Bridgette, the owner, is a painter and career aesthetician, so it's understandable why she uses high quality products (like Weleda) and is ultra precise on the brows. I've gone 5 times now. I like the thick and natural look and she's always tailored to that, so for me, only cutting/trimming and plucking, no wax (since I have sensitive skin) and she tints them darker brown for me. I really don't need to say more. however, after being a client of bridgette's for ten years that now travels from reno quarterly for touch-ups, she really does deserve more of a write-up. to clarify, Bridgette works solo out of her tiny cow hollow studio doing nothing but brows all day, with the exception of an occasional lip wax. for an extra charge, she offers a tweeze-only service for retin-a users that wish to keep their tender brow skin. YES, $55 seems like a steep price to pay. but after years of bringing my caterpillars to shops that charged $20 and also happened to do nails, facials, etc. I found that I only needed to see her every few months, as long as I was diligent with home maintenance. there were a few times when my budget didn't allow me to see her, but my biggest mistake was going to other so-called specialists. Bridgette really does more than wax and tweeze here and there - she waxes, tweezes, prunes, massages, and shapes them according to what fits your face and what is in season. do yourself a favor and grow them out for a little bit, and let Bridgette work her magic. it really will change your life..er FACE for the better. read more

Bridgette is the best. Period. I started going to her about a year ago, right before my wedding, as she was recommended by my makeup artist. I had decent brows to begin with and really never got them done professionally until my wedding. I know that sounds insane (and if you knew how high maintenance & anal I am about every other beauty routine, you really wouldn't believe me), but I have the kind of thin brows that don't really need much upkeep other than tweezing the occasional stray hair now and again. Bridgette Slattery is amazing at what she does. I feel like my eye brows are totally safe in her hands. With her relaxing facial massages and soothing music its quite an experience. She uses natural bees wax, and also uses tinting for your eyebrows to make them look extra steller. I would recommend her to anyone i have never heard of anyone complaining coming out of her shop. She does a great job on the brows in a really unconventional way. It's a lot of trimming and what feels like brushing with her fingers (I was so confused about what was happening for most of the appointment, but my brows looked good after so I guess it doesn't really matter). It takes a long time, so if you're hoping to get your brows done in 10-15 mins, this may not be the best option. I think my appointment took around 45 mins. She asked me if I was using acne medicine like five different times throughout the appointment, I was not sure if she forgot my answer or what. read more

intrigued that bridgette was supposedly the go to brow spot of socialites, i decided to give her a try. after all, i've already checked out lana kessel, eyebrows anon, mad about brows & eyebrows to die for... but have yet to find that anastasia of sf. was expecting a foofy salon but it wasn't at all. was greeted by the scent of lavender. there were some chocolates in a basket, quality magazines & then a tiny room of woodblock print art. however, it was well hidden... no signs, no indications at all that any hair removal was in the works. it felt very exclusive indeed, like a secret society of eyebrow enthusiasts. it was the most i've ever paid for brows (almost as much as a regular haircut!) but worth it. bridgette extracted all the tiny mutant hair follicles that for the longest time i believed were just ingrowns. the brows themselves were pretty good. it doesn't matter the other girls possess more marketing prowess & hence, more reviews... the proof is in the pudding. won't hesitate to come back again. maybe i'll take up on the offer for tinting next time. pricey, but... you can always put your hair in a ponytail but you can't hide the frames of the windows to your soul! read more
