the store was closed on December 31. I asked how to get reimbursed and the barista said I should speak with a manager. I waited there but no manager came. Another barista told me that it was too late for me to be reimburse me, that I should have come the next day and that they all have homes to go to, which is not at all an appropriate answer and kind of aggressive. He then proceeded to say he could offer me one drink no more which was not at all my ask and of course I refused for the principle. He then proceeded to tell me I should call corporate (which I did initially and the operator hung up on me). My simple question for knowing how to get a refund for an order I never got was met with unnecessary rudeness. Very disappointing read more

Multiple levels, tons of seating, and one of the best rooftop terraces that I've ever seen, your DC and MD CMs Kimberly S. and Mike B. both agree that we're pretty sure this Sbux is going to become our new office. The only negative is that the bathrooms have those code lock things on them which is a little annoying. But dude, that rooftop more than makes up for it. Alright, here's the skinny on this Starbucks... It's AWESOME. Located right across from a Safeway and a whole lot of shopping and eateries (as well as Georgetown University), this Starbucks offers an excellent place to get away from the library if you're looking to get some work done. Personally, I've been getting geared up for applying to professional school and have probably spent a cumulative 40 hours at this place in the past five days, and I have nothing but praise for the place. The employees here are so kind, warm, and ready to accommodate you in any way they can, that I'm starting to be able to call this place home. It's an effect definitely helped by the fact the decor is comfortable and welcoming- exposed brick, dark wood-paneled flooring, warm lighting, portraits of the anatomy of the coffee bean... this place has it all! AND as soon as I'm craving something a little more substantial than coffee and a scone for lunch, I can walk out the store, take ten steps in either direction, and send my stomach on a culinary journey to China or France. Seriously, this location is the beez kneez. Other pluses include free parking, free Google-powered WiFi, a second story with attached outdoor patio, and quick service! Quite the line here in the morning during the work rush, but the baristas move it along quickly! This is a beautiful store, with wood paneling and a second floor for additional seating that overlooks the first floor. Baristas were friendly and helpful, and even the customers waiting in line seemed to be in a better mood than at most Starbucks at 7.45am. Plus, it's clean and service is always quick even when they're busy in the mornings. While this Starbucks is in a great location, it's a pain to get to if you have a car. The reason I like going to this Starbucks above the other locations on Wisconsin is because of their seating. This location has both inside and outside seating, and plenty of it. However, if I'm not already parked in the area I don't even bother trying to get a parking space to run into this location. The staff are generally friendly and always get my order right, however, there seems to be a trend with this location not opeing at the time stated on the door. I'll often try to grab a coffee early and while the lights may be on, the door is always locked even half an hour after the posted opening hours. I still like this Starbucks a lot, I just wish they would open on time! read more

This is a super Starbucks. It has an entire upstairs area and a ground level with numerous tables and chairs. If you go on the weekend expect it to be quite crowded. Especially Sunday morning. It is located next to several brunch restaurants nearby. It is a little too big for me personally and a bit on the far side from Glover Park. It is across the street from Safeway and located on the main st. of Wisconsin. Everyone who comes here camps out all day. Don't bother waiting for a seat to open up. read more
