They were on time, covered my crown molding to avoid any damage and did an exceptional job bringing the natural shine to my once dull floors. I can't say enough good things about the work Marble-Lite did for me. I was STRESSED because after an earlier mess-up on my small marble bathroom floor by my contractor which required me to spend over $100 more in materials the contractor made a second mistake causing grout to get stuck all over the brand new tiles (see before pictures). Marble Lite completely replaced a rotting wood floor in our backyard with a newly poured cement base and ceramic tiles. They were extremely professional and did exactly what we asked for them to do; arrived each day of the job on time and ready to work; started and finish on the days agreed. They began by protecting our home floors and removing all of our personal property from the job site. Each work day they finished by sweeping and cleaning all effected areas of our home. When minor adjustments to the scope of work were required, the issues were quickly agreed with no additional charges. What happened was kind of crazy and don't know if it's worth a review, except for the level of rudeness directed at me because I never had any work done. When I first called Susie, the receptionist, she connected me to a man who told me he'd call me on Thursday and come to see the job. I explained the job to him, which is basically trimming 5 1/2 inches of a stone countertop which I originally had made too long because I thought it would work well for me and give me more countertop space. What I discovered over time is that it cut into my table space so it was actually a bad idea. He said he'd call before coming that Thursday. We spoke on a Monday. No one called and no one showed. Since I didn't have the name of any other service professionals who work with stone and quartz counters. I called several times, and it just so happened no one picked up the phone during work hours. I figured since the job was so small maybe they didn't want to bother with it, because after all, it is time and money to come to someone and perform work especially when you're a big business performing big jobs. I figured I'd give it one last try. I called and a man picked up. I told him why I was calling and asked him if I had spoken to him before and he said, "No, speak to Susie." So Susie got on the line and this is how the conversation went. "Hi Susie, I'm Joy and we spoke before regarding a job where I wanted a countertop reduced in size. One of your men told me he was coming to look at the job and he was supposed to come on Thursday (It was now Wednesday the following week) but he never called and never came. I'm wondering since the job is a small one, if your business is not interested in doing the work." Susie screamed at me, "What kind of way is that to talk on the phone and how dare you accuse me?" I guess she meant because I did not bother more with pleasantries, like, "How are you?" and got to the point. I replied, "I'm not accusing you of anything, I'm asking if someone is going to come or if the job is too small?" Susie continued yelling, "How dare you blame me?" I said, "I'm not blaming you for anything. I'm calling to find out if there is any interest in doing the job." "No the boss said he doesn't have time and how dare you. YOU HAVE A NICE DAY!" Susie continued screaming in my ear for no reason and hung up as I replied, "Yes you have a nice day too." I thought this was very strange because everything I said was in a modulated tone and although I got straight to the point - I was polite. I just don't get this kind of behavior unless she was super-stressed and is used to being blamed for the inadequacies of the people she works for or she was in super-bad mood and I was her nearest target? Don't know I can only guess but it still is not a nice way to be treated. She could have just said, "I'm sorry, our boss decided the job is too small to accept. My apologies that we didn't get back to you sooner." That would have been appropriate in my book. read more

We had about 40' of counter tops made and installed within less than a week of taking the measurements. The template was made promptly and the fit was perfect. The four-man installation team was excellent, meticulous in their work, prompt and professional, with great attention to detail. The price quoted was lower than that of any of the other five granite people we went to see, including the one initially recommended by our contractor. The special edge we selected was at no extra cost. We now have the most beautiful kitchen ever. Our contractor was so impressed with the quality of the work, the speed of the job completion, and the reasonableness of the price, that he took the name of Marble Lite to use on other jobs.
