I came outside running and told the truck driver that I did not order bricks or anything construction related. I instructed him to get out of my property and to remove the bricks. He refused to acknowledge my statements and continued unloading bricks. After a brief argument I told him I was the rightful owner of the home and that he was trespassing after being told he was not welcomed in the property. He said the address of the invoice was correct (it listed the previous owner), that he was going to continue with his work! I called the police (911 and non-emergency). The police refused to issue a citation and the incident was treated as an "honest mistake". While I do agree there might have been some confusion regarding the address, the driver failed to do the following: * He never rang the doorbell or spoke with any of the residents to confirm the delivery name/address before delivering the bricks. * He refused to remove himself of my property after being instructed to do so. * He refused to remove the bricks of my property after being instructed to do so. * He did not acknowledge my legal rights as the property OWNER. He was very condescending and asked if maybe my husband ordered them. As a woman in 2020, it was very demeaning for a man to assume I had no knowledge of the things that are bought for MY house. It was also very demeaning to not be treated with equal rights, the driver told me to check with my "husband", he pretty much ignored me because I am a woman. I do have legal rights and an independent voice - and my voice was telling you to GET OUT OF MY PROPERTY!

If I could leave zero stars, I would. Three years after hiring General Lumber, we're still dealing…read morewith the consequences of their poor workmanship and lack of accountability. We selected General Lumber after comparing several companies, trusting Robert--our main point of contact--who repeatedly assured us, "We're local and not going anywhere." That promise quickly unraveled. We hired them to order Marvin windows and manage installation for 17 windows across two units in our building. They were not the cheapest, but we chose them based on their claim of experience and quality. During installation, Robert and his contractor decided to alter the placement of the windows without understanding the original design intent or performing any verification. They admitted they "didn't understand" why our previous windows were placed where they were--but moved forward anyway. We trusted them as the supposed experts. That was a costly mistake. Shortly after installation, water began leaking into both units and the shared lobby during rainstorms. These areas had never experienced water intrusion in the five years prior to the install. We raised the issue immediately in September 2021. Robert visited once, performed a cursory visual inspection, and began a months-long pattern of excuse-making and blame-shifting. He variously blamed a "once-in-a-lifetime storm," the cornice, and our roof--none of which stood up to basic scrutiny or third-party inspections. Instead of acknowledging the problem or investigating further, Robert and General Lumber resorted to misinformation and deflection. At one point, they claimed water wasn't entering "through or around" their installation--ignoring the fact that they had changed the physical placement of the windows, which compromised drainage and blocked weep holes. Our own hose testing demonstrated conclusively that water was entering above the windows--exactly where they sealed over a critical drainage gap. General Lumber refused to take accountability, perform any real diagnostics, or even revisit the job site for follow-up testing. When we withheld the final payment due to unresolved issues, they threatened us with legal action and filed a lien against our property. We went to arbitration. My husband, with no legal training, meticulously presented our evidence. Robert and his legal team were unprepared. Their entire defense relied on vague references to extreme weather and unverified claims--while we provided photographic evidence, water test results, contractor correspondence, and expert confirmations. The arbitrator ruled in our favor. The outcome? We still have 12 faulty windows that will need to be completely redone at a cost of $12,000 or more--on top of the $28,000 we already paid General Lumber. Robert and his team never stood by their work, never offered a solution, and used legal threats to try and silence us. This has been a nightmare of wasted time, money, and stress. If you're considering General Lumber--especially if you're trusting Robert to stand by his word--proceed with caution. They talk a good game about being "local" and reputable. But when things go wrong, they disappear, deflect, and leave you to pick up the pieces.

In search of a new kitchen and bath tub faucet and learned there are several size circumference options specifically for the kitchen faucet. While chatting with knowledgeable employees you learn how to distinguish the differences in these specific hardware in order to ensure the right fit and avoid returns. The space is huge and a lot of area to cover therefore I always seek a representative who can assist with directing me to the section needed without overwalking. The price of many home improvement items are a balance for the value of the items i was in search of. Always a good run when visiting the store in search of fixtures/hardware or anything home related that I need upgrading.

As always, go in the store for one thing, come out with more than I intend to get. Saw the beautiful flowers, and immediately ran to the garden section. The store had a portable grow room, why did I see that? My mind wandered to, how nice it would be to grow my own green leaf lettuce, and various veggies I use to juice with daily. The service at this store was super fantastic, the staff in the garden center are very helpful. Could not ask for better service. Remembered, I needed to do a wallpaper project so I needed liquid nails, and the caulking gun. Now I'm wandering around the store thinking of all these DIY projects I could be doing, in my mind...(geez) Now onto flooring, as I'm roaming the store. Alexis walks up to me to ask if I needed assistance. Which I thought was extremely kind, and made me want to spend even more. After looking at the AI refrigerators, washer & dryers, I get to flooring, and this Lowe's does not have the plastic cover I need to protect my beautiful zebra print runner. It's in stock at Rutherford. Based off the service, selection, and value, definitely rate this Lowe's 5 stars. This store offers great value, the prices are great, and better pricing than local neighborhood stores.
