This place is amazing! It's seriously the best pizza I've ever had. My grandma, who is 73, agrees that it's the best pizza she's ever tasted, and I couldn't agree more! The waitress is incredibly attentive and friendly, creating a cozy and warm atmosphere while dining here. My family and I love it! We really wish this restaurant was more widespread. The food is absolutely to die for! On a different note, I usually don't eat the crust on pizzas, but I got so full from the pizza that I ended up eating the crust because it was so good! where do I start .... not good. I ordered a cheese and pepperoni pizza and asked for well done definitely they didn't understand the assignment. We like to support local one off places and don't like to be negative BUT. This place really needs a top to bottom Gordon Ramsey type update. The decor and the menu are very dated and while they may be happy with the amount of business they have, it could be so much more if they embraced some changes. I'll stick to the pizza here. The sauce is way too sweet and there was to much of it. We bought two cheese pizzas and actually threw out the entire second pizza and some of the first. Two adults and two children 12 and 13 agreed it was "TOO SWEET" and "NOT GOOD". The people seem nice and the prices are good. The Sicilian pizza was well-topped but it lacked garlic, which we look for in a white sauce pizza. The crust was also pretty soggy, like it had been fully cooked but then had gotten wet. The biggest complaint was that we ordered delivery and the pizza arrived almost an hour after the expected delivery time that was initially quoted to us. read more

I live out of state and I get this pizza every time I am back in town! The sauce is homemade, very sweet. The pizza is thin crust, but not too crispy. A change in ownership in the past few years means all ingredients are fresher. The restaurant is clean and casual, but not too busy and a nice environment for a family gathering. Their perogis are my parents favorites. Slightly expensive but their website has coupons and deals. They will even premake your pizza so you can take it home and bake it yourself later! read more

If you have never had a Starlite pizza, you are in for a surprise. If you judge pizza on how thick they are, then you might as well just keep on going. This is thin crust at it's best. The sauce is a more sweet sauce than you are probably use to. But it works. Add a little grease on the top and it's perfect. Unbelievable. This was the first and last time here for me. Ordered the stromboli, comes with 3 toppings and cheese, or so they say. There were virtually no toppings on half of the sandwich, sausage was not present on any of it. Pretty much bread and sauce with a little bit of cheese. Now things happen, so you give them a chance to fix it. The waitress came back after I had mentioned the issues and merely said "are you ready for a box?" I said I would actually like some toppings for this sandwich, she went to the kitchen and an older lady came out to defend this creation saying she made it herself, and the toppings go to one side when she folds it over, then simply walked away. No solution was offered. This probably would've been good if fixed, the sauce was tasty, but the refusal and attitude we received was totally unjustified. Never will return. read more

I tried Starlite's lasagna for the first time tonight. It is homemade and very rich, with fresh ingredients and a generous layer of mozzerella on top. Best pizza in the area! I love the thin crust and sweet sauce. Dave is a super nice guy. We always call in our order ahead of time to cut down on the wait in store. We have small kids and they get restless. This place does have toys for kids to play with. Honestly, I just can't wait for the pizza. My fiancé and I are creatures of habit and decided tonight we would go beyond our normal Jimmy Johns and try something local. After a 20 minute drive across town we were not greeted as we walked in the door. Found our seats and waited about 5 minutes before we were acknowledged. Once acknowledged we waited a few more minutes until we were given menu's. We started to wonder if we had to order at the counter.. Once our waitress finally came to our table we ordered right away. Once she took our order it took several minutes, as she helped to go customers, to get our waters and my salad. We ordered a breadstick appetizer which was okay at best. The sticks were somewhat dry. They did however come out promptly. While waiting for our pizza several other tables came and ordered. One couple in particular came about 20 minutes after we ordered and received their pie before us. To add to the pain of waiting they accidentally delivered the couples pizza to us. When we saw it wasn't ours they took it and gave it to the rightful owner. This was very frustrating because our pizza was simple 1/2 cheese, 1/2 mushroom. What the heck was taking so long?! At this point the woman (not our waitress) who delivered the pizza was on a mission to find out what happened to ours. While she was looking we heard her tell our waitress she needed to tell us what was going on. To which our original waitress said okay i will and never came to tell us. After 5 more minutes of watching her wait on other people I got up to ask what was going on with our pizza. According to our waitress she put our order on the wrong side of the line. She said sorry but didn't seem very genuine in her apology. I'm somewhat confused on how we got our breadsticks and my salad okay but the pizza never came. I realize businesses make mistakes and that we're all human and waitresses make mistakes but the fact it took us getting up ourselves to ask about it was inexcusable. If a waitress makes a mistake she should at least extend the courtesy to her customers that they are working to correct it. We were there an HOUR before we got our pizza. She did end up giving us 1/2 off our pizza and my side salad for free which I feel was appropriate after our hour long wait. The pizza itself was sweet and didn't appear to have fresh ingredients. The mushrooms were canned. I personally prefer fresh ingredients on my pizza so this was definitely a turn off for me. Overall I would try Starlite one more time because I understand people and businesses have off nights. I don't anticipate we will return in the near future. Maybe one day. read more

First time in awhile here. No greeting. Over 5 minutes for drinks. Husband ordered Budweiser and me a bud light. Server brought bud light for him. Seldom came back so he never said anything. I don't know what they did to the crust of there pizza but it ruined it. Almost taste like remade or frozen. The sweet sauce and toppings were the same but couldn't get past the crust. First the initial phone call to order pizza, was greeted with a hello such as what you'd get when you dial the wrong number. My wife and I hadn't had their pizza in a few years so we figured why not. Ordered a large with pepperoni and sausage, was told be about 25 min for pickup. Upon arriving was told that my order would be a little bit longer still not a problem. Waited in their clean and nostalgic dining area. My name was called, order was ready opened the box to see that the pizza while hot and full of pepperoni didn't live up to what I would think was adequate for sausage toppings. I asked the girl behind the counter about it and was told that's how it's always been (not how I remembered it), so after paying almost $20 dollars for one large 1 and 1/16 topping pizza I left. 3 1/2 stars for this place at the time of this review is pretty generous. I'm not in the habit of blindly trusting reviews on yelp, but rather using them as guidance for places I should eat and places I should be hesitant about. In the end I like to take the time to shake a place down for myself. I tried starlight and I will say it was underwhelming. For a hole in the wall Italian joint I was expecting more. Great Pizza! We get take out occasionally but find it taste better fresh at the restaurant. If you dine in make sure you try some of the garlic pepper on your pizza. The negative is the atmosphere is a little dingy and has a bunch of arcade games that don't work. The positive is that there is plenty of seating for multiple large groups and area for kids to play. After a busy Friday afternoon, my wife and I decided to try out Starlite Pizza in Granger, IN at 7:30 p.m. Neither of us had ever been to this place, even though we live just a few miles away. We were greeted by a busy waitress who said she would be with us shortly, while we waited at the entrance to be seated. This restaurant was about 1/4 full of seated customers. There was a cashier about 35 feet away from us and yelled, "You can just grab a seat anywhere!". So we took a booth closer to the checkout counter. We waited another 10 minutes for a waitress to take our drink orders. About 5 minutes later she finally arrived with our drinks and took our food order. My wife ordered the "Philly" sandwich with a side of "Chippers". I ordered the "Italian Sausage" sandwich with a side of "Chippers". This restaurant was not busy with seated customers but there were quite a few carry-out order customers flowing in/out while we waited for our order to be filled. Almost 30 minutes passed before we finally got our food order. My wife said that her sandwich tasted okay but she did not like the "Chippers". They tasted like deep fried cardboard (no flavor). My sandwich was a disaster. It contained sliced up sausage links (not even close to Italian sausage) covered with sugar sweet tomato sauce and very bland cheese coating. I must admit that the only part of this sandwich that tasted okay was the toasted BUN!! I had to agree with my wife that the "Chippers" were just terrible also. We told the waitress how disappointed we were with the food. She notified (I guess, the store manager) who came over and immediately asked, "OK, What seems to be the problem?" I felt that was a rude way to introduce herself and show a concern about her customers. I explained that "my sandwich" was the worse Italian Sausage sandwich that I ever tasted and it certainly was not Italian Sausage. AND their deep fried "Chippers" were terrible. She asked me if I ever tried their Starlite pizza. I told her, "We have never been to this restaurant before and I certainly would not want to try their pizza, since I was completely unhappy with the meal that we were just served." She told us that they would not charge us anything for the meal and give us a free coupon to try their pizza the next time we stop in. I told her that we were not interested in coming back to Starlite Pizza for any reason. I only ate about 1/3 of the sandwich and just a few of their "Chippers".
