Just got my car back and couldn't be happier. My friend's son (new driver) backed into my car and the bumper pins released (very lucky, and minor damage). Didn't want to put it through his insurance , so took to a couple auto body shops for a quote. 1st one (unnamed, but on Frenchtown Rd in EG) said to run it through the insurance and to leave it bc there's lots of damage underneath . Then I saw Rich at Nick's. In 3 minutes he saw the car, had a tech look at it (no damage underneath and just a missing pin) and toor care of it , 20 minutes job. !! I had a pretty extensive accident over the summer and unfortunately brought my car to Nicks. I cannot stress enough to stay away from this place. I am a car guy and grew up in a shop my whole life so my car is very important to me. I saw the older Camaro on their photos on google and felt comfortable bringing my car to them because I was over an hour from my local body shop. The first interaction was odd, a dirty guy who I think was actually one of the owners or the owners husband, took my car and assured me he would take care of me and the damage was repairable. Then I heard him on his flip phone using some pretty awful language in regards to one of his employees. I was in a state of shock because my car was just hit so I moved on and waited. It was a large accident so I expected it to take a long time. What I didn't expect was to get zero calls as to updates on parts coming in, wether or not my car was being repaired etc. I never called more than once a week so I wasn't being demanding. 2 weeks in a row I got from the owner (older woman in office) that she was looking at it on the frame machine right now, and also a lot of attitude. She is awful at handling customers, I think she is used to the towing side of the business. Fast forward a few more weeks about 6 in total and I called one morning and they said it would be ready later that day. Great news as I wasn't even sure if my car was being worked on yet or what work had been done, any timeline at all I was completely in the dark. Once I go to pick up the car the paint work fortunately was done fairly well, however there was some damage on the passenger fender from mounting the bumper, the bumper was not mounted correctly and the front of the bumper had some sort of filament in the plastic, and the worker did not choose to take the time to wet sand it out. Wouldn't have even taken 5 minutes. The worst of the damage though was my interior, the dash had a huge scratch on it from Im assuming someone putting parts in my car while waiting for other parts (perfectly normal if you don't damage someone's car in the process) and trying to get them to give me a new dash was a useless endeavor. I got more attitude from the owner over the phone than any customer deserves, she speaks to people like they're peasants and we know nothing of the body shop industry. In the end they "repaired" my dash by sending it to an unaffiliated repair facility close by. They just sprayed a textured rubberized paint over the dash to simulate a leather grain pattern, and as you would assume it looks terrible. They got tons of overspray on my vents as well as my gauge clusters. Trying to have anything resolved with this company is so painful you're better off just fixing any damages yourself and moving on. I wet sanded the bumper and fixed the filament issue, as well as the bumper fitment that was off that they assured nothing could be done about. And I also replaced my dash to the tune of about $325 plus a full days labor. I also mentioned to them my passenger fog light was inoperable and was working fine prior to the accident, why that wasn't addressed I'm not sure but now I have to trace down the wiring issue myself as I've already replaced the bulb and tested the connection with a multi meter. I have probably spent over a week cleaning up the mess I made by choosing this company, do yourself a favor and do not do business with them to any capacity. They did repair the paint on my fender from bumper fitment but that's all they resolved. They got overspray on my wheels and tires, I could go on and on with the issues I have. None of that has anything to do with the fact they used aftermarket parts. That wouldn't change the damage on my dash or the overspray. If anyone has any other questions about my ordeal message me and I'll answer any questions you have. And the man that takes your keys (large man that isn't nice or smart) tries to intimidate you into just taking your car and sucking it up. Unbelievable how unprofessional they are. read more

Be careful using this company. AAA towed the car here, but we found out later they weren't on our insurance's preferred autobody shop list. So we called to get the car towed to another autobody shop that was on the preferred list. Well, Nick's did not like that and made it next to impossible to get our car out of their lot. Tow truck company came to bring car to other autobody shop, and Nick's wouldn't let the car go. I called Nick's and an awfully rude woman said we didn't pay the storage fee so they wouldn't release the car to the tow truck driver. She said, "let the insurance company pay the storage fee!" then hung up on me. WOW!! Nick's never said anything about a storage fee. I had to leave work to pay the $240 storage fee and drive it one block so that I could have AAA tow it to the other autobody shop. STAY AWAY FROM NICK's read more

This place is a mess. The car never even made it here because the staff was ridiculously rude over the phone. After a lovely hit and run accident over the weekend, my best friend was referred to Nicks by his insurance company who is affiliated with them. After my friend made several attempts to contact Nicks and getting hung up on I decided to call and try to calmly get some answers. Upon calling Nicks to confirm and ask a few questions I was told by a snarky woman that they don't work with motor clubs after business hours and before I could ask my next question she rudely said YUP and hung up on me. We immediately called the insurance company and told them we do not want the car going anywhere near this shop. Nicks, you are dealing with people during a potentially terrible time in their life and you treat them like a burden. Got rear ended on the mass pike a few weeks ago. Met my insurance adjuster at Nick's. Richard was kind enough to walk with us and ensure that everything was noted properly. I decided to let Nick's handle the repair and the process could not have been more seamless. Brian in the office is incredibly professional, kind and thorough, making sure that all of my questions were answered and my concerns were addressed. The folks working on the vehicles are also incredibly nice. Richard was outstanding and was able to turn my car around in less than 24 hours (they ordered and sprayed the parts ahead of time) when other two other shops said they'd need the car for 5-7 days. Onto the work. I drive a 2016 Porsche Cayenne S Hybrid and its no exaggeration that my car looks better than it did before the accident, which is actually something Richard promised me his team would do. It looks absolutely flawless and I couldn't be happier with the result. I didn't realize that when Rick was away that he let his employees get cocky and disrespectful with clients that keep him in business. The whole time I'm just watching as everyone stood and looked like they have never handled a customer before. This morning got into a bad car accident on the highway of providence. Happened to have a nicks tow truck sitting in the break down lane as soon as he saw the accident he didn't ask for any of my information just proceeded to lift my car onto the tow truck and bring it back to his auto body shop. Then proceeded to charge us for the less then 2 minute ride down the road when I have triple a ($130). Front desk associate was very rude and no help expected us to know what she was saying without speaking. Mechanic then proceeded to say he knew what happened during the accident blaming it on me when it was in-fact the car 2 cars ahead of me. I would not recommend this auto body shop to anyone who likes friendly and reasonable customer service. Absolutely disgusted not once asked if I was okay was just concerned about money. I brought my car here once. They were nice, quick on the job, and pretty cost effective in my opinion. Then a few months later I called to get an estimate on some repairs. First, I get left on hold only to get the phone hung up on me. Second, I called back and the guy answering the phone was kinda rude as if I wasn't the one who just got hung up on. I would have to agree with the many bad reviews. I brought my car there for inspection. After Steve (I think that was his name) explained his tool could not read my car's computer and spending $500, going back four times, sometimes with wait or attitude, his tool still could not read my car's computer, and my car was blamed. Luckily there is a lot of choice for car work and many polite and honest mechanics. My car was inspected successfully by one of them shortly after in 2 hours. read more

I couldn't agree more with the bad reviews of this "mechanic." Do NOT take your car here!!! I was rear ended in an accident and the "manager" had the audacity to say that he didn't see anything on the back bumper. He even went so far as to ask me when I had it replaced. At that point, I should have known that my dead grandmother knew more about cars than this asshole. The entire time I tried to talk to him and Billy (or Billie even though it sounds like Amman), they talked over me. The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. These people are completely unprofessional. The guy even went so far as to say, "Fuck it. Come get your car!" and hung up. Really great service from this auto body shop. My Jeep was hit when it was parked and the other persons insurance provided a number of auto body shops to use for repair. Nicks was one of them. Total repair time was about a week, and repairs came out great. Everyone I dealt with in the process was very friendly. We were passing through Providence when a radiator hose went and the engine started overheating. Able to get off the Atwells exit and get to Nick's, it was three in the afternoon on a Friday and he got us in immediately even though they were slammed. He fixed the car in under an hour and we were able to get to New York City; he saved Memorial Day weekend. Great work and the price was reasonable even though he knew we were in a bind. I was recently involved in a motor vehicle accident and needed a body shop to fix my truck. My dad had body work and custom paint work done here in the past and said they will take care of me. I could not be more pleased with the repair work done. Rich Jr. worked with me and my insurance company and had the rental waiting for me when I went to drop my truck off. The work took about a week and I was kept in the loop the whole time as far as pricing and the work being done. If I had questions, my phone calls were either handled immediately or I received a call back before the end of the day. When I picked my truck up, it was returned to me in better condition than when I dropped it off. The entire truck was detailed inside and outside. Not a good experience for me at all . All I asked for after my car was totaled, were some of my personal belongings in the trunk. I was promised they would be boxed up and returned to me. Almost 8 months later, still haven't heard a word from them or got my things back. Trunk had the last hand-made blanket my Grandmother made. Called them several times, they didn't even know what I was talking about. Last phone call, I was promised a call back---never received one, and after all this time, I probably won't. I have been to Nick's 5 times for repair/maintenance of my car. They have fixed my transmission, replaced side view mirrors, repaired turn signal indicator, changed brake pads, changed my tires, and a few other small things. Each time, they have been friendly and have managed to get the work done at or below the quoted price and in a timely fashion. For one job, they had to track down a part for my (admittedly old and hard to match) car, and they were able to find it for much cheaper than they had originally claimed it would cost, which was awesome. They remember my car and seem to enjoy the work they do. I have recommended Nick's to a few of my friends in the area, and they have been happy with the service as well! read more

These were by far the meanest people I have ever dealt with over the phone. When I was in an accident my car was towed here (the cops called this company, not me). In the following days I was on the phone with Nick's and my insurance company two different times. The first time, the man was incredibly rude and began yelling at my insurance lady, was extremely unhelpful, and ended up hanging up on us. The second time we called was to try and confirm the release of my car from the shop to my insurance, and the lady from Nick's that we spoke to (Leslie, I think?) had an attitude that I would only have ascribed to a hormonal middle schooler. She spoke over every word my insurance person said, yelled about her privacy being violated when she realized I was on the phone (though she was told at the beginning), and ended up calling my insurance lady a "bitch." I'm not sure how this company stays in business but I feel awful for the other people who have to deal with them. read more
