We went in to buy a car a few months back. We'd already been in and worked out the details, and when we got there, it was a mess. We worked with no less than 5 different people, and it took no less than 3 hours! Fast forward ~5 months, and I want to pay off my loan.... They told me when I bought the truck I could pay off the loan in 3 months; they said I had to get financing in order to obtain one of the rebates. I'm not sure if that statement they made was even legitimate. Well now I want to pay off my loan, and I called to make sure I could, and they said they thought it was a year minimum. They wanted me to remember who said 3 months, and that I could be charged by GM if I paid my loan off early! How would they even know when I paid my loan off? This dealership seems a little sketchy! Go in, and you'll see. Update: I changed review to 3 stars from 1 star after talking to GM, Rob. He's very helpful and reassuring, but I'm still skeptical as there is a SIX month term in the finance document and I do not want to pay an "acquisition" fee. Anyway, when he finally called back, he was helpful. I'm just surprised there seemed to be NOBODY else that could understand my question. I did not hear back from them (other than a confirmation concerning my appointment time) so I thought they could help me with a rental. Not happy with my last appointment (4-21-17 at 4:30) at this dealership at all. I had the sun visor replaced and they threw in a free wash. When I got my car back there was a huge dent on the drivers side door. As soon as I noticed (about 5 minutes after I left), I called the dealership spoke to Larry. He took photos and said he would need to speak to Eugene and the service manager about getting the dent fixed, I am still waiting on a call back. We was on our way to Orlando from Tennessee when we started having car trouble. We called the dealership and talked to tony and told him about our problem. He said bring it in as soon as you can. We was 1.5 hrs away still so we limped there to drop the car off to be fix. We asked if they had a shuttle or something to take us to our hotel and he said that he would just give us a loaner car so we could go start our vacation and he would give us a call when it was ready. A few hrs tony called me and said our car was ready and that chevrolet covered it under a extended warranty. I told him that we just got to universal studios he said no problem have fun And just keep the loaner till the morning. They really made a bad start to a vacation not so bad and we just cant thank them enough they really blew us away how great they was. read more

A HUGE thanks to the Starling team!! We had such an unexpectedly pleasant experience from the time we arrived until we left. We were greeted very cordially by the salesman; who asked relevant questions and exerted zero sales pressure. The salesman was very knowledgeable in all areas of his job and worked hard to show us what we were interested in (unlike so many other salespersons from other dealerships who attempt to stray you onto another totally unrelated vehicle). The salesman was very perceptive and knew exactly when my wife and I were ready to talk alone about the possibility of a purchase. The negotiation process was very fair to say the least; with no unnecessary tactics or numbers/payment/financing jargon. He simply asked us what we expected and stated they wanted to earn our business. We were so impressed with the atmosphere at Starling, we abandoned our scheduled trip to Orlando Toyota on that same morning. We found a brand new Buick Enclave on the lot we loved. The salesman and his manager were more than fair with our offer AND a well deserved trade in offer on my low mileage Chevrolet truck. It was a deal we could have only wished for....and with NO HASSLE....just great communication with a professional dealership. Joe and Eugene were professional and made sure they gave me their undivided attention. If they did not know the answer they did not make stuff up. In fact they had the mechanic come out of the garage and explain the details. Unlike other GM dealers they did not hesitate to give me a loaner car for my busy life. They have good integrity and excellent customer service. Their service wait area is smaller and older than some of the others I've visited but in all fairness, it is not brand new and you do get that local, family personal touch you might not get elsewhere. They advertise cars you call and they make an appointment make you go to dealership and the car is not there,.cause it was sent to auction. Their excuse is that the car is not qualified for selling. So why advertise? Why make and appointment? And Joseph the salesperson offered another car with repairs needed, but he would make a quote for parts and call me back. LOL. A guy called me to solve my bad credit. The guy rhat is in charge of repairs never got the requirement for the parts that joseph supouse to send me. Its just hilarious how a dealersip can have so many mistakes on a such big investment. The best part is that the car is still part of their inventory on line, and there is one person that's hired just to do the on line bussiness. They get 1 star for letting me test drive a truck. I explained to them multiple times that I only wanted to test drive the truck to see if it would fit my needs. It did. But I wasn't going to pay the Denali markup on a 2018 when I could get a 2016/2017 for $15k less. When I told them what I wanted my payment to be, the SALES MANAGER wadded up my soft credit check and THREW IT IN THE TRASH. While I was waiting, I found 2 trucks that were actually in my price range at another Starling dealership. The sales associate began bad mouthing them in all kinds of ways, even going so far as to say that they were "city folks and us country folks are much better to deal with, plus we sell the most trucks and SUV's..." All the while they had Spanish music playing in the show room the WHOLE TIME (no offense Spanish folks)... I'm sure not all the guys here are complete tool bags but they'll be lucky to ever get a dime out of me. read more

I've bought my last two cars at Starling. Unlike some dealers the sales people don't tackle you as soon as you get out of your car and hound you into looking at something you don't want. They've been able to work out no money down , even though my trade ins were in pretty rough shape. The service department is excellent and always gives you options. If I could give ZERO stars I Would!!! The radio of my Camaro was failing, I took it to the dealership to see what's going on... I had to leave my car for a whole day for them to diagnose the problem. Then next day , they stated that my radio isn't working and needed to be replaced, that would be a PRICE OF OVER $800.00 DOLLARS Well we say ok thank you but not thank you. We went online and bought the same radio from a GM online. That cost us $250, we saved money, and we call this dealer to see if they can unlock it. They were so upset that we didn't spend money on them and they didn't even want to try to check or see if they can do it. They angrily stated that because WE Didn't SPEND OVER $800 dollars, they can't even look at it. I called HEADQUARTERS and they told that they don't suppose to tell me something like that, that ANY dealership can help a customer. So they would look at it, then they make an appointment with an other dealer in OBT. That's why this dealership in our eyes SUCKS BIG TIME... read more

I bought a used car, within 30 days #4 coil and plug went bad, therefore they had to replace it because it was within their 30 day guarantee, not even 7 days goes by and Coil #5 and plug is bad! My question is why did this car pass inspection, or did the dealership just put a Band-Aid on the problem? Then a tire monitor censor also went out. They provided a bad key upon closing the deal knowing that it needed a new FOB or battery, they would not replace it, as I complained they told me that I needed to order a new key which is $260.00. Now only have made 1 payment, the vehicle is back in a mechanic shop, mind you its not their shop neither. They didn't work nor try to help with the problems the only service they will provide is my oil change! This was a horrible experience and will not advise or recommend this dealership to others. read more

2002 CORVETTE BATTERY ORDEAL AT STARLING!! On May 17, 2016, I arranged an appointment at Starling Chevrolet, 1001 E. HWY 192, St. Cloud, Florida, 34769 to have my 2002 Corvette battery checked. My appointment was at 2:30 pm. I requested that a load test be conducted on the battery and, if it failed, a re-placement battery should be installed. I believed and trusted that the Starling service depart-ment was competent and was able to carry out what I requested in a professional manner, but sometimes beliefs "go wanting" as was my experience in this case! I WAS NO WHERE NEAR BEING COMPLETELY SATISFIED as I will explain further, as follows: -Around 4:00 pm I was advised that my battery load test failed and was asked what I wanted to do. I stated that I had already told the service "advisor" Eugene Velazquez, how to pro- ceed (replace the battery). Thus, they changed the battery at a total cost to me of $187.15. My problem is that I had an appointment and it should not have taken over 1 1/2 hours to ac-complish the load test and new battery installation; 30 minutes should have been more than sufficient time. However, because of other subsequent problems (as I will explain) I question the competency of the Starling mechanic that did the work; consequently, I don't believe the battery failed the load test (if one was even done) and I probably didn't need a new battery! -After paying for my battery and departing the Starling dealership, after driving just a few blocks down the road, I noticed my hood was only partially latched closed. Someone at a Chevrolet dealership that doesn't even know how to properly close the hood of a car should not be allowed ANYWHERE NEAR ANY CAR! -Today on May 21st while working on my car at my residence in Kissimmee, I noticed that my new battery had been "thrown into its box" under the hood without being properly secured! Yes! The battery was basically loose such it would be "flopping around" while driving the car! While there is indeed a battery "hold down", the incompetent individual who worked on my car at Starling didn't complete the job and should be fired immediately! The extremely-negative experience that I have described here is the first (and last) one I intend to endure at Starling's St. Cloud dealership! I previously had a similar negative experience at Starling's dealership on Orange Blossom Trail in Kissimmee and, if necessary, can provide the gory details! Having been in customer service supporting commercial jet transport aircraft all over the world for over 40 years, I know all about how to provide credible service! At this point, the "ball is in Starling's court"; I am not at all pleased with this experience and DEMAND some resolution for this EXTREMELY-SHODDY service!! Dan P. read more

brought a 2007 chev. silverdalo on 6-20-15, it leaks when it rains, driver side floor board is soaking wet. called chris about this, was told there was nothing they would do. this truck should not leak like this. alot of money for a truck that leaks water on you. they do not stand behind the trucks they sell. never though t this dealership would rip people off like this. very unhappy. don't know how we are going to get this fixed!!!!! read more
