The staff is dedicated and innovative and love what they do - it's easy to tell because the kids love to come!

This review is long overdue! After a sudden onset of neck and shoulder pain, my sports medicine…read moredoctor referred me to physical therapy, and I am so incredibly glad I found West Bay Sports Medicine. Joey (Joseph Livelo) was my physical therapist, and he was absolutely amazing in guiding my healing journey. Beyond being highly knowledgeable, personable, and easy-going, Joey takes a wonderfully pragmatic approach to care. He designed a program with exercises that were easy for me to stick to, thoughtfully evolving the routine as I progressed to edge me closer to full recovery. I genuinely looked forward to our weekly sessions! It has now been four months since my last visit, and I still do a set of the exercises Joey gave me every single morning to maintain my physical well-being. Beyond the excellent care from Joey, every single person I interacted with at the West Bay Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation Center was super nice and welcoming. As an added bonus, the office has its own parking lot, making visits completely stress-free. If I ever need physical therapy again in the future, I would return to West Bay Sports Medicine in a heartbeat. I highly recommend them!

Understanding about my need to learn exercises to take with me on our upcoming roadtrip. Have some now and will get further direction upon my return. I appreciate their patience with me and my high maintenance needs. Also their knowledge and agreement with diagnosis by watching how I walk and move my legs/hips.

So, here's the deal…read more.. I'm not one of those Burlingame trophy wives who has tennis elbow - I hurt my back slinging 80 lb. bags of concrete and 92.5 lb. bags of lye in a lumberyard at the height of summer in Georgetown, Texas. Your tennis elbow can suck it. That said, these people are effective at what they do. They make you work. You feel like you've done something that will actually help your condition, whatever that may be. This is unlike all other physical therapists where they have you do a couple stretches and maybe six minutes on a treadmill and you never break a sweat. Which is good. Further, Marie (I can't remember her name), is awesome at suggesting new activities and mixing it up so it doesn't get boring. They give you the tools you need to get better. What is not good about STA? They seem to double and triple book their patients so much so that the least amount of time I've spent there is one and a half hours. The maximum amount of time I've spent there is three hours and five minutes. My treatment on average takes an hour forty-five to three hours. The employees run around and bust ass, but they never seem to catch up. As someone who is working full time and is trying to make appointments after work to find a place to live in the Bay Area, this doesn't work for me. I can do an hour and thirty minutes, but any longer and it just feels gratuitous. Also, if you are going to take the time to put thirty-seven signs that say "NO WHINING" all over the walls, take your own goddamn advice and stop bitching about how you have sooooo many patients and you aren't gonna make it to the ball game. We have lives too.
