Horrible customer service! Sent my husband to pick me up a sandwich and he's never been to Jersey Mike's before. The lady who was making his sandwich asked him what bread, he said white. His mistake, he was suppose to get wheat so before she makes it he says I'm sorry I meant wheat. The lady goes UGH really loud and then says what am I suppose to do with this bread now? Then said I guess throw it away. He apologized again for picking the wrong bread. Someone then came to check him out and she then proceeds to tell that employee turn off the lights, I can't deal with people who can't make up their mind. So my husband then goes, are you complaining about me?! She then gets embarrassed and apologizes. He said, I made a mistake, it's not like you made my whole sandwich and needed to start over, I asked right before it was even made to change the bread. Jersey Mike's, your employees DO NOT make tipping wages. Can we stop forcing tipping upon us? This is not a restaurant, where employees rely on tips as part of their wage. This should be illegal to force upon tipping on credit card purchases, or even to have ugly generic tip jars in our faces when we purchase our food. It looks ugly and it's very tacky. Frankly the place looks like a dump to have in our faces used plastic pickle or mayonnaise jars with tip's written all over it. 14 bucks with tip I didn't know I was tipping for a carryout sub that use to cost under 10 bucks. I've always gone to Jersey Mikes for any kind of sandwich I was craving. It's my favorite, ESPECIALLY the giant club supreme. I usually go to the limonite location, but I saw this location on the way home. So why not try it here? When I got there, I was greeted, but when I asked questions about the menu, i was met WITH ATTITUDE and felt unwelcome instantly. She kept giving my sister and I dirty looks as we just wanted to ask a simple question. I remember the girl had purple hair but I didn't get her name. I told her the sandwich I wanted, and she got the bread AND she put it DIRECTLY ON THE COUNTER. NOT IN THE SANDWICH STATION AND IT WAS MADE ON AN UNPROTECTED SURFACE. She even bothered to put the meat and the cheese of the sandwich, and kept it there UNTIL it was ready for lettuce, tomato, etc AT THE END. I don't know who touched the counter and it's certainly wasn't just food. HAVE YOU HEARD OF COVID? It's real, come on! I have no idea if that surface was cleansed often or at all!!! She asked if we wanted anything else quite rudely and she was rude to her other coworkers who simply wanted to clarify the cost of adding avocados in my sandwich after I asked. I felt bad for them. I'm not sure if maybe the girl with purple hair just had a bad day, but everything seemed fine until we asked a question about the club supreme. I love Jersey Mike's. I started coming to this location in the last few months since I'm in the area often. I've never had any issues until today When I walked in today around 1:45pm, I noticed two men in front of me. One had a mask on and one didn't. The man without his mask on said "I forgot my mask in the car". The manager then said "that's OK, you don't need it". It didn't help the fact that the manager had her mask below her nose the whole time she was serving people. It's extremely disheartening to know a manager would encourage a customer to not abide by a county ordinance. What really bothered me was the blase attitude she had about the customer not wearing a mask. And that the manager had her mask below her nose. Besides that the service was fine. The sandwiches were delicious, but the mangers actions might discourage me from ever coming to this location again. read more
