They were nice enough to squeeze me in since I decided in the middle of the night I needed to get my nails done, so did not have a chance to make an appointment. Pedicures please beware. Absolutely the most painful pedicure I have ever had. Technician made both of my big toes bleed, even after I said "that hurts" the first time. The shop didn't make me pay because I was crying due to how badly my toes hurt. And thank goodness, because after getting home to inspect my feet, I'm concerned for infection and ingrown toenails. This review doesn't even cover how poorly the nails are shaped - the finished product has jagged edges and bloody nail beds. I didn't not have any polish applied by choice. read more

Updated Oct 2018- we continue to be regular customers. My husband gets a pedicure with Ting and his feet have never been better. They will be moving soon to a brand new location, and we will are so excited for them. They work tremendously hard to make every customer experience wonderful. Having my mani/pedi with them is the highlight of every 2 weeks. We absolutely love Lisa and Ting!! We have been regular customers since we moved here in June, and now go faithfully every two weeks. Ting usually does my pedicure and Lisa my gel manicure. She does a beautiful job on French manicures!!! she is very talented... Ting is kind, gentle, and does a perfect job on my feet and toes. The salon is spotless and sunny, the tools sterilized, and the skin products are top notch. I'd been going to a local salon for a couple of years. They were nice and had always done a good job on my nails. But in the last few months I was usually less than satisfied with how they looked when I left. I'd try to explain what my concerns were before they started, but I felt they weren't really listening and sometimes it felt like they were kind of rushing me through to get on to the next client. It was really frustrating. If I made an appointment, I was told "They'd be right with me" when I showed up... but I'd still always have to wait for more than 15 minutes to get a chair. I really hated the idea of trying to find another salon, but my last gel manicure was, (to my standards), pretty bad. I finally got tired of paying a lot of money to have my nails look "just okay" or worse when I left. Here's the good news... I'm so happy I finally took the time to find another salon! The owner of STARZ NAIL & SPA took time to really listen to the reasons why I was so unhappy with how my nails looked. And she took more time to explain to me exactly what my nail tech would have to do to get and keep them looking great again. I watched carefully while she (Gladys), did my gel manicure and was pleasantly surprised to find out they don't charge extra to include cleaning up your cuticles. (Trimming cuticles always used to be included with a good manicure.) She fixed every issue I had with how my nails had looked. When I left, my nails looked SO beautiful that even my husband commented on how pretty they were. I couldn't be more happy. The vibe there is relaxing and I loved not feeling so rushed. I really appreciate good customer service skills... and that includes taking the time to find out exactly what a customer wants! That's hard to find these days. I have driven past Starz for a while and finally went in last summer when my best friend was visiting from out of town to get pedicures. We both agreed that these were the best pedicures we'd ever gotten. There are only two people who work there, so call ahead and make an appointment if you don't have time to wait. In addition to the great customer service (I've been back 5 times since), I really love the fact that they take the time to empty and wash the filter in the pedicure chair between every client! I had never thought about it before, but it is so gross to think of all the other dead skin and gunk from other customers being in the filter at other salons. The whole time I'm laughing and having a blast while getting pampered with the best nails in town. I never did gels until I came here but now I'm addicted. They were a very good salon, the prices were a little high, $35.00 for shallac/gelish. If the prices were more reasonable I would defiantly go back. I normally pay 25.00 with a 5.00 tip. They don't do any nail extensions, and no acrylic. So if you have an allergy this would be a great place for you. They also prefer appt to walk ins because there are only 2 of them.
