Back for my 3rd time across a 3-year time span and this was as great and memorable as my first visit pre the Pandemic. First off, a huge kudos to MELISSA our server, she was fabulous. THANKS. We had a reservation and were shown to our table right off the bar area in a quiet back corner table for two. Melissa came over, and we all did the introductions, she shared the specials for the night and answered a few of our questions about preparations and the patron's input on a few of the dishes we were ready to get started. We kicked off the lovely evening with the spring rolls, which were a very pleasant surprise. Not too greasy as they are fried, yet crunchy and flavorful, especially with the side dipping sauce. Off to a tasty start. Next, for our entree, which we shared by ordering the braised beef short rib with red wine, vegetables and herbs, Yukon gold mashed potatoes, reduced braising stock, and grilled garlic bread plus the Brussel sprout and sweet potato bowl- made with herbs, garlic, and honey, a brown butter panko breadcrumb crust served in a skillet. Together made for a lovely meal that was both very satisfying and filling. To help complete our scrumptious dinner, we each had a glass of GL Altsora Malbec; a fabulous complete. Sorry gang, no dessert, we were full. Thank you State Street Grill for coming through again with an other fabulous evening out.

Helpful and attentive service, beautiful outdoor patio (tented, umbrellas and even a fire pit). The indoors was dark and intimate. The food was delicious, and our French toast was one of the most beautiful we've seen in a long time. The hummus flatbread was interesting and tasty. I loved the pine nuts and chewy almost tortilla- like finish to the bread. The corned beef hash was also delicious, although the egg white was a tad too soft for me. It was a most pleasurable experience, and we will definitely mark it on our road trip stop, should we find ourselves out that way again. I would have happily tasted more on the menu. There were small details that elevated the dishes and the vibe.

My husband and I went for a date night, and it was a great place to go without the kids. Parking- Seemed to be only street parking as far as we could tell. After 6pm, the meters are off, which was convenient timing for us to get dinner. Atmosphere/Vibe- The decor was nice, sort of a modern industrial look with brick and black accents. There was soft music playing (a 2009s boy band) and some "punny" named drinks that felt perfect for a millennial. I am part of this demographic, and loved that! Staff- Very friendly and personable. Knowledgeable and willing to accommodate a substitution. Food- I started with butternut squash soup, which was quite good. My husband had french onion soup, which we felt was about average. I had the salmon dinner entree. The salmon was excellent, perfectly cooked with a nice light crust. I asked for asparagus instead of brussel sprouts, and the asparagus spears were cooked, but tough, and the carrots were perfect. The smear of celery root was not warm, which was a bummer. my husband had braised short ribs, and said he felt his green beans were underdone, but the meat was extremely tender and delicious. His smear of squash puree was also cold. We both had the crème brute for dessert, and that really was the star of the show! Overall- this place is what you make it. If you like to have more control of your meal and like a variety of flavors, it might not be for you, but we really enjoyed it!

What a cozy, delicious spot! We enjoyed the cheeseburger spring roll special, Buffalo cauliflower salad, salmon entree and meatloaf entree. The Buffalo cauliflower was not spicy at all as we thought it might be. Instead it almost had a sweet flavoring but delicious nonetheless. The salmon entree pictured was packed with healthy foods like sprouts and beet purée. The meatloaf is bacon wrapped and very flavorful. We finished the meal with the hazelnut cake which was decadent! But more like a hazelnut mousse pie. Full bar for your needs as well! 1 star deducted because of the overly attentive customer service. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly, but checked on us so much that it felt like she was trying to nudge us out for the next guest.

Visited SSG with my mom for a girls brunch. Let me tell you that seemed to be a theme as while we were there we saw three other girls groups come in. From the moment we entered I knew we would love it, and it did not disappoint! Drinks - were creative and unique. I was really impressed that not only did to have the inside bar but they have an outside bar and lounge area and even two of the little bubble domes. --It must be adorable in the spring and summer. Food- the food was absolutely delicious. We both got the avocado toast ciabatta bread I believe. My only critique is that we were only given a butter, knife and fork to eat it with when really it needed a steak knife because of the bread it was a little hard to get apart with the butter knife. The flavors were excellent though and fresh. We also ordered the buffalo cauliflower, which I didn't think was very spicy, but it had a great flavor to it. Atmosphere - it was decorated so cute. It was modern with bold wallpapers and design, but comfortable. Even the restroom was cute w a little tufted stool for sitting and cute lamp etc. Service- even though they were really busy service was great! The server came back, and the right amount of times gave us time to peruse the menu as we needed an even saved our to go container which we almost left behind!! This place was absolutely phenomenal and I will be going back here every time I visit the area! Can't wait actually.

State Street Grill is one of my top favorite restaurants in Clarks Summit. The food is always delicious, our server tonight was phenomenal, super prompt and friendly regardless of it being very busy. It is always decorated very beautifully inside and out. I am very pleased & highly recommend. I have been here several times and haven't found anything on the menu I don't like.

I decided to have my two best friends use the same venue as us . I deeply regret that decision now . My wife and I went with the new couple to book the event . We met with a sweet lady named Stephanie who seemed very nice and cared to have our two friends special day be special. Upon arrival for the rehearsal dinner a few members of the wedding party were greeted by the same Stefanie but a Different version of. This woman was so nasty during the set up . Yelling at guest for holding the door open while we had heavy items to load in . There was a missing table and when that was brought up to Stefanie she was extremely nasty when it was brought to her intention. The wedding crew reminded calm in hopes that tomorrow would be a better day for this woman. Come wedding day Stefanie was having a worse day . There was tons of complaints from the guest that will be posted on Facebook and other review sites. My biggest problem was when she was asked about the bar being closed for over a hour and a half . No access to soda for dinner . And why they didn't make an announcement. Her response was it's not her job that it's the bride and grooms job to make the announcement to complain to them for not paying for the bar to be open during dinner and also to complain to the bride and groom for not making the announcement because it's their responsibility to make a announcement and it's not here job . That is the most unprofessional thing I have ever seen in the industry. In the industry the professionals work together . Stefine was also nasty to the DJ and MC. Refusing to be professional with them and or communicate with them at all making it hard for them to do their job correctly. At the end of the party we were told that we could not come back in the morning to break down the decorations and equipment like planed and that we were no longer welcome there in the morning . Iam the Groom from the wedding with the toasters I'm sure the owners will remember my party from 2 years ago . Like I said before that all the tables had their own complaints. I will be checking all those sites out of interest on what other unprofessional things happened. Quote is the night . Stefanie " Jason you were the only good person I served all night " said in front of a handful of guest . I am embarrassed I told my friends to have the wedding here . I hope they don't hold anything from the past 2 days against me.

Rehearsal day: When she was rude to several people in the bridal party and there to help we thought that maybe she was having a rough day. Unfortunately , that wasn't the case. Come wedding day, she was even worse. She cut people off from the bar before they even had a drink because she asked them when the bar would be reopening. We understood that the bar would be closed for an hour during dinner service, but with one bartender the bridal party wasn't able to get a drink to have with dinner between introductions and dinner. The hour of the bar being closed was in fact well more than an hour. The night was more of the same. Rude and snarky comments were made by her repeatedly. The food was terrific. The very young and seemingly inexperienced servers did their best, but their leader failed in a huge way. People pay a lot of money for a wedding and don't expect to be cheated out of their money (bar closed for much longer than it was supposed to be) or have their guests cursed at and treated poorly. This was on our list of venues for a graduation party. I can guarantee that it has lost its spot on our potential locations.
