We had a very unfortunate experience with Statewide Movers. Initially Everything was going accordingly with the move. Pretty efficient and flexible to accommodate our needs. Things turned bad when we discovered cash missing from my sons bureau. There was no explanation other than one or more of the movers being involved. We called Bob and initially he was responsive and concerned given the circumstance. He talked to his guys who obviously denied it. We filed a police report but short of a confession they said there was nothing they could do. When my son asked Bob to consider compensation he stopped communicating. Consumer beware read more

I had done a lot of research before moving from MA to NC, and finally found the perfect movers (or so I thought). Alan came to the house and spent a lot of time with us. Few things I wanted to be sure were: 1) Assure that Statewide Moving would serve the contract and don't broker it to some other company 2) Assure that out belongings were the only ones on the truck so nothing would get mixed up, and our stuff doesn't acquire someone elses bugs and investations. Alan assured us this was the case, so we went with Statewide Moving. On the day (Friday), the furniture was picked up, everything went extremely smoothly and our belongings were loaded carefully. The moving truck had the STATEWIDE MOVING COMPANY signage so it seemed they were using one of their trucks. The following Tuesday, our belongings arrived in NC. We were at the house to receive the items. Here's what went extremely wrong: 1) Despite being assure that our belongings were the only items on the truck, there was other stuff on the truck destined to FL 2) Some of the other stuff was unloaded into our house and we had to tell the people several times that these are not our items (they were loaded back into the truck) 3) The truck was no longer a truck bearing the STATEWIDE MOVING COMPANY signage (it was some other company's truck) 4) We are still to this day (weeks after the move) missing a box and get no reply from Alan 5) Without a doubt our missing box was delivered to FL Lessions learned: - If in any way possible, move your stuff yourself because you seriously cannot trust anyone. - Don't believe what you hear, get every single detail in writing (only your belongings on the car, after loading there will not be any moving of items from one truck to another, etc.) - And most of all, I would never ever hire STATEWIDE MOVING (West Bridgewater, MA) again. read more

This should be your first phone call and the only call you need. We used them for a very large move on August 20 2016. It took, 6 guys 11 hours to move us across town. We had a lot of stuff and large furniture, and 4 bedrooms sets. Everything was disassembled and reassembled without any issues. Before they were completely done they made sure everything was where we wanted it and would move around again if necessary. They were wonderful, professional, hard working, never complained, kind, considerate, just a pleasure to deal with all day. I would not hesitate to refer them to family and friends and if I ever needed them in the future, this would be the only call I made. read more

The men who moved me accused me of breaking a leg off a sideboard table in a dining room. What happened was the table was brought in with the explanation that this table has spindly legs and they tend to crack. Not true. I was told not to move the piece . Now who brings in a piece of furniture expecting the customer will NEVER move it? PLEASE!! They knew the leg was cracked. They most likely carried it in partially at least with the legs. I put a light item on the table and the leg feel off. Interesting that it was in the thick section nearest the table top. I WAS ACCUSED OF BREAKING THE TABLE. Funny it had no defects when it left my former residence. Secondly , I had a large vertical file cabinet that had rods and clips to hold the files . They were taped down with gorilla tape. They did not stay the way. Well, the claim is the drawers must have been turned over and they fell out. These heavy rods and clips are made for this cabinet. What the movers did was put them into my personal files. They should have brought them directly to me to hold onto. Terrible! Thirdly , I had a mirror in back of my large dresser apparently missing a clip to hold the mirror upright. Funny that the mirror stood upright at my former residence. It no longer does. What happened?Lost clip? Next, I had drawer spacers in my roll top desk taped in with gorilla tape. Some were missing. Finally, I had a large vase with reeds in it that never appeared in my new residence. What happened here? read more

So happy with the service I received from Statewide Moving. The owner came by about 2 weeks before the move to get an idea of the number of guys to send, as well as to see about how long it would take. He was right on! It was a 3 bedroom ranch with a finished basement and a shed too. I packed about half of the house myself (took me over a week), his guys showed up at 8 am, and had the rest of the house packed up by 1030! They came back the next day again at 8am and were completely done loading everything by 2pm. I didn't close on my new house until late morning/almost noon time, I wasn't sure if I'd be able to be at the new house in time to have them deliver or if it would have to be the next day. I called and the owner said no problem, his guys were on a loading job at the time, and once they finished their current job he'd send them over. His guys showed up at 5, and worked non stop until 9pm. The workers were professional, friendly, had great attitudes, and did not complain once. One of them even took the time let me know to tighten up the screws on my baby's crib as they tend to loosen up after about a week of the crib settling, which I was not aware of. The price was excellent, the service was excellent, and the guys doing the job were outstanding. Highly recommended. read more

Statewide movers were fabulous. 3 gentleman showed up not just on time, but a bit early. They walked around talked about what we wanted to move and they started. Everything was a bit crazy of course and to be honest, we had no idea where most of the furniture was going. They moved it in, moved it around and in most cases where they thought it should go was the most logical and we hardly moved anything after they left. Good natured, very polite and we couldn't have asked for anything more, except guess what... came in under estimate. After 30 years in one house, we were a bit worried, but everything went so smoothly and we arrived in Wareham where we hope to be for quite some time. Thank you so much for everything. These guys were great. I had to move a very large hutch that has been in the family for a long time. Tony and his crew took such great care in getting it wrapped securely and moved quickly.
