This review is long overdue. This is for the gentleman in the meat department. It was Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving, and the place was packed. I needed a ribeye steak roast. The person who helped me was Steven Morales. Of course, I asked for the most affordable cut available. He seasoned it with Malibu seasoning and steakhouse seasoning, then I asked him to separate the bone and tie the roast, which he did without hesitation. The roast was almost 19 pounds at $7.99 per pound, coming out to about $145. Yes, Costco may have better quality, but for almost $400--who can afford that right now? Since I had to work Thanksgiving morning, my only option was to cook it in the oven while I was at work. I set it at 190 degrees and let it cook for 10.5 hours. I want to thank Steven for his excellent work and for helping me get meat that I could actually afford. The roast turned out great--good, juicy, and very tender. This Stater Bros location is a very nice place to shop. You can get all your basic needs here. The store is clean, and the employees are very friendly--everyone greets you when you walk by.

Plenty of parking. Such a nice clean market situated in the new town plaza on Pine Ave. Workers are always so attentive and smiley! I would say stater bros are known for their quality meat, and their seafood here looks fresh too. They also have great cut fruits and fresh sushi station right when you walk in on the right. And if you want a quick meal, they also have fried chicken and a burrito bar (think Chipotle) too. I always feel welcomed here!

Shout out to Steven Morales in the meat department! Tri Tip was on sale and my Staters was completely out on a Saturday morning. So I headed out to Chino and called ahead to make sure they had tri-tip. Steve took my call and went out of his way to set tri-tip aside for me so it was ready to go when I arrived. Super friendly and a great customer experience. He is my Customer Hero today!

This has become my favorite Stater Bros due to the amazing customer service and huge variety they have to offer in-compare to other Stater Bros. Markets!!! This is the first location I've been to that even offers a burrito bar. Every single employee I came into contact with, was beyond nice and professional and made me feel so welcomed! The store is spacious and clean... I will be back for sure!

Big shout out to Steve in the butcher shop!! I went in after work, about a quarter to six, and was looking for some English-cut short ribs for a family feast, and Steve took care of business! He stopped what he was doing, had someone grab a few dino racks from the back, and cut and trimmed them to perfection! Fabulous selection with top-notch service! This will definitely be my go to butcher shop! Thank you, Steve!!

This new location in Chino is so large. I remember driving by and wondering what was coming here. The store is clean and stocked! I love their selections of sushi. Of course I went during lunch hours on my work from home day so it was still early. So many aisles here and so much to buy. I did end up buying the egg salad sandwich in three cartons by the fruit/meat deli and it wasn't that good. It tasted fishy. And I'm a huge fan of egg salad sandwiches. The workers were really nice and great service. I'm looking forward to seeing this location thrive!

Brand new Stater Bros anchored in the long awaited Town Center at the Preserve. I was amazed with the modern layout and how beautifully lit this store was - probably the best location I've been to IMO. Visited during grand opening week and there were samples to my surprise and an incredibly accommodating team of eager employees ready to serve the community. Love how they're catering to the melting pot of cultures in our area. Their food court offers everything from a more elevated deli area to chipotle style burritos/bowls and even fresh sushi. Can't wait to give them my business on a regular!

I have eaten my way through filet mignon, ribeyes that could make you emotional, slow braised short ribs that fall apart if you look at them too hard, and somehow, somehow, this corned beef just walked in, sat down at the head of the table, and said, "We're doing things differently now." The meat? Ridiculous. Tender in a way that makes you question physics. Moist without being greasy. Rich without crossing into that heavy, regret filled territory. Every bite felt like it had been engineered by someone who understands joy on a molecular level. And then, because apparently that wasn't enough, you get the balance. The sauerkraut cuts through with just the right tang. The Russian dressing slides in with this creamy, slightly sweet acidity that ties everything together like it has a degree in culinary diplomacy. Nothing fights. Nothing overwhelms. It's harmony. It's orchestral. It's borderline inappropriate how good it is. The rye bread? Let's talk about it. Toasty, flavorful, structurally sound, which matters, because this sandwich has presence. It doesn't just hold the sandwich, it participates. It shows up. It contributes. Now let me save you from making the same mistake I did: Do not order the fries. Listen, the curly fries are great. I'm not here to slander them. But pairing them with this sandwich is like trying to follow a standing ovation with a fireworks show indoors. It's too much. This sandwich is already peak decadence. Add fries, and you've crossed into excess that your soul, and your digestive system, will have a meeting about later. Next time, I am getting fruit. Something light. Something that respects what just happened on that plate. Final verdict: This isn't just a sandwich. It's an event. A commitment. A decision you don't make casually. And yes, I will absolutely be ordering it again.

Service was okay, although the cashier seemed to be going through the motions and wasn't particularly engaging. The restaurant appeared clean at first glance, but I did notice a few food safety practices that I think are worth bringing to management's attention. While handling ready-to-eat (RTE) food, employees should change their gloves and wash their hands whenever they leave the food preparation area or touch items that could contaminate their gloves. During my visit, I observed one of the cooks, an older gentleman, step away from the line and use the drink dispenser located in the dining area. Afterward, he returned directly to food preparation while still wearing the same black vinyl gloves. I did not observe him remove his gloves or wash his hands before resuming work. I've included a photo showing the location of the drink dispenser for reference. Later, I noticed a chef from the restaurant across the street stop by and hand food to the same cook. Rather than seeing the food taken to a designated employee area, it appeared to be placed near the cook line. If observed correctly, this could increase the risk of cross-contamination if proper food handling procedures were not followed. On a positive note, I did observe the front-of-house staff washing their hands appropriately as they transitioned between different tasks, which was good to see. Overall, this isn't a bad place to eat, and I enjoyed the food. I simply hope management takes a closer look at these food handling practices, as following proper glove-changing, handwashing, and cross-contamination prevention procedures helps protect both employees and guests.
