I vintage dress I wanted the arm holes made larger. Again, she marked these with pins. I dropped these off in the middle of May. I am just picking them up today. After multiple attempts to pick them up twice, nothing had been done to either garment even though they said they were done. Today I picked up my vintage dress where I only wanted the sleeves made larger. The dress is now ruined. Because they shortened the straps and made the arm holes larger so now the front of the dress fits incorrectly. Multiple times I had to go back to try to get my garments fixed. Each time the woman would laugh, giggle and make no attempt to make this right. Each alteration was $53. I felt this was high, but I had always heard. They did great work and it would be worth it. Each time I went in I told them how disappointed I was and how frustrated I was because I missed wearing the dress to one function and now I can't use it at all. There's no offer for a refund or an expedited service. I will never use this company again. The woman who helped me was so nice in the beginning and I felt very comfortable dropping my items off. The minute thing started to go wrong. The customer service was gone. Sina wasted $106 and can only use one of the items.

She was trying to argue that it was written on the receipt. Then I showed her the original receipt I had and it did not have the drawing or the written indication of sleeve. - they added the incorrect details and didn't call me to confirm - the lady didn't want to own up to their error and lied to my face that I agreed to what was written on the receipt - when realizing it was their error and I told her to admit to the error, her response was "whatever" Beware of the terrible service!

I learned that Local Tailor is two sisters, Inna and Christina, who "softly" opened their shop last month after leaving Ukraine three years ago. I also learned that Inna has more than 30 years of experience in tailoring back in Ukraine. I brought in 4 dresses and she was able to help me hem the bottom of all 4 for a very good price! She also helped with a very intricate dress where she sewed in bra pads, covered some of the cleavage area so it wasn't see through and hemmed the bottom which had multiple layers with ruffles and were different lengths! I was very impressed on how the dress turned out. Another seamstress I took the dress to was just going to cut off the bottom entirely and make it one length which takes all the fun away from the dress! She also helped me fix a dress that I had brought to another alterations place before but the lady would not help me fix the chest area. The Creative Seamstress was able to do it with no problem even though the material was tricky. And like it says in her title she is very creative. For example, (for my intricate dress) I was gonna have her take out some of the lace near the cleavage area but she suggested to put he extra material that she was going to hem off undee the lace instead so that the other lace around would not pull and possibly tear in the future. Like I have stated, best price I could ask for! She did all 4 dresses for around $100 and gave me a 10% discount for the grand opening. All dresses were multiple layers with two that were a hard fabric to sew. The place is small but good enough to get all the work done. The changing area is small and doesn't have hooks but there is a chair to place your items. You can also hang stuff on the rail where the curtain is, it's just that I'm short and cannot reach. I will definitely recommend this place and come back when I need clothing alterations!
