Stay away from these scummy A-holes! I stopped to look at a older, small, inexpensive (But way overpriced) Dodge RV I was handed the keys by an old lady at a desk and told "a lady just had service work to it and traded it on a larger unit" They said she had the water pump replaced and it could have been and possibly the radiator but it really needed head gaskets and the work that was done was Years ago! And they know it! Scum Bag Scammers. They are looking for someone that doesn't know any better. When I handed the keys back to the old lady at the desk I said "It's really a little too rough for me" and she immediately cut me off and said "Okay Bye!" So I continued with "Well, you might also want to know it needs head gaskets" and she followed with "Why do you think that?" Then before I could say anything more she yells at her husband across the room "He says it needs head gaskets!" His response was "You know head gaskets are only about $500" I said "They are a horrible job on a V8 van" and walked out. (I'm a trained 30+ year veteran automotive mechanic.) It's rusty, gross inside and out, missing parts on the outside and interior, they claimed everything inside works but I sure wouldn't trust them. Plus to top it off, I was SO beside myself by how dismissive and rude they were that I forgot to mention the tires are SO rotten if anyone was to drive it very far a tire or two WILL FAIL and rollover or send someone down a mountain side to their DEATH. These are shady Ass People with a gross attitude... Move on from this Sh*t Hole! Pardon my French but they Suck. read more

I really wanted to retract my previous comment but after our last contact I found that when you replaced the awning (which I appreciate, as you should have) you damaged the arm and replaced it with out even letting me know what was going on. Everyone was super nice and the used trailer I purchased was very clean, although after it was parking at our house and sitting with no airflow, it reeked of cigarette smoke. When I picked the trailer up at State 48 the toy hauler ramp and main door was wide open so the trailer was well aired out and the smell was unnoticeable. We have spent hours cleaning every inch of it trying to get rid of the smell with minimal success. My son has asthma, the smell is not good for him, I wish they would have disclosed this. read more

If there was a lower rating, I'd use it. Bought a 2021 winnebago spyder. 1. Asked them several operational questions: A. Is the spare good? (It was wrong size). B. Please empty the tanks. ( black was 40% full in my driveway and shoes) C. Does gas station work? ( was plumbed wrong and tank was capped off). D. Equalizer hitch was mis-installed.(friction element was over tightened, no other bolts were torqued) E. Generator fuel line was cracked. F. Lugnuts were not torqued to spec. I have no idea why anyone would buy, service or have them perform any services on any RV. I would give them a zero if I could. Our experience was as bad as anyone could imagine. We bought a used 2019 Grand Design RV. Prior to buying it we had a detailed inspection done. There were some issues that had to be corrected but unbeknownst to us we had a bent axle. We were informed by a State 48 RV employee that if we fixed one thing only it would be the replacement of that axle, We told then to proceed with the replacement. After picking it up we going to take a short trip to christian the RV. Less than a 50 miles down the road a rim and tire sheared off the hub. It was a catastrophic event. We narrowly missed all 8 lanes of on-coming traffic coming and going traffic with the tire and rim at 65 MPH!!!! This happened on a Friday afternoon and we were fortunate to limp the RV off the interstate and get it fixed at a cost of 1100.00 dollars. When I took the RV back to them they denied any responsibility for the work they performed and said it was my fault!!! They said I rode the brakes and they over-heated and caused the issue. REALLY!!! I have pull all kinds of trailers and never had this issue. I took the hub and photos to over 10 dealerships and brake shops and they ALL SAID the lug nuts were either to loose or too tight. Guess what?? State 48 RV said they had tightened the lugs a 120 LBS. That is 20 LBS over the normal adjustment. Dave the owner said that they had no responsibility for it. He said there was brake dust in the drums. Anyone with any intelligence would know that new brakes need time to seat and in the process they run warmer than normal. All brake shops have said that. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESES SHYSTERS. As you can see the lug bolts were sheared at the housing of the hub. That is indicative of over torquing the nuts! MORE to come. read more

We made a long distance purchase of a 2013 Hurricane from Tom Schell and had an excellent experience! Tom did an extensive walk-through of the vehicle with me via FaceTime, and answered more questions during number of additional phone calls. We made a very acceptable deal and flew to Phoenix to pick up the vehicle. When we arrived, Tom's rv techs were just finishing a few minor delivery items. They did a very thorough delivery walkthrough and went above and beyond to fill the propane and fuel tanks, as they knew we were immediately leaving for our drive back to Montana. The next morning, 3 hours down the road, the rv wouldn't start. We called Tom for help troubleshooting the problem but nothing he suggested worked. We finally found a mobile mechanic who diagnosed and replaced a faulty starter and relay. We checked in with Tom when we got back on the road and he volunteered to reimburse us for the parts and labor! We are very happy with the rv and extremely happy with the excellent customer service! read more

Imagine how an RV shop usually runs: you call with a problem, they tell you to bring it in in 4 weeks, they keep it for 4 months, and they charge you $4k. This place is totally the opposite. Small shop, 4 bays. A bearing fell out of my slideout, they said bring it in. The guy started working right away, David suggested I check out the BBQ place next door (ALWAYS CHECK OUT THE BBQ PLACE NEXT DOOR). By the time I ate lunch, they were done and the bill was under $100. Best RV repair place I've ever been to. read more

Great buying experience from our initial visit with sales to financing to delivery to follow up ensuring everything was operating correctly. Entire staff was receptive to our questions and helped us with our trade in to finding the right fit 5th wheel. Tom, the finance officer, was professional as well as very personable and friendly. It wasn't all numbers and legal docs for Tom ; as we sat there across from him and actually got to know each other. We experienced a problem with the refrigerator after we got the unit to our park. They directed us to their service technician Mikey who walked us through a reset procedure that got the frig working. He even gave us a follow up call the next day which was Easter Sunday, to ensure everything was working correctly! They were even able to get the entrance stairs replaced under warranty when we discovered a missing screw! Now I call that superb customer service, something that's in short supply these days!
