Environment: The environment is not half bad, it's just a garage, not many parking spots. Car Service: The car service was average. Went there for an oil change and to check out if I have any issues with my car, since I have an engine check light. The professionalism wasn't there, wanted to give me some average oil even though my car requires best oil, which I personally had to tell them. Then told me nothing about the engine. Speed: Took 1.5/2 hours to get the oil that I wanted and change it. Value: Terrible, paid $220 for an oil change, where I can go and spend $250 at the professional shop, with all the original parts. Overall: Very disappointing, do not recommend. read more

Great place to bring your car for repairs as all technicians are experienced and care to explain in details & get the job done as fast as they can. After getting a quote from Matthew-Currie Ford (which was not free) for my air conditioning I balked at the $4,000 estimate & went to Starlight on Mango in Sarasota. Luckily for me, Eugene said he could do the repairs for $1,000. It is so refreshing to do business with an honest & capable company!! I waited to do this review to make sure the ac was still working. Originally very pleased with the service I was provided. Very friendly salesman and allowed me to have them work on my car with my own parts. However they installed my rear left control arm improperly which led to a bolt getting stuck and not being able to get an alignment done due to the °'s being thrown off by their "mistake". I called and they offered to fix it but this caused me extra issues and is not acceptable for a "reputable" business. I was also asked to "write a five star review because we have bad reviews" which I see as extremely unprofessional and secretive. Please look somewhere else as they are not doing jobs right and unfortunately you find out later when a part gets broken. Besides that they are kind, I would stay away from them and go to professionals who check their work after they "finish". read more

I had an A/C issue on my 2018 Volvo XC90. Called and spoke to "Mark" yesterday. He said just bring it in tomorrow and we'll do an FREE inspection. Went there today at 11:00am and Mark (great guy) got me right in. It was determined the Volvo was extremely low on freon, and everything else was OK. They re-charged the system and I was out the door 30 mins. later with the A/C blowing ice cold! $265.00, which is below our area average $ charge. First impression...a very honest and skilled operation. Highly recommend, and I'll be back to Starlight for any additional service needs. read more

First, I found Starlight on the Yelp app. Someone messages me about a time the following day, so I went in. They did not have me on their list. Even though they were a skeleton staff that day (day after 7/4) and a full appointment schedule, they gladly accommodated me for my oil change and tire rotation. Their front desk man, Yeven, was very polite, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to talk to. I think this is one smart young man and has a great future ahead of him. First, I'd like to say that this business is very responsive. We were communicating within a hour of my posting. Great team of guys. I took a car that I purchased, 2017 Toyota sienna, to have them look at it. The car is awesome, unfortunately, the Undercarriage not so hot. They were very good about finding any future concerns that I would need to take care of. One of the biggest concerns was the rust underneath at the rear of the vehicle. Some of it is rust that is to be expected, unfortunately, there was some severe rust in the rear that was unacceptable to me and my safety. Anyway, they brought this to my attention, and fortunately, I bought a car that has a 14-day return policy. Other positive notes, Eugene was so gracious. I needed a ride back to my home off of Clark. He drove me back to my home, while his team worked on the car for a couple hours. Then, when they were finished, he came back and picked me up. A small, upstart repair shop with great service. Stopped by almost at closing time to inquire about my 2007 car's A/C that wasn't working and see if they had an opening that week. Eugene met me and said pull the car in and the crew will do a free high/low pressure check! That's unheard of! Minutes later they diagnosed that there was coolant but compressor was bad. They ordered the part (did not try to up-sell me other components that a dealer wanted to). Full A/C system vacuum, R&R compressor and coolant was completed in hours, not days. Took my car in to get the AC looked at bc it was whistling and blowing warm after driving for a bit I told them I thought I needed a new compressor it took them over a week to look at it just to tell me there was nothing wrong I just needed a recharge and after finally getting my car back I got about 4 blocks and then my AC literally blew and when I brought it back he told me my compressor blew because of them "recharging" it and for me to bring it back Monday which was three days later. I took it to express oil and tires in Bradenton and the mechanic showed me my compressor was melted and by Monday it was fixed that's a place I recommend. Ps. My car battery died, despite being a new battery. They could have easily said I needed a new alternator, which is what I was expecting. I would not recommend!!!!! Took my car to get a quoted 140$ a/c job end up costing me a bit over 400$ they changed a valve and said fix a leak on a line that I've showed where it was the ac world for a day ! Left the car with the for over the weekend to get it fix, they called me and said that I need a new compressor but the compressor is new and last then a year old ! And he said that the leak was fixed so told them re-charge te ac and don't do anything else , left the shop this morning a the ac was working but not very cold got home and checked with the pressure and was really low so I put some more Freon on it ad the ac world super cold ! So the compressor is working fine and fine but few hours later stop working because the leak still there so they did not fix anything at all and I am 400+$ light on my pocket ! I would not recommend that shop to my worst enemy! read more

Put air in my tires as well. Made sure my whole car was in good shape before I left- they checked my struts which another place told me I "needed" to have replaced. I'm a female and I took my car In to get my brakes fixed and they said I needed new brake pads so I spent almost $600 which isn't my problem. Two weeks later when I was on my way to work my brakes were sounding scratchy but i didn't think much of it when I pulled into a park at work I heard something that's sounds like metal fall from car I don't know much about cars but I picked up the piece once the tow truck driver arrived and showed him and he said it was my BREAK PAD!
