A very nice place for a cup of coffee and to relax This is one of over 16000 Starbucks in the US and about 500 stores in Virginia. This site is located on the south side of Hoadly Road. This is a fairly busy road but it was not difficult to get to or leave from this location. It is in a shared building.. There is some parking directly around the restaurant and more in the adjacent parking lot. This place supports an indoor and outdoor seating area and a drive through. The outdoor area has about 2 tables and the indoor area has a bench with 4 small tables, a large long table and 3 tables of 4 along the window. The indoor is polished concrete floor, beautiful wood tables, wood walls, large artwork along the right wall as you enter and glass along two walls. The indoor and outdoor space were clean. You order and pay at the counter and your completed order is served at the end of the counter to the left of the order counter. As with most Starbucks, this one serves the usual assortment of drinks and light snacks. The staff was friendly and took our order quickly. They called our name when the food and drinks were ready. The coffee cake and banana bread was very good. Prices were reasonable for a Starbucks. It is a nice place to hold a meeting and have a cup of coffee. read more

This location is pretty clean for the most part and almost always busy. I recommend ordering ahead via the app to reduce your wait time during peak hours. They do a good job to have the order ready according to the time estimates. The drive through is also a good option and my preferred way to go if I'm in a hurry. Hope this helps. read more

I have been wearing this place for mobile orders and I have to say that the best time to come to this location, may actually be early in the am. If I mobile order in the wee hours of the morning, lets say like between 6:45 and 7:00 am, my order is always ready when i get thee. The gents are super friendly and that helps soooooo much early in the morning. The customer service this am blew me away. Upon picking up my drink, rushing, I forgot my egg bites. Once I realized it, I turned around and went back and they were still there but they were cold. The gent was nice enough to warm them back up for me. Listen, this was everything!!!!! I just want to start off by saying that I have been going to the Starbucks for years, and I have always experienced excellent service from the staff. It is completely unacceptable to scream at your staff like that. Especially in front of customer's. This man should not be working in this store what so ever. This is the closest Starbucks to my house so I went in to get my coffee and a lemon loaf. It was not busy inside and the wait to get my coffee was completely unreasonable (pickup orders considered). When I final did get my coffee being a little frustrated already I drive off and took a sip to realize it was also cold (Luke warm coffee is basically cold when you receive it that way) OH AND it wasn't even filled up! My morning is off to a great start when I pick up my coffee with these guys. It's on my way in, so that's convenient (I've even driven past work from the opposite direction to pick my drinks up here, so that says a lot). I do recommend ordering with the app if you're in a rush, because they start to get busy around 7:50am. Or show up 10 minutes early and chat with them while they fix up your drink! Julie always stops to say hi while she makes your breakfast, and both Chris and Cris are totally worth catching up with pre-caffeine. I'm just now writing this two years after finding them because they went above and beyond for me this morning. I've been ordering their seasonal toasted white chocolate mocha instead of my usual vanilla latte for the last few weeks, and I did it again today, not realizing that tis the end of the seaon (sniff). Ordered it on the app at 8:00, walked in at 8:10 to pick up, and Chris told me they were out, and could they just make my usual instead? Already amazing. I figured I would be waiting another 5 minutes for them to whip it up, no big deal, when BAM! He hands me a cup of my go-to latte that he had already made for me in advance. The pink drinks or most refreshers are poorly made. They hand out pink drinks with out shaking them , so they milk is completely separated. When they add the strawberry inclusions they add in all the dust so it makes your drinks clumpy and gross. Sometimes they taste sour. read more

They are rude. They make the food then stack it up in the back and don't sit it out for waiting customers. When you ask about your order that is just SITTING behind the counter they are beyond rude, nasty and dismissive. It would be different if I did not order ahead 15 minutes before. I came in here for a quick cafe American, and I walked out with the new iced cocoa cloud macchiato. It was something that is had never seen before, and it caught my eye on the menu. It consisted of 2 shots of expression, milk cream, and taufee nut spice type. It tasted very velvety and fluffy I'd how I would characterize it. It was quite good. This location was nice and the several employees behind the counter seemed very happy to be there. Also the music wasn't too loud like they have at other locations, so I could relax a little more. This is the closest Starbucks to my house and has been my regular location for years now. They use to be super fast but recently I noticed a change in their staff and it's been extremely slow! I use to do a mobile order and by the time I got there, it'll be waiting for me. Now, it takes 15-25 mins so if you're in a rush, forget about it. Once I waited 25 mins for a guava drink! The staff are friendly and nice but I feel like they don't have a good system in place. Totally depends on who's working as to whether U'll have a good experience or bad one, which is true @ every Starbucks location. Most people are friendly. Some baristas are good drink makers, some not so much. It's really bad when they hold in-house coffee tastings for staff -- during daylight hours! It occurs about once a week. It means a whole new crew of working baristas make UR drinks. Yuck. They get it wrong. They make UR drink bad... And, we have to wait 30 mins for them to make our drinks. I stop here on my way to work. I live 15 minutes from this Starbucks and order when I am in my house before I leave. My order is never ready when I get there. Today it took 30 minutes for my order to even be started. When someone asked the status of their order, they lady stated I don't know we are doing the best we can. My absolute favorite Starbucks to sit down and work for a few hours. It's always clean and I love the staff. Depending on the day and time, it can be busy with customers coming in, but the staff always handles it with friendly and speedy service. My favorite barista is Letty, who always greets me by name and has a smile on her face. She is friendly to all people who sit here for hours working, and checks on them to ensure they have everything they need. Occasionally she will bring out small cups of water for us.
