This is one busy Starbucks! I'd even put it head to head with some of the NYC locations. That being said, it's got some nice couches, tables, and chairs. The highlight has to be the three bookshelves they have, where you can "take a book, leave a book." I've done it more than a few times! As others have mentioned, cons include possible long lines, hard to find a seat sometimes, and parking. Parking in Shop Rite as David G. suggested is a good idea. I haven't really experienced any bad staff or management yet, but maybe I've been lucky. read more

This is a really good starbucks. The staff is really friendly and organized. However, it almost always busy in this establishment.

The store is very spacious. Seems like people come here to hang out, but you can easily study or work there. Plenty of seating spaces along with lounge chairs. there plenty of outlets, so you charge your devices. Baristas are not super quick but very friendly! read more

Been here a few dozen times but am not regular. I like the conveinent location and can get a typical Starbuck coffee fix. -Pros...usual fare. Good coffee, relatively quick service. -Cons...My husband gets the Frappucinos and they are inconsistently preppared(Chocolate Chip). Parking is hit or miss. read more

Should call this place "Charbucks." First time I ever returned a cup of black coffee. The barista seemed confused at the fact that I said it tasted burnt and bitter. I didn't ask to review Starbucks, it was in my feed when I went to Yelp. Starbucks is awesome when there are no other choices, for example, if you are in certain cities. But Philly has lots of excellent coffee houses and roasters, e.g., Green Street, La Colombe, Old City coffee. Next to those, Starbucks is third rate. read more

They actually have a nice open layout here with some comfortable seating. Can't complain. A tip regarding parking. Their lot is a bit of a mess. Save yourself the hassle and park in the north end of the Shop Rite lot next door instead. You'll be 20 feet from the front door and avoid the headaches of the 'correct' parking lot. read more

Incredibly slow service. Never more than one person on register- and half the time they are incredibly frazzled. They take breaks or switch tasks in the middle of ringing someone up and rarely even make eye contact. My boyfriend routinely orders a triple espresso and more often than not, receives a double. This is a beautiful, large store with lots of space, comfy seating, and some great, well stocked bookshelves. The drinks and food are as good as any Starbucks. However, it has got to be the slowest store I have ever been in. After a few weeks of visiting consistently, I have never waited less than 5 minutes for a very simple espresso drink. It's not that they're understaffed because there have never been fewer than 4 baristas. I can only conclude they must have very poor management and/or training. The atmosphere is nice though it always seems crowded because of the small size and sometimes it's hard to find a place to sit. I tried studying there on a week night after the library closed and the music was a little loud so it was hard to concentrate.. though arguably most people don't go there to study. Make the drinks correctly. If you make a Refresher and don't shake it, how is the water and juice suppose to mix. Shake the drink and save the attitude when asked to shake the drink. I spend a fair amount with Starbucks every week and expect my order to be correct every time. I work near this location so I chose to visit on lunch using the mobile order. The barista didn't seem too excited about being on bar because his facial expressions and body movement said enough. He wasn't announcing names nor was he announcing the beverage he was handing off. I waited 10 minutes in the store for a latte that wasn't made correctly and was supposed to be ready by the time I arrived. The store wasn't busy otherwise I would've understood having to wait. Always a long line, they always have one barista making drinks with 2 people on registers & 2 making sandwiches. In the busy rush of the morning, that's not okay. I waited today over 20 minutes for my drink with about 7 people ahead of me. They let a girl who was 3 people behind me get her drink first as she was in a rush (aren't we all? I had to be at work!) I finally got my drink, tall skinny caramel macchiato, and ran to work. I got to work & took a sip, as dodging the cars on passaic ave is not ideal with coffee, and it's all skim milk! I go to this Starbucks at least twice a week. They are very inconsistent because my drink is always tastes different. A few of the employees are extremely rude and act like they do not want to be at work. While I was waiting for my drink today the employee that was making them was putting them down very harshly so liquid was coming out the top of each drink he put down. terrible service. we started a line because no one else was in the store besides the person ordering. people started lining up behind us. then, a rush of people came in and just went in front of us (clearly had been here before). so instead of taking us first (already waiting 5 min) , the barista told us that the line starts where the people just walked in... 8 people long. if I didn't have a gift card, I would have walked the 15 feet to the Dunkin donuts where the service is always great, no matter where you go.
