Jessica answered the million questions I had before I scheduled with her and made me feel really comfortable that I had made a good choice in photographer before even meeting her in person. She is incredibly sweet and in person definitely made me and my husband feel comfortable during the shoot (we aren't exactly picture type people and generally aren't about having our photos taken), so this was huge for us. It was an actually enjoyable experience. Scheduling was easy and so was communication. Turnaround on proofs and final photos were timely. Pricing is on point and I absolutely appreciate that she was one of the few photographers for maternity and newborn I could find that doesn't force you into a heinously expensive package with order minimums. I bring this up because it was a strong consideration for me when looking for a photographer. I didn't and still don't feel the need to spend $500 on printed photos when I really only want or need a 2-3 hardcopies for my mantle and like having the rest safe digitally and can share with far away family that way (via email/ social media). That said, if you want prints, Jessica can handle that! The photos turned out wonderful and will most decidedly not be being put in a drawer/ obscure folder to be forgotten. So of course I went to Yelp for suggestions and didn't see a lot of options for photographers in…read moreour area so I created a job request and waited for experts to reach out. I was super stressed because the only day all kids were home from college & adults were available was Thanksgiving & Black Friday. Big order, I know. So, we were contacted by several excellent experts but none were available for the limited availability we had until Whitemoose Photography reached out and they had a photographer named Kapri who was available to come on Black Friday. There was an additional charge for coming on a holiday/Black Friday which I gladly paid and was so excited to finally get some good pictures of everyone together. The shoot was fun and Kapri brought a good energy and fit in well with all of us. Prior to Kapri coming I asked if she had a green screen or something to create different backgrounds for the senior pictures. She did not have a green screen but she brought a white sheet as a backdrop and said so she would bring a white backdrop so she could insert different backgrounds for the pictures and insert some fun backgrounds to our daughter's photos. We booked her Senior Pictures for the same day with Kapri. I asked before she left fter the shoot when we could see the pictures and was surprised to find out we needed to wait 14 days. Just to see the proofs. I let her know we would be traveling Dec 12-24 so if we could get them before the trip it would be something fun we could look at on the plane. Kapri sent a text 3 days before the promised delivery date asking if I had had time to review the pictures. Her email messages she sent never came through to my email or an alternate gmail account address I gave her. Thank goodness for the Yelp app because it allows you to send & receive messages as well as links to the pictures. When we finally got to see the pictures disappointment was the consensus of everyone that was in the pictures that saw them. I contacted Kapri and let her know that with her awesome energy and how much fun we had during the photo shoot we were all disappointed and surprised with the final product. Also all the senior pictures had a white background instead of different city scapes like we discussed and no filters were applied to any pictures. I don't know a lot about photography but I have several retired friends that are hobbyists. I asked for the digital pictures so I could send them to our friends so they could "fix" the lighting or angle or whatever was wrong with the pictures. So Kapri & I went around and around because I couldn't tell her what I didn't like about the pictures. Finally as a last ditch effort I sent her some fun family pj photos from a Google search I liked. After Kapri saw my vision her true talents came through! Using AI she was able to turn a sterile unflattering family picture into a warm holiday fun photo with all of our loved ones together! (The ages of everyone ranged from 18 to 84). Kapri said she forgot about adding the background for senior pictures and when she was done with those they were "fire" according to the younger members of our group photo and our daughter loved being able to take pictures at home instead of booking senior photos through the school photographer. I learned It's super important to communicate the spirit or inspiration of the photos. (The cap and gown photo never happened irl). Kapri was able to CREATE the cap & gown photo using other photos she took & a picture of the color of the cap & gown! I'm still gobsmacked by what a difference AI makes!

I am so glad I was able to find her as her photos are beyond amazing and she's such a nice person to communicate with, even though it was just a mini session. I can only imagine the extra details and coordination she does for a full session. This year's session was $375 for 3 digital photos. Adding more digital were at an additional charge [of course]. Love that Santa was included! This year's holiday photo session took place outdoors in a Katy, wooded area. We were able to do a family session, kids session, and sessions with Santa. Santa was perfect! He was dressed in his finest red suit and had the perfect fluffy white beard. He intereacted with my boys as well, allowing them to tell him what they wanted for Christmas. Vi does beautiful work even in the low light conditions that the lounge offered us. She was friendly and accommodating. I wasn't sure what to get painted on my face, and of course I wanted to be unique. She asked what I like and then gave some great ideas of what she could paint based on my interests. (I was a pink cat! Cat because I told her I like cats, and i bet she chose hot pink because it matched my dress. See pictures.) She also had painted her own face and her arm, so you could see some of her work that she had expertly applied to herself. I was more than impressed at how quickly she worked. I don't think I was sitting there for more than 3 minutes. I imagine her speed really comes in handy for events with children when there are many that can't sit still and even more anxiously waiting in line. I was also very pleasantly surprised and how quickly the paint she uses dries. The paint dried fast and light, and didn't make my skin feel like it was cracking. On her card it says "I only use products made by Wolfe, Snazaroo, Kryolan and other professional face paints. All products are made from approved cosmetics ingredients for use on skin." I can confirm that statement to be true, because the paint she put on my face felt like makeup, and NOT at all like paint. It washed off just as easy as makeup does, too. I hadn't had my face painted since I was a kid, and I really enjoyed my experience with Vi! I highly recommend her for any event or party. Kids or adults will be dazzled at her skills!
