This used to my go to grocery store but tonight was my last visit. The cashier was rude. No name tag. I was advised after she had rung me up no cash, card only and no cash back. Such a disservice had I not had a card to pay for my transaction I would've had to go to another line. This store always has huge lines and not enough cashiers. Cleo and Leo sandwich, family sub sandwich! 11 year-old granddaughter request a sandwich from Stater Brothers when I was there trying to choose a certain kind of sandwich that my granddaughter wanted there was no label. What kind of meat in the sandwich, the request was turkey and ham. their was no labeled to identify what Meat was in the sandwich so I took it straight back to the deli to confirm the meat in the sandwich and they mentioned the proteins in the sandwich!the protein that was in that sandwiches! Is not what I wanted! So they said will make a sandwich for your granddaughter the way she likes it! That blew me away I said wow! Really! what Service! This store used to be my favorite Staters to go to. Not since they switched management. The manager (female) was rude to her staff and rude to her other manager, I think his name was Everette. I have seen him at this store on and off over the years and has always been pleasant. She just seems like a truly unhappy person and maybe should not work in the customer service field if she can't do her job. I am a regular at this location since it's near my job I went in today at 8:30pm the line for check out was extremely long took me about 10/15 min to finally check out usually the cashiers calls for back up other customers were also upset as to he was unable to call anyone for back up cashier apparently no one was there to be able to help I felt bad for the poor guy working the register having to hear the other customers complain they should do better with scheduling help especially summer when everyone shops later in the day when it cools down . read more

Instead of going to my normal Stater Bros in Upland or Ralph's I decided to stop at this Stater Bros worst decision I made ALL week!! First I grabbed Jimmy Dean turkey protein packs and the first 5 + expired August 15th and today is the 22nd GROSS! I told a lady working she should take them out of the case before someone buys them and gets sick. I got home and started making dinner and surprise...... my Tillamook cheese expired on July 23! After the protein packs were expired I should have checked but WHY is a grocery store selling so much expired food? I called the store and spoke with Virginia who simply said " oh yeah ... she told me about the expired protein packs" I told her about the cheese and she said,"You must have got the last expired one. These ones expire in September ". Does this lady think I lied? No offer for me to come exchange it or anything I asked her for the corporate number and after a few minutes she couldn't find it so I told her never mind I googled it and found it. I had to send my brother to Ralph's to get non expired cheese. They lost a customer and I will be notifying corporate. I already tried but they are closed for the day. So I went to pick up some steaks today. I get there and its states $4.99 for steaks "As advertised: I questioned why the paper says 3.99 and they say these are a choice cut. The ones for 3.99 are select. I said well your ad doesnt specify that. I ordered my steaks (8 of them) and decide to talk to the manager (Eliseo) and he wouldn't budge and we do have different cuts. The first year this location opened, my family moved into a house just around the corner. I often ventured here on foot as a kid. I've long since moved from that house, but not too far. I do also stop at other grocery stores, but this has remained my go-to supermarket since 1975. I've put off writing a review to avoid the difficulty of trying to put 40-plus years as a customer into a nutshell, but I suppose I might be about as qualified as anyone to review this store. Since I hold them to a high standard, I do have a few areas of complaint. Those include failure to keep sale items in-stock; waiting to open extra registers until lines reach epic crisis-mode, and some of their prices. But ultimately, prices here are usually better than national chains, It's generally well-organized, clean and professional, with a nice selection. I like this store, and I always have. I'll put it this way: if friends visiting this area were looking for a good supermarket, I'd have no hesitation at all sending them here. read more

This stater bros is absolutely disgusting. I bought their spinach pasta and I didn't realize until I got home that it had freezer burn and MOLD! I drove right back to return it. I forgot to snap a picture but I was too furious in the moment. Management didn't even give me back the full refund which I didn't care about. I asked them why they weren't contacting the deli to remove it and she said she was going to but come on that should have been the first thing to do before anything else. I have been coming to this one for years but I will drive out of my way to go to the one off Schaefer. Their management is more terrible than the food that could have gotten us sick. read more

My husband, three year old and I went in today to get some quick groceries and I understand that they're being worked hard and dealing with jerks ALL day. I couldn't believe the checker telling the bagger, "After you're done bagging these groceries you can go home, I want to go home I'm so tired of dealing with these people." Like really? An ok store. Small but it has been here a long time. Easy in and out. Today it wasn't to crowded so I had no problem getting what I needed.

This place is ok for grocery shopping unless your ok with half ass workers and bad customer service while trying to just get things for dinner. All I wanted was one thing! I looked for Tangerine juice by the brand Califia in the juice aisle that I've boughten before at this location, but sadly it was out of stock this time. I wanted it so bad I just wanted them to check the back real quick. I don't know what it is about workers nowadays that makes them so lazy they can't go above and beyond and check the back or make a phone call. I asked a woman on the floor a question (btw it's so hard to find a person on the floor which is annoying) and she flat out ignored me the beginning of my question. I literally made eye contact and was right in front of her and said "Hi I was looking for a juice that's out of stock could anyone check the back if there's more?" And she was walking away as I was talking and I kept trying to talk to her and she finally stopped and said "what?" Like as if I was bothering her. Then after I repeated myself she told me to go ask someone in the front!!! Like omg are you kidding me?! So I ask a cashier who's also ringing me up (only bought a bag of chips) and while in the middle of my question another employee leaned over the counter on the side of me, cut me off and basically pushed himself in front of me to ask her for a pen. She should of told him she's busy with me that was so rude and unprofessional. After I asked my question she just came up with an excuse that it's not in the back and MAYBE it'll be back in stock soon. (What she should of done was call the back and ask someone back there to double check and ask when it'll be back in stock) she was also mumbling real bad and speaking real low I couldn't understand her so I just kept agreeing so she could stop making excuses to why she didn't wanna work any harder than she had to. Then when my fiancé finished paying she started talking to another female coworker about drama not about work, completely ignoring us and handed the receipt with her whole back to us.
