I love food 4 less! They usually have good deals on tri tip and butter and chicken. They are a lot cheaper than most other places. This store is big and mostly clean. The people are nice and helpful. I only dont like the produce section as the fruits ans veggies are not too fresh. They always have discounted desserts. Its a steal! Most times only some lines are open for check out. Theyre not too busy. You bag your own groceries. Its simple and easy here. Today I got the red baron pizza for 3$, limit 5. My son loves microwaveable pizza for some strange reason. He likes to air fry them. I enjoy coming here. I spend about 200$ here and get a lot of food! read more

I have been going to the Temecula location since the 90's. Everyone is usually so friendly and efficient. However, today 12/19/2025 around 10:30am a woman named Tina was working the check stands and she was very rude. Working in customer service, she really needs to watch what she says. I never shop at this store but I happened to be doing a door dash on Christmas Eve and had a shopping order here. While waiting in line at the check stand they had a stand of the Hawaiian Pretzel bites. I've never had them before but I thought I could have a couple while I'm driving g. I opened them in the car and they were terrible. When I got home and was unpacking my car, I said to husband " oh, I finally tried those and they're terrible" he took them and looked at them and said " my e that's because they expired 4 days ago". I said those were $11.99, I actually going to return those. Any how, I of course couldn't find my receipt after dash g around, I get other people's receipts after every order so who k owes, o probably tossed it. I took a chance and went in the store and encountered a woman with long dark and gray hair. I stated to explain and she said " we can't sell expired things", I'm like " well, you did", and she was like " nope, not gonna happen. Okay, this is why I usually don't bother especially with a store like Food4 less. Stater bros is where we shop and this is why. I just can't believe how rude she was to me. Their restroom is extremely clean! You can find some unique items here you can't get elsewhere. Especially their Hispanic section. I found some of the prices to not compare well to Walmart, one star for that. I guess it's good for things on sale, but I don't care to chase down sales; I like everyday good prices. But OMGOSH, I found decaf zero sugar, sweet tea. So it's sweet tea yet decaf and has no calories. I've never seen that anywhere. And I'm obsessed!! You'll find a small clearance food section near the back of the store near the frozen stuff on the end cap. Like dented cans, expired stuff, day-old bread, or just random stuff really. Some cashiers seem nice too. I saw a butcher helping some people find stuff as well. You gotta bag your own groceries, which isn't a big deal. Overall, nice place. This is a Krogers by the way, which explains the pricing. read more

This is kind of like a one stop shop as they have an array of items from produce to meats/seafood to a bakery area and medicines/toiletries and whatever you can think of in between. Right now they have a lot of fun holiday and Christmas stuff out! The only thing is while it's called "Food4Less" things aren't necessarily cheaper here than you can get at Winco or any other store with a coupon. The meats here seem cheaper, but not necessarily the best quality and I do love that they carry Krogers brand. Danielle and Eddie gave the best customer service the other day and while I won't drive out of my way to come here, it's still a fun place to pop in when in the area. read more

I've gone to this store a few times and have always had a good experience. Except for today. I went up to check out 3 to request assistants for alcohol since everything is locked up and there's a sign that says, "look for associate for assistance". Check out 3 is the closest to me and person to me so I went up to the woman and politely said, "excuse me", twice. She then turns around, looks me up and down, and says; "can't you see I'm fucking busy". I said, "pardon me?", she then says, " I have a line of people I have to help, I'm not going to help you, just request it at check out". This was a caucasian senior lady with scoliosis, in her late 70s. I walked away since I was on the phone with my husband and it was too early in my day to start with BS. I did go up to another person to complain about my experience and mentioned how she told me off instead of just letting me know I can request at check out with no other words needed or request someone on intercom to go to the alcohol Isle for assistants. I never recieved an apology, just an excuse that, that line gets busy since it's the first one open.... I really felt like I was discriminated against since I was looked at up and down before the comments she made. I am 1/2 Hispanic with a lot of tattoos. And I'm sure if I wasn't. I probably would of been treated differently. I wouldn't have this feeling if the staring at me up and down with a gross look wasn't done but it was. An apology would of been nice and the least someone could of done. Or taken her off the floor immediately since she clearly needs a break of some sort. Maybe working the line and with customer service isn't the best since this can possibly lead to something serious if she decides to mistreat the wrong customer next time. read more

You definitely get more for your money. They have great cuts of meat for less than what you would pay at other grocery stores. They have a large selection of just about everything. The bakery/ prepared food area is great, you really can't beat the price. The only thing I wish they had more of is organic. The organic selection of fruits, veggies and meat isn't very large... but still ok. They also have bulk items, larger quantities and that is great for families or just to stock up your pantry (what I do). read more

I had a very bad experience today at Food4less. The cashier was not friendly at all. The workers act you are bothering them. I was also at check out when one of there workers came in screaming that someone hit his carts. The worker was screaming and cussing throwing his vest. Screaming I'M DONE the cashier didn't bother saying anything to us in line just saying " it happens all the time" what happens his temper tantrum? Kids were there listening to all this. By the way he blocked half the isle with carts so cars couldn't leave and he went back to work. Very scary feeling when you see someone acting like that especially when children are around. Also he mad a comment he works his a** off at that place. Then why does the trash cans in the parking lot always look like the trash exploded. Myrna was rude and did not apologize but put the moldy berries in the go backs after I told her again it is moldy. Helper girl didn't know what raspberries were. Been coming here since 1991 when we moved into town, i was just a teen. Over the years the city has grown, more grocery stores opened.up so there's more competition. What i love about Food4Less is when their pasta goes on sale for $0.49/each AND their Ragu sauce for $0.99/each. Hello!!! That is when i stock up on the alfredo sauces and fettuccine. Several times I've shopped here and idk if they don't store things properly during the shipping process or it's the store's fault, but I have seen worms on beef and produce (lettuce). Thank goodness for F4L I sometimes just want to go in quickly and grab a single item and this store makes it easy. Hubby and I love WinnCo but it is so large and not an easy go in and out type place. You can't fault Food 4 Less for sucking you in with their rock-bottom pricing. But you can flash a half-snarled lip for advertising porterhouse steaks that don't live up to the billing. So I stopped by because I saw an add that mentioned porterhouse's on sale for $5.99. Solid I thought, I'll get a two-pack. I put them on the grill immediately, charred both sides while still being able to sear the slabs. When I cut into the filet-side, the temp was perfect as was the strip-side. However, the taste was unique. Unique in the sense that this didn't taste like a porterhouse. It tasted like a chuck steak. But this is my fault. I knew I was playing roulette by going to Food 4 Less to buy steak. I'll always remember to keep loyal to Henry's. On the bright side, I did pick up a 750 ml. of Glenlivet 12 that was on sale. Purchased chicken from this store and found it to be rotten (smelling putrid) when I got home. I returned it to get my money back then called the manager who blew me off and was even counting money out loud while I was speaking to him. I asked him if he was talking to someone and he said no, he was counting money at one of the registers. Guess what I had to say as a customer didn't matter... The store is not as bad as the other reviews suggested. Perhaps because it's still daylight? It's not an upscale grocery store...such as Vons. But, it has some great sale items each week and I love a sale. The produce looks pretty good at this location and the cashiers were all smiling. Positive: Sometimes they have really good bargains on meat , seafood and produce. Cons: You have to check the discounts on the items you buy. Sometimes it does not ring. It happened to me twice (when I checked) when I have to hold the line because the discount won't ring on the product I bought. Talked to the manager , I think Mike was the name, but he couldn't help me or did not even attempt to try to solve the problem. Now I begin to wonder if there were other things I bought in the past that did not get the discount that should have been there. read more

Went to this grocery store 15 minutes before closing and the cashier, maybe even a manager, was the most snobbish cashier I've ever seen. Upon entering, we asked what time they close, and she gave a flat 12, no hi, no smiles, and was even sulking. Her name was Maricella Z. At the counter, she didn't even greet us, and just stared - yes - just stared and went ahead ringing us. At the end of the transaction, I thought she might redeem herself, but she just shoved the receipt to me, again no thanks, no smile, no nothings. My wife even noticed everything. Saw something that got me really upset yesterday evening! As my son and I walked in, we saw the shopping cart parking lot guy yelling at top of his lungs at an older guy on a bicycle. The guy was telling him that he can't park his bike there because he was in the way. After embarrasing this guy, the guy took his bike and left. In the 25 minutes I was within visual range, the Food 4 Less attendant didn't use that area once. Why did he yell at the bicycle guy? Shameful! read more

You can find some good deals here especially if you're planning on buying in bulk. Most of the good sales are up front right when you walk in. They have a large bakery, good selection of produce, and almost everything else a normal grocery store would offer. This location never seems to get busy which means there's a ton of parking available. I do find it odd that there's always people in the parking lots asking for money. I don't think they're homeless because I see them smoking cigarettes in the side alleys. read more

The produce when I went there once was fresh good range and the food there is really sold there for less Lots of kids there with the families which is so unrelated to the store but i'm guessing if they go there a lot their kids are running around tugging on people's clothes or throwing thing on floor. If I can give this store 0 stars I would. I am so disappointed & disgusted in this grocery store. When it comes to groceries here you will RARELY see me in a Food 4 less. Yes, they sale cheap and reasonable food. I rather shop at Grocery Outlet before coming here but because I was on vacation I needed anything that was close to my hotel that I was staying in. I walked in here to buy groceries with my family and got to the register. The cashier Robert was so rude and I could tell that he was ready to get off work but your still supposed to provide the up-most customer service right? As we were paying for the groceries I left my phone on the counter after being distracted. I left the store for only about 5 minutes then realized that I left my phone near the register. I was devastated just about anyone would be after losing their phone while on vacation right? so I go back to ask the cashier Robert where my phone was. Robert insisted that the phone was not left at the cash register so I went home and did a police report. After a couple hours of realizing that I had a tracker on the phone I started to track the phone online at the hotel. At the time we check the phone it was already late and food 4 less was already closed. The tractor with able to tell me exactly the different places where the phone was being taken. I kept calling the phone but the person that had it kept sending me to voice mail. I knew someone had the phone at this time. The next day the tracker had let me know that the phone was back at foods 4 less. I had called the store and spoke to the Manager Carol. I let her know that I had lost my phone yesterday at the cash register and I wanted to know if Robert was working that day. Carol stated "yes". I went right back to the store and walked right to Robert and asked him why he was holding on to my phone. He started to tell me a big lie of how he didn't have it but I let him know that my tracker was on my phone and it was telling me all the different places that he had went with my phone and told me the exact time of when he arrived back at Foods 4 less. Robert stated that the phone was found in the "men bathroom" and was dropped and someone found it and delivered it back to him so he was holding it until I arrived. Carol (The manager) came up and apologized for the situation and stated she would deal with the issue. Yes I got my phone back but it was not the way I expected it to happen. I take responsibility for not reading the reviews and seeing how down hill this company is going! I wouldn't be surprised if they close down! Overall, I'm very disgusted by this store. If hiring people that are not honest and steal is what Foods 4 less is all about then I refuse to ever spend my money at this store! Robert's actions where unacceptable! Thank goodness for a phone tracker because if he could have got away with it he would have! I will NEVER be shopping at a Foods 4 less again! PEACE! read more

Everything was great as I was going through the store but once I reached the checkout that is when my experience took a turn. My Cashier Christine C. was helping another customer as I began to unload my groceries onto the conveyor belt. Once she completed that transaction she began speaking to another employee and walked off leaving me standing there not once acknowledging me. She then spoke to that employee about 2 Registers away for sometime, still not making any eye contact with me. I made a comment of "I guess im not here" when a cashier next to me quickly ran over to get Christine who was now at this time grabbing receipt tape. I could hear Christine rudly say "Its not like I can ring her up I dont have tape". I then told her you could have simply acknowledged me and said im getting receipt tape. Having to leave and socialize or get tape is not the problem Christine should have been more polite and acknowledged I was there, maybe a "I will be right with you I need to grab some receipt tape." Instead of saying sorry, she begins to argue with me that she didn't see me. ??? Really!!! Once she beings to ring up my order she still continues to talk to the cashier in front of her saying "Thats how out of it I am today"...and "Oh no It was because Kevin was talking to me." At this point Christine is still not acknowledging me or taking responsibility a simple Im sorry would have been fine. Not a ton of excuses to her coworker on why she was so rude. When you shop at a store I stongly feel that the most important position in the store is the cashier that is the last impression the customer is left with. You could have the most beautiful, clean, fully stocked store but if that last impression from the cashier is horrible customer service then no one wants to return to that. Customer service should be a priority without the customer the store doesn't make sales. Yes my 30 dollars spent there is not going to make a difference you could be thinking go shop somewhere else if you dont like it but Christine should not treat customers this way she needs to get some retraining on Customer service that would definitely help you have more returning customers in the long term read more
