It got so bad that my vehicle started smoking heavily and left me stranded on the side of the road. What makes this situation even worse is that I had a newborn baby with me when this happened. Being stuck on the roadside with a smoking vehicle and a newborn child was terrifying and completely unacceptable. My family's safety was put at risk because of what appears to have been poor service performed at this location. After I returned for help, I was told someone would contact me about the issue. No one ever called. No one followed up. No one checked to see if I was okay or if my vehicle was safe to drive. The lack of concern and customer service has been unbelievable. The situation became so serious that when I brought the vehicle near another Take 5 location, employees were hesitant to even touch it because of how badly the vehicle was overheating and smoking. That alone should tell you how serious this issue is. Based on my experience, I do not feel the technicians at this location are properly trained or knowledgeable enough to be working on customers' vehicles. A routine oil change should never result in a vehicle overheating, smoking, and leaving a customer stranded. Please stay away from this location. My experience has been stressful, dangerous, and frustrating from start to finish. Instead of taking responsibility and helping resolve the problem, they ignored the situation and left me dealing with the consequences on my own. I expect Take 5 to investigate this matter, contact me immediately, and take responsibility for the damages and hardship this situation has caused. I discovered Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers on SR 64 East in Bradenton. I spoke to the crew and found out it was full service after I told them about the tire problems. I needed a new battery since it sat in the garage (me thinking it was ready to go-NOT). Same new tire, purchased at Mavis, was consistently flat within 24 hours. Express Oil Change even offered to come out and give me a jump and take it in to fix the new tire. But I used AAA and they dropped it off. The knowledge of the crew is top notch! They noticed other things that were wrong and after our conversation and estimate, fixed those too! And again, at a GREAT PRICE! It is FULL SERVICE, not only oil change and tires. They did a nice job patching my tire for $33 but then decide to try and defraud me. Consumers Beware of Tires Plus. My battery was completely charged when I dropped my car off at the shop. Yet when Tires Plus called me, after my car tire patch was complete, Tires Plus also said my car battery was completely dead. And that I needed a new battery. Tires Plus then tired to sell me a new battery for $248. Remember my battery was completely charged at drop off at Tires Plus. I said no way to a new battery from Tires Plus. When I went to pick my car up, Tires Plus had completely drained my battery and provided a digital print out showing my battery was completely dead from Tires Plus draining my battery. Attached is the scam photo of my battery drained scan. As a drove my car, the battery recharged and I stopped Tires Plus from Defrauding me. I even went to a car battery store to have them check my battery after. The car battery store confirmed my battery was good and that Tires Plus drains customer's batteries in purpose to Defraud customers into having to buy a new battery. Consumers Beware of Tires Plus.

They had me bring my car right in during off hours and had Tyler (another wonderful human) fix my car. After hearing my story how I was cheated by the other co. Charged me only for parts.
