No longer a good place to go, unfortunately. It seems the manager of the store does not care that things are rapidly going downhill. People are constantly bringing their dogs (not service dogs, their pets) into the store and nobody says a word: It is EXPENSIVE here-$14 for a bag of grapes. There is a huge discrepancy in pricing especially in the Deli area, as well as no pricing posted for many things. The cashiers generally nice and pleasant, but we have had 2 issues now with the bakery/deli area staff being extremely rude and inappropriate. This usually leads back to it being a systemic issue. It is very conveniently located but due to the decline in service and high prices I won't be back. There are many other options in the area now. read more

Great store! Wide aisles! Large selection! The butcher(Mark) is a great resource when cooking/grilling. The deli has very good products ( but poor service). They are always busy working but never want to look up to see customers. I have finally stopped buying anything from that department. I still love this store. read more

WoW!! Staters what is wrong with you? this past sunday i was patiently waiting in line. when this customer in front of me started a scene. something along the lines of, why wasn't her card was not working. yelling at the poor cashier. yelling at the top of her lungs Jesus help me. throwing her grocery back onto the conveyor belt. etc etc. No manager in site. it was wild!! the poor employee's trying to diffuse the out of control situation. again no manager in site for a while. some how one came up front, trying to talk to the out of control customer. mind you, the i think manager never removed the customer from the front of the line. the lines got longer with no help coming to the rescue. one of the cashier was overwhelmed and i think she was crying. how does STATERS not protect their employees from such an out of control situation?? no bueno STATERS. This review is long overdue. This is for the gentleman in the meat department. It was Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving, and the place was packed. I needed a ribeye steak roast. The person who helped me was Steven Morales. Of course, I asked for the most affordable cut available. He seasoned it with Malibu seasoning and steakhouse seasoning, then I asked him to separate the bone and tie the roast, which he did without hesitation. The roast was almost 19 pounds at $7.99 per pound, coming out to about $145. Yes, Costco may have better quality, but for almost $400--who can afford that right now? Since I had to work Thanksgiving morning, my only option was to cook it in the oven while I was at work. I set it at 190 degrees and let it cook for 10.5 hours. I want to thank Steven for his excellent work and for helping me get meat that I could actually afford. The roast turned out great--good, juicy, and very tender. This Stater Bros location is a very nice place to shop. You can get all your basic needs here. The store is clean, and the employees are very friendly--everyone greets you when you walk by. read more

Plenty of parking. Such a nice clean market situated in the new town plaza on Pine Ave. Workers are always so attentive and smiley! I would say stater bros are known for their quality meat, and their seafood here looks fresh too. They also have great cut fruits and fresh sushi station right when you walk in on the right. And if you want a quick meal, they also have fried chicken and a burrito bar (think Chipotle) too. I always feel welcomed here! read more

Title: Don't promise "fresh" if it isn't Because Yelp only allows one review per customer per business, I'm combining two very different experiences into a single review. Unfortunately, that means I have to choose one overall rating, even though one employee deserves 1 and another clearly deserves 5 recognition. Nancy - 1 Experience To be fair, I want to explain exactly what happened. I called ahead and specifically asked if the fried chicken could be a fresh drop. Nancy told me it would be ready fresh in about 15 minutes, so I trusted that and went to pick it up. When I arrived, Lori handed me the chicken. She pulled the box from the warming cabinet, closed it, and gave it to me. I don't know whether Nancy personally dropped the chicken, delegated it to someone else, or if there was simply a miscommunication somewhere along the way. But as a customer, all I know is this: when you're told your chicken will be freshly made and it isn't fresh when you get home, no reasonable customer is going to be happy about that. I'm not trying to attack anyone personally here. I understand that mistakes and miscommunication can happen in a busy store. However, when a customer calls ahead and is given a clear promise about fresh food, it's reasonable for that customer to expect that promise to be kept. For anyone ordering here, I would recommend checking the chicken before leaving the store, especially if you're told it's a fresh drop. The bakery manager or supervisor not sure of her name but has long brown hair was extremely rude and unpleasant. She clearly does not want to be at work and has an issue with helping customers. I let the cashier know and she agreed and stated a lot of people have complained about her and that it's hard to find workers who are willing to deal with her. I came in to get a birthday cake for my mother and had to deal with this lady being rude. Had to rewrite this review cause the other one hurt her feelings. This new location in Chino is so large. I remember driving by and wondering what was coming here. The store is clean and stocked! I love their selections of sushi. Of course I went during lunch hours on my work from home day so it was still early. So many aisles here and so much to buy. I did end up buying the egg salad sandwich in three cartons by the fruit/meat deli and it wasn't that good. It tasted fishy. And I'm a huge fan of egg salad sandwiches. Overall my experience was very memorable. Today was a busy day at Stater Brothers for sure. Brand new Stater Bros anchored in the long awaited Town Center at the Preserve. I was amazed with the modern layout and how beautifully lit this store was - probably the best location I've been to IMO. Visited during grand opening week and there were samples to my surprise and an incredibly accommodating team of eager employees ready to serve the community. Love how they're catering to the melting pot of cultures in our area. Their food court offers everything from a more elevated deli area to chipotle style burritos/bowls and even fresh sushi. I love how the aisle always in this store are wide and everything is typically fully stocked. I can always find someone to help me. I have to call out Mark in the meat department! I asked about bone in turkey breasts, frozen and he walked me all the way over to the freezer. He offered extra ways to prepare the turkey, too! I went and got 2.5 lbs of Kalbi short ribs on New Years Eve 9:20pm. I requested extra marinade after the Butcher weighed out the choice of cut. At the register unbeknownst, the cashier takes my packaged meat walks to the back counter and retags the price on my already tagged product and tried wanted to charge me $11.75 more than the original weighed tag. So I had had to choose to leave the product and walk out with my family on New Years Eve with no meat. read more

Visited a few days ago this new Stater Brother location and it's huge. Love that they have a great selection of items throughout the store and the walkways between aisles is very wide, which avoids bumping into other people's carts. They also offer self-checkout which makes the process much faster and convenient. read more

Ordered a cake from the bakery and it was the best cake my family has ever eaten. It was so moist and delicious and it was decorated even better than I expected. This Stater Bros is in a great location in chino hills area. As of right now this is the only store in the parking lot with surrounding buildings. Now, let me start off by saying you have to check out this location.... The store is huge compared to other stores and has everything you need at the best prices. As soon as I got word the store was open I shopped the next day, I have spent over $500 in two weeks between work and groceries for home. The store is brand new and has welcome signs "they are open" when you come into the store you can feel the hospitality, they always the nicest staff greeters at the front welcoming you to the store. When you come in sometimes they have samples being given away of sushi or other things. When you enter the store you can see how clean, organized, and how huge the store is... on the right side they have all the precooked food you can purchase ranging from tamales, carne asada, chicken, Korean spicy bbq, potato wedges, potato salad, cakes, etc. the front also has tons of fruit and deserts. The aisles are wide and easy to shop down with staff always on a corner willing to help or escort you to where the item is you need. So convenient! The bathroom is in the back left part of the store, everything is so clean! The register girl who checked me out, her name was Jayme, very polite smiling thin young hispanic girl. Customer service goes a long way! I appreciate the warm hospitality and helpfulness from all the staff. The parking lot is huge with plenty of parking for free!
