Tommy is the BEST dance teacher/ choreographer. He's talented, fun and genuinely wants you to do a great job and enjoy dancing. Tommy choreographed a swing dance for our wedding. At the first meeting, he saw what we could do, at the first lesson, he had choreographed our wedding swing dance that we could learn. At the end of every lesson, he recorded us doing what we learned, so we could practice at ho Our wedding is October 4, 2025. Tommy if you are reading this, we are practicing EVERY day, we are communicating and have stopped making faces when we mess up, we are adding style, and I actually have the final turn down! We fondly remember you when you would correct us by saying" What are you doing?" "Where are you going?" " OMG guys, I almost died!" You also had constructive criticism that helped us be our best. We miss you Tommy, and will go out on that dance floor to make you proud. Your loyal fans- Debbie & Dan

My husband and I were on the fence about taking dance lessons for our wedding. It was more than worth it! Tommy, our instructor, choreographed our 4-minute first dance and quickly whipped us up into shape. He offered really clear guidance and feedback, and we could feel ourselves improving week by week. The guests loved our dance, and even aside from the day of, my husband and I enjoyed spending time together each week amidst the craze of wedding planning. Thank you, Tommy!

A very long over due review for our dance instructor Ken and Starlite Ballroom dance studio. My wife now (fiancé at the time) and I decided to take dance lessons for our first dance on our wedding day, we wanted to surprise everyone. We thought we were going to learn a few dance moves and be in our merry ways but after talking with Ken, he reassured us that we are going to be doing a little more than a routine number. We are going to make the crowd go "Awww, how're we going to top that?". Guess what?!? We did it, our first dance was a show stopper!!! Ken is amazing, he's very knowledgeable, his vision/story for our routine from start to finish was a WOW and got some tearing up (the good tears).... We highly recommend Ken and Starlite ballroom. The whole team there are amazing. We plan on taking more dance lessons in the future after planning our honeymoon. Thank you so much Ken!

Very very very special shoutout to dance instructor, Tommy who choreographed our first dance. He catered to our skill level and put together THE MOST beautiful dance to a pretty challenging song. He brought forth our personalities while also showcasing our love! The guests absolutely loved it and I can still hear them hooting and hollering with every beautiful twirl. We will cherish that video forever. Tommy, you are the very best! If we could give you one million stars, we would. -Mary and Zach

Yes, it's great fitness and fun. But it has also honestly been such a light in my life on my darkest days and been so great for my mental health. She definitely isn't a great dancer, but she practices and tries her hardest. This is just a fun class for girls, not elite or comp. Things started off well but then she started leaving with tears in her eyes. She says that the teacher was leaving her out of the routine and so she was sitting around most of the time, not understanding why. No explanation. I urgently asked for a callback to understand the situation. No callback. I asked the teacher, Mr Garret, next week in person. He says she wasn't getting it but he would include her more. I asked him to speak to her about her so she could feel supported and understand and how she can improve. He says he didn't have time to talk to her and said he would next week. He never did. Not excusable. My daughter continued to come back with tears in her eyes. She says that 2 other girls were giggling and laughing when she made a mistake. She didn't want to make a fuss or quit before the performance. The performance came, and she fell behind in the rehearsal. She told me a few days later that everyone laughed at her. She just did box breathing to focus and did great in the performance. It was a proud moment for our family. *I then receive an email saying that she needs to go to the class where she is overaged OR just take the SAME class but on a different day to free up space for a better dance*. Reason: she wasn't dancing well enough; wasn't fitting in socially; the class was "full" and she's kicked out. Wait, she's still being invited to the same skill but on a different day despite being a bad dancer? I was shocked and disappointed. Instead of optimizing for the culture of the class, they instead optimize against the student for not fitting in. She's not a great dancer, but she's young, tried hard, and was trying to fit in even with tears in her eyes every day. We have dropped Purdance with no hesitation and she now uses her experience as her way of being able to hold her breath to perform amidst an unsupportive environment.

My girls really did like their time at Infinity for the most part. For younger children and for recreational dancers I think that it can't be beat - we tried other studios years ago and they never felt as comfortable in any as they did at Infinity. They had a lot of fun, especially in tap and jazz, and the recitals are wonderful to participate in and watch. Mine did end up doing some of the competitive level dancing and that is where I found issues. It's very cliquey, not so much with the children/teens, but with the teachers. There are some very talented dancers who have competed with Infinity for years and they definitely take precedence over other dancers. I understand why this happens, however, when you speak with other parents you certainly see that when dancers who are not in this particular group make a competitive team they: Are moved towards the back of the dance and ignored Are asked to stay in a lower level of a comp team for "more practice" until next year...then never moved up In my time there I witnessed many parents moving their children to different studios so that they were pushed to the next level and did not remain stagnant. It's disappointing to see your children trying so hard to advance themselves but not having the teachers push them or give them constructive criticism/feedback. I think this could be a great studio if the teachers and the owners were willing to really work with all students, and not just the "star" dancers. It's too late for mine but I hope they take this feedback to heart.

Updating my review based on Christy's response. Interesting…read morethat Christy can respond to Yelp reviews but will not call or email a parent. Christy's response is, quite frankly, laughable. No significant time was spent communicating with me. Christy has never once communicated with me! Neither Christy nor her staff (Michelle or Bre) stepped foot in the dance studio to assess the environment in person during the class either. Christy states that she is confident she and her team approached the matter with a "child development philosophy." Per Bre Chavez, on a phone call on 5/1, she stated that a child kissing another child forcefully on the mouth is normal behavior and she knows this because she has years of experience working with kids. Where in child development literature does it state this is normal behavior? Bre also told me during that same phone call that she did not want me to talk to the other parents about the situation. They are the ones that promised to have two teachers present ongoing to ensure no further issues occurred (and no, it was not a temporary agreement), and that agreement was rescinded because they don't have enough teachers after the newest teacher quit (I think she only lasted a month or two?). Christy or one of the other two could have stepped up and come to the class and they chose not to. Christy's solution to these issues was to kick my child out because she doesn't like that I wrote a poor review of the studio. I left an honest review of my experience and my opinion of how the situation was handled and she RETALIATED. That tells me all I need to know about her. So my caution to families is to enroll at your own risk. Know that Christy will not communicate directly with you and will retaliate against you for complaints you make about the studio.
