Stay away. State motors has awful customer service ans communication. I had an awful experience today with state motors today. Not only did they not do what they were supposed to, i asked them to leave my keys in the car and they locked the keys in the car. I had to bother my sister to give me a ride to pick up my car with a 5 year old in the car starving because its dinner time, now she has to drive me another 30 minutes home. Took my dad's 2012 Lincoln in for a recall. I joked to my sister, watch - they'll find something wrong so they can get some money for the time spent on the recall. Yup. Supposedly the tail light was out. Funny, when we dropped the car off the night (dark out) before it was working just fine. Tip - take a video of your car before you drop it off. Lights on. I'd give them zero stars, but Yelp won't let me. read more

Even though I purchased from another dealer, I had a Ford vehicle (brand new 2018) blow a radiator hose - State Motors was the closest to my home for warranty service and accepted the vehicle right away; arranged for a rental car; diagnosed and fixed the problem the same day. They exemplify "customer service"...they even returned the rental car for me, saving me time! Highly recommend them and owe great thanks to Thomas Powers the service manager and his team! read more

Had my wife bring her car in for a transmission concern. They brought it in, we wanted to flush the transmission but we're told it would make our problem worse. They never checked to see the service bulletin from Lincoln was never performed and quoted a repair around $1200. The transmission had a software update that fixed the issue. They also said they drained and replaced the fluid while they had it in the air...lies!! We replaced the black fluid at another garage and the transmission is back to normal. I know of another guy that brought two of his Lincoln's there and work was done without his consent...poor service department. I have been in the same line of work for 22 years and a Lincoln dealer should have better ethics. read more

just bought a used 2018 Mercedes GLS450 from there 6 weeks ago. 2 days after I purchased a light came on with a suspension malfunction symbol. I called and they sent it to Mercedes Benz dealership to fix the problem. They covered the cost as they should. A week later the light came on again but then turned off and it didn't come back on until this past week again. I've never felt my car go up and down as it should with the suspension, I knew it wasn't right. So we called again to get it taken care of AGAIN! And we were told to bring it to Mercedes again. After evaluating the car AGAIN they told me I need a new compressor... a $1600 fix!! we called state motors to let them know and they said they will not pay for it even though this was clearly a pre existing condition before I bought it THAT THEY DID NOT INFORM ME OF! They should have fixed the compressor the first visit, so they would have taken care of it then but not now!! What the heck? My compressor does not just stop working with in 6 weeks! I'm bull crap! They sold me a car with a pre existing problem and probably even knew about it but didn't tell me about it, but what's worse they know now and still won't do anything about it! Don't waste your time going to this crappy dealership! If they have any care in the world they would have done the right thing and take care of it! We have a baby and me taking the time off from work, making me pay for something that was done before I bought the car and toting my infant around back and forth is not fair!I'm calling the BBB tomorrow! read more

You know I felt bad at first when I wrote my first review on this place. I was a little upset, So I decided to give you guys another shot, I came through the wash I paid 15 Dollars for. (little Expensive) And when I came to the end I figured that dryer must be fixed by now, NOPE!! still broken, I drove back up to the front to grab another towel from the guy working I asked him whats going on with the dryer he said it has been broken for months and hasn't been fixed or even looked at, I just don't get it. Every other car wash I go to the dryer works fine, the only reason I am giving you guys two stars is because the guy that was running the car wash was nice enough to give me another towel he actually wiped the car down for me as well. It looks like you guys got some good employees but terrible management and Ownership wish I could say better things, sorry. read more

I have been a longtime State Motors customer and recently called about a $39.99 oil change coupon with no expiration date. I wondered if it was still valid. I was told to bring the coupon, I was all set. I asked 4 separate times if it was $39.99 and was told I was all set, be sure to bring the coupon. When I arrived I was told the charge was $55, they could no longer honor the old coupon. I would have been ok with that had they told me the truth when I pressed them on the phone for the charge. They LIED. Although they didn't say it was expired on the phone, they said I was "all set" be sure to bring the coupon. When I spoke to the service manager I was told his employees don't lie. NEITHER DO I. If they cannot be honest in a conversation how can you trust what they are doing in the service dept? If you call in, bypass the customer service reps. and get the truth from Mgr Tom Powers. As for me I will not do business with these people any more. Trust is a big factor in the auto service industry. Fyi, Vip would have done the entire job with inspection sticker for $62.99....$20 less than State Motors. read more

Extremely stressful experience. Brought my MKZ here for a recall of door latches. They addressed a seatbelt recall and NEVER performed the door latch recall. What is worse is that they NEVER told me they didn't address the door latch. Luckily, I found out from another dealer that it wasn't done. When I inquired why at State, they said the part was not in stock. I get that, however why didn't they tell me that and schedule an appointment. I spoke first with Tom from service who yelled at me so loud like it was all my fault. When I spoke to Doug, the owner, he "apologized" for Tom's behavior and the part not being available. Please also note that since my car was at this dealership, I have had a myriad of problems with my car needing service and only having 37,000 miles on a 2014. Within a two month period, I have had 4 loaner cars from a different dealership because of issues with my car that was problem free before I went to Stat Motors. read more

Went for brake problem. Told me that the car was unsafe to drive. 2010. Ford 33000 miles. Would cost $1250 to repair. Said that I did nt have the money. Now. Said that I could. Leave the car there until I got the money. There is a problem with the brake calipers sticking. Ford t s b Should be a free fix. Went to. Another garage. The fix cost. $182. Replaced the caliper. Avoid this place like the plague for service work. The sales team was very friendly. I went in for service and they offered me a phone and booth where I could make some work related calls. I went in to repair the windshield washer transmission which broke (arms separated). The mechanic installed the wiper arms in such a way that they were hitting the hood of my car and caused minor paint chips where the hood bends. He also pinched the washer spray tube so that one side of the sprayer did not put windshield washer fluid on to that side of the glass and he cracked the windshield. Initially I only noticed the wipers hitting the hood. When I pointed this out the dealership offered to rework on Monday (this occured on a Friday). The mechanic came out and told me the windshield wiper could not be re-adjusted so it doesn't hit the hood. That there is no adjustment on it and this is how it's designed. That's ridiculous. As I arrived home that day I noticed the crack on the windshield which was on the lower left of the glass in a dark tinted section. Over the weekend I inspected the work closer myself. I also noticed the paint chips where the wipers contacted the hood. I adjusted the wipers myself, a fairly simple job if you are slightly mechanically inclined. I followed-up with the dealership that Monday about the windshield crack and the overall poor quality of work and they offered to pay for the deductible and repair the spray issue as well. I refused to have them even try to fix the wiper spray issue, I did not want them to touch my vehicle again. I contacted them about the crack and follow-up on the poor service not because I wanted anything from them, I did so to warn them that this type of service will affect their busines. I purchased the car there 10 years ago, but they have changed ownership and this type of service will put them under. They apologized, offered to pay for my windshield deductble and indicated that this was the 3rd strike for the tech and by mutual agreement he was let go. Not looking to lose anyones job, but poor service like this just can't be tolerated. I stopped by that night for them to take pictures of the windshield at which point the service manager I had spoken to completely ignored me and the gentleman that took pictures seemed to be in disbelief making remarks suggesting the crack was likely always there. I never contacted them again nor did they ever attempt to contact me to pay my deductible. Like I said I wanted nothing more from them, but had I, I'm guessing I would have had to push significantly. I hope for their sake this is a one off situation, but given their lack of follow-up I doubt it. read more
