First, do not confuse them with the State Auto Tow Place- COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. These guys are next door and there a completely SEPARATE BUSINESS. The quick story is that these guys did a really HUGE job on my car and finished in 48 hours- while keeping me at the minimum cost, saving me probably 500 to 1000 dollars. Talented mechanic that worked hard to be careful and minimized extra costs during the process. They showed me the work that they had to do and explained everything. They turned a potential nightmare into an easy process. The longer version is this: My Brakelines blew and I was in the city alone and had to find a place close by that would fix my car ASAP. I called around to the places and not only did I get lots of attitude, but I also got responses like "we can't even look at that today and don't know when we will be able to." But when I called Steve at State Auto Body (again- not state auto tow) not only did he comfort me and calm me down (I was a WRECK), but he had me go to them immediately and put my car on the lift to diagnose the problem. He then searched for all the parts I needed at the most inexpensive costs and his mechanic worked day and night to get my car done within two days! Steve then not only did calls to keep in touch with me during the process, but also did follow-up calls to make sure that everything was OK and I was happy with the work. I know this is a long review but I'm telling you these guys are the truth. I own a 2010 Subaru Legacy that was hit directly on the rear door of the passanger side this past winter. The door was replaced at an affordable price and within a timely manner. The car appeared in better shape than when I initially dropped it off for repairs. The shop took my car to be detailed, both the interior and exterior of my vehicle. The tires were even shined. In my opinion the shop really went above and beyond replacing and blending the paint for my rear door damage. The guys down at State Auto Body really care about their customers and the well being of their vehicles both inside and out. They do not penny pinch when it comes to quality service and customer satisfaction. What service! I have dealt with numerous auto body shops (unfortunately) and have never, ever received quality or service like I did from State Auto Body. As a young woman, it has always been a struggle to know who I can trust when it comes to cars. Owner, Steve, took care of everything from start to finish and even helped when the other driver's insurance company gave me a difficult time. He coordinated a rental that was sitting there and waiting for me when I dropped my car off. It was effortless (which was a welcomed relief after the stress of an accident). I got in a car accident and went to State auto body for repairs. it was the best decision I ever made about my car. I went and spoke to "Mario" and felt a big weight lifted off my shoulders. I did absolutely nothing. I left my car with Mario and give him the insurance information he need. He did all the calling and work that was necessary. He got someone from the other insurance to go to his shop to look at my car, and I had a rental days later while my car was being fix. I pick up my car few weeks later and was amazingly pleased. I got rear-ended and it was the worst possible time. I had a newborn at home and I didn't know what I was going to do. A trusted friend said that they knew a guy. I never thought being in a car accident could ever be stress free or positive but that was my experience. The entire metal along the left side under the doors had been damaged and became completely rusted In order to do this extensive repair also required 2 brand new doors. We selected State Auto Body because of its high customer reviews and because it is a pre-authorized body shop for our AMICA insurance. We have now used them twice, with excellent results. They took a longer time than seemed reasonable for the second repair, but covered the additional rental car days free of charge. When we had to return because of a strange noise, which turned out to be a suspension spring that hadn't been reinstalled properly, the shop took care of the problem promptly and the car looks and rides very well now. read more
