Used car purchase left me without an expensive spare key fob. Having bought a new fob for cheap I needed someone to program it to my cars code. I found Glenn via Yelp, with 69 straight 5's, so I called him. I went to his home/business and he proceeded to give me a lesson in how my car keys work, and he checked every single thing that could be a problem for me later. The emergency metal key would not work in the one manual lock, so he loosened up the lock and made a minor improvement to the key so it would work correctly. Then he checked my car for how many keys had been programed to my car. Being a used rental car, there were 4 keys in the world that could be used to open my car. He wiped old key code out, provided a new code, re-programed my key and programed my new key. Then he ground the new metal key and tested it before telling me the total cost for this large amount of work. Glen charged much less than anyone else would charge and he provided excellent technical knowledge, skill, and care for the customer. I called Start With Me Keys when I thought all hope was lost on getting 2002 3.5RL Acura re-keyed for less then $500. My Acura is the only year they made a difficult computer to program a chip key to requiring the cars computer system either be replaced or flashed(wiped clear). He did it for under $200, came to me, picked me up at me house, and drove me to my car and got my car re-keyed in under an hour. Also upon Glen's arrival I was having a dispute with the City of Sacramento who was shutting off water service to my home and I was in the midst of a very heated debate with the City's water board supervisor having choice words and crying. Most people would have seen the situation and drove off, but Glen patiently waited for me to finish and did not try to make me feel worse about what was going on. He even let me use his lighter when we got to my car so I could smoke because he could see I was very upset. He treated me like I was his sister and was even giving me suggestions on things I could do for my water situation. What a great guy!!! Called around getting quotes for having a transponder key duplicated for our Toyota Highlander. Of course the dealer cost was at least $200.00, they couldn't even give me a solid number over the phone. Tried a couple other locksmiths, they were all around $150 and up. Oh, my, gosh!!!! Glenn is the best of the best! I sent him a message on yelp yesterday, requesting a quote for a key fob replacement for my truck. Because the one I have fell apart! He responded in minutes, was professional and kind, made arrangements to fit me in to his schedule today. Today, we made plans to meet at my job after I finished work. When I got out to my vehicle, he was already there! He not only created two new key fobs for me, he also made me two new door keys, he taught me how to use my remote start, how to use my key fob to start my vehicle if the battery is dead, he found the door key code for me and showed me how to use it. I just would like to say that Glen is such a professional individual. He was so polite, friendly, and he explained the process in changing my daughter's car key ignition. So finally nice enough weather to take my boat out ..well lost the key so after many many locksmith saying its it's to old or pain and dont want to deal with it I called glenn he came out on memorial day of all days and got it to work not only made the key but he had to file the good old fashion way took him not very long he even gave a key chain also needed a new key for my truck lock box he did that as well ..the customer service was outstanding the price was beyond fair I mean after all today is a holiday didnt have to wait even a hour ..I cannot reccomend this locksmith enough . read more
