We had had a disappointing engagement shoot with another photographer, so we approached Jon and Jess about splitting the hour between engagement shots and bridal photos. They were so easy to work with, and put myself and my camera-shy husband at ease - to the point where my hubs even enjoyed our engagement shoot! Jess and Jon went above and beyond on our wedding day - our guests said they didn't even notice them taking pictures during the ceremony (despite the awesome shots they took!), and they were so kind and down to earth. Our engagement/bridal shoot photos were given to us a couple of weeks afterwards, and they gave us our wedding photos six weeks after the wedding (both with sneak peaks within a few days!) I don't know where to begin so I'll start by saying we JUST finished our engagement photo shoot…read morewith Jamie. We got the full package (the most expensive one) that includes the following: 800-1000 images (all day), edited High res CD of images, engagement session, 8x10 coffee table album with 30 prints of your choice, and filler images photographers choice, 2- 7x7 coffee table albums with 10-20 prints of your choice for parents. I won't share the price as I imagine she'll increase them as her business grows (even at the time of booking I thought it was a steal!) but I would've been happy paying hundreds more based on our experience today. In case you don't have the time to read my novel, here are my main points: Jamie's communication with her clients is second to NONE (seriously, THE best wedding vendor I've worked with thus far). Her professionalism and honesty is what I love about her most. And ultimately, the reason we hired her is because she's a talented artist that has a way of making the most ordinary backdrops extraordinary. She flew in from CA this morning, got hit in her rental car on her way to meet us from the airport and still managed to make it with plenty of time to shoot the whole day. We had lunch and got to know her a bit before the shoot began. She's lovely, absolutely wonderful. And it was because she's so cool and laid back that we felt comfortable taking direction from her. We walked around Portland and followed her lead: she photographed us in front of random walls, parking lots and a record store and we completely trusted her. I kid you not the woman was on her knees, sitting on cement and walking into busy streets to get her shot, all while making us laugh and look good. She would shows us images from time to time and I was blown away. She followed us home for our second outfit and wanted to take photos of us there before venturing out into the city again. I never thought our home would be an appropriate location but it was. In fact, I'm looking forward to having these photos as a memento of our first home together. After one more outing into the city, we made our way to the gorge. I knew I wanted to shoot there as it's where my fiance and I got engaged. THIS is where I fell in love with Jamie even more. She literally climbed up wet rocks with fashionable boots on just to check out a spot to see if it would photograph well. Then she'd ask us to join her and we all made it up to the most perfect spot at Oneonta. It was magical, so fun and adventurous. I saw a few images of this shoot on her camera and I have a feeling the gorge shots will be my favorite. If I'm this elated over engagement photos, I'm sure I'll be over the moon with our wedding photos this summer. I cannot recommend her enough. Book her while you can, future brides!

The only reservation I had was the price. Videography services are expensive in general and going with Moving Pictures did mean I had to up my budget some. (Note that it is steep but SO worth every single penny. I have no regrets whatsoever and I believe you truly get what you pay for--in this case, a high quality, perfect product). We literally went through and watched every single clip we could find on their website, Facebook, Instagram and FELL IN LOVE. It wasn't until we watched a Feature Film for a couple that made us say YES. What's great about Moving Pictures is how well they worked with our photography team, ANIKO Productions, to capture all the right shots and angles. Exactly three months after our wedding day we are contacted by Emily, our film editor. She invites us to come into the studio for a special premiere screening of our feature film.
