Her…read moreparents hoped she would like it because it was very reasonably priced for Milpitas residents ($150 for 5 full days, can't beat that). Don't want to be unfair to this place since our experience was only for 1 week. And I'm comparing it to other camps that were more expensive. In the other camps, my niece got to know one or two counselors really quickly and bondedwith them and would talk nonstop about them. In this camp, it was babysitting, not a 'camp' feeling and the employees sort of hung out watching the kids but not participating or engaging the kids. They did not appear to have the maturity or job training that I've seen at other camps. On the good side, they played a lot of games outdoors and it included swimming at the Community Center. And, the price is right. I guess it's still a much needed inexpensive babysitting option for working parents.

The regrettable thing is that it seems they don't have the kids play any sports (aside from perhaps dodgeball), which seems ironic as it was held at a Sports Center. Most activities seem to be indoor, and it feels like it was mostly operated like a daycare center, with numerous free play periods, interspersed with occasional art activities. It should also be noted that the majority of participants were girls, and the activities probably reflected this. This was definitely not a great fit for my boy.

It's the night before the party and Cosmic Chris texts me at 10pm to go over details??? WHAT?!?! I'm in bed after 3 long days of cleaning and prepping for said party!! The texts got pretty ugly with Cosmic Chris dictating to me what time he'd be AT MY HOME instead of what time I paid him to show up. I'm beyond furious and now don't know if this company will even show up, what type of attitude I'll have to deal with or how my granddaughter will be treated. I've already reached out to the lady I booked with...so hoping this won't be an issue...but I'm just flabbergasted at how this even got here with Cosmic Chris!!!

The booking process was seamless, I filled out the online form and had a confirmation within 1-2 days. Our Mad Scientist, Jordan (Plazma Petey), contacted me the day before to nail down the final logistics, which really put my mind at ease. On the day of the party, he arrived 30 minutes early to set up and was ready to go right on time. I have never seen a group of 1st grade boys so captivated! Jordan was high energy, charismatic, and had them laughing, shouting out answers, and asking great questions the entire time. Even the parents were leaning in and enjoying the show. To top it off, the kids got to make magic dough to take home. I had so many parents ask where I found them because they were so impressed. Highly recommend Mad Science and specifically Jordan!

Recently, she had a performance in Mountain View, and I was blown away by how much she'd learned in such a short time! I highly recommend Mrs. Yaoyao - she's an incredibly patient and experienced teacher who genuinely cares about her students. This could be the foundation of her musical growth. Would definitely recommend Beyrressa Music School to others!

My 6-year-old, started off just wanting to "play" and definitely wasn't a fan of the word "practice." But Mrs. Yaoyao has this magic touch--she's shown him that a little hard work actually makes playing more fun. He's become so much more patient, and he's already rocked two recitals with the other kids! What's really cool is how she runs the group classes. She keeps them super engaging and fun for the kids, but they're actually learning the "real" stuff too, like solid technique and music theory, which I also refreshed my music knowledge every time. The school is also a total lifesaver for busy schedules. They have tons of afternoon and weekend slots, and if we ever can't make it, Mrs. Yaoyao is awesome enough to send over a recording so he doesn't miss a beat. They also have everything there--1-on-1 piano, drums, violin, you name it. If you're looking for a spot where your kid will actually want to learn in the North San Jose area, this is it!
